As long as you are not out of status (illegal) you can apply and will be eligible to adjust your status depending on visa restrictions if you have any eg J1 with 2 year home residency.
Hello, How can i go about a situation when im un married to my gal friend with 2kids (1 with me and other from a previous relationship), in the entry for DV 2026, is un married and 2kids the right choice and filing an affidavit- a supporting document acknowledging my relationship status as cohabitating, shared responsibilities and the kids(biological and defacto step daughter)...without the green card forcing marriage b4 the entry or after the selection leading to the interviews. What do you think? Or i select un married and 1 biological son??? bt I feel upon selction t could be foolhardy to convince the consulate that i was mindful of the other part of my family(mother+stepdaughter) that i fear t cud lead to automatic disqualification. What are your informed pieces of advice on my situation?

You can use old provinces to apply. Its not very significant part of the application.

If you plan not to renew your contact you can say Kenya. But it doesn’t matter since if you win you will update current address on ds260.
