honestly, i don't think aespa's main dancer or the dance line are totally bad.. they're just expecting a yeji or momo level.. and sm is giving them choreos and songs that don't fit their style.. as you can see in black mamba, they're good!! facials, stage presence and it looks like they're enjoying the stage but sm gave them savage, which i think is too powerful and too hard for them.. i hope sm gives them more enjoyable or comfortable choreos! and yea, giselle really has to work on her moves and every member should work on facials.. but fr, they're not as bad as they say!
oh definitely! black mamba was their best choreography so far, i love next level's choreo too, but it just doesn't do them justice. winter's popping style is really nice to see, it's different from most female dancers, and karina's control over her moves is pretty impressive for a rookie imo. their facials look better in dreams come true, probably because it's easier to smile than to have a "serious but not blank" face lol people need to realize there's a difference between a bad dancer and a dancer who didn't get to show their full talent YET. the girls aren't bad, ppl are just mean and expect idols to do miracles with choreos that seriously limit what they can show...

Just stopping by to say hi :) I have a question. What's your opinion about Aespas dance line (especially Karina) compared to other 4th (main) dancers? Just asking to get another perspective rather than my own😊
@@psychorious niiiice!! btw, while you're here... can i have your opinion on ive's gaeul? i'm working on eleven rn and so far, i can't see anything that separates her style from the rest, it's like she does the choreography without adding her own style to it... for example, if we compare her to yujin, yujin adds a lot of power in her moves, she adds something to her performance, but gaeul seems to focus on doing the moves exactly like their dance teacher showed them. it's not bad, but it makes it kinda hard to analyze her when i don't have anything specific to say skjhdsjk
@@jellyiren I'll be brutally honest. Gaeul doesn't have the main dancer vibe. It's quite challenging to jugde her abilities based on the little content, but so far, I don't see anythig special. Just like you said she only focuses on the "choreography" rather than "adding her own style into it". I've watched "eleven", "thats my girl"; "take it", and their cover of "Boss" (her leg aligment + placement was kinda weird during the chorus part.. Also at 2:00, her overall body coordination, looks stiff. She doesn't properly bend her knees (+ underwhelming levels, she's mostly upright. link --> ua-cam.com/video/E11DF_5036M/v-deo.html ). Although they're based on the technique, it's also evident that she doesn't have enough groove. Just trace to 2:17 (the boss video), when she does a body rotation. Idk it almost looks emotionless or just stiff. right now, I would put her in 2nd place. I don't really think she's either a lead dancer material compared to other 4th lead dancers. I think she's only getting the dance title, because she doesn't have other roles to fulfill (wonyoung being a center material, Leeseo the maknae, Yujin the leader, Liz the vocalist, and Rei the rapper). But Ive doesn't have a strong dance line, so yeah. This would be my ranking: Rei and Wonyoung at the bottom, Liz and Leeseo either 4th or 3rd. Gaeul (2nd, but still low for a main dancer, I just checked out their official position), and Yujin in 1st place (but I don't see her as a main dancer either). But don't take my opinon for granted 😅 I usually change my opinions all the time. It would probably change after a few comebacks
sure!! i've been going to classes since i was 4yo, so it's been 14 years in different styles, but mostly contemporary and hiphop (i did a bit of ballet too, but emphasis on "a bit", it was only around two years and i was a kid so anything beyond basis is self taught), i've been part of an adult competitive crew for a year (before covid shut it down) and i was a dance teacher (again, before covid made it stop

Because the whole Choreo of Savage had a lot of locking and popping it's really hard to pull the whole song and the fact the song is really hard too

YEAHHHH she is!! one of my favourite dancers to watch tbh, her technique is pretty original among other 4th gen female idols
