    They look brand new!

      9 months later and they still look new! I've bought 3 more of the kits to do some other vehicles with similar results. I've tried several other kits and this is the only one that works and seems to hold up (so far).

    What do you use to keep your black trim so black? I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S and looks like crap compared to yours. Seriously, your Coop looks fantastic!
    Nice the t-shirt, too.

      Appreciate it! I use the 303 Protectant spray on all of the plastic trim (and the plastic interior parts).

      I use chemical guys VRP. it's for tires but works really good on the trim too. you have to reapply every once in a while though

    So now that you've done this almost 2 years ago, are you still satisfied with the results? Has the yellowing returned?

      They could probably use a touch-up, but they still look significantly better than they did before using the kit.

    My results were not as good. Honda Si with narrow headlights and many angles. Going to try again.

      I've bought a couple more of these kits and done some other vehicles. Both turned out good, but on the more complex headlight designs you have to really make sure you sand it good. One was an '05 Toyota Tundra with big flat lights and the other was an '05 Dodge Ram with bubby narrow lights. The Ram took at least 3 times as ling as the Tundra to do. Both turned out very good.
      I like this kit. It's been 10 months since I did the Mini Cooper and it still looks brand new!

    This kit really is good at bringing a near-new look to headlights. But just a note for everyone, the lifetime warranty is only good if you register the product when you buy it. And you definitely need to do that, because the restoration only lasts for most people for a year or two with this kit. Sylvania makes bank by counting on us not registering. Buying this kit three times will buy most of us brand new headlights that won't cloud up for more than a decade, so make sure you get free kits for life by registering at time of purchase!

      Good to know. I briefly read that, but never registered the kit. (I always forget to register warranties). I guess I'll have to see what happens.
      I usually just replace the lights on most Japanese and American cars (new headlights are usually cheap for them and you can almost never polish them to look as good as brand new), but most European cars have headlights worth almost more than the car. A new pair of OEM Xenon headlight assemblies for this car costs almost $1400 from pelican parts!

    so how is it holding up? have you applied any wax or ceramic coating since you did this???

    • @HufflerGarage
      @HufflerGarage  3 роки тому

      It's been about a year and they still look pretty much like they did after doing the kit. They have maybe a very slight hint of yellow. I haven't added wax or anything.
      I've also used this kit to do the headlights on a couple trucks up north back in March. Hopefully we can see how it holds up with all the road salt this winter.

    Hey, did this kit hace enough for both headlights? Or do you need to buy two kits, 1 for each headlight?

    • @HufflerGarage
      @HufflerGarage  3 роки тому +1

      It has enough to do both headlights. I bought another one of these kits and was able to stretch it to do both a Toyota Tundra and a Dodge Ram.
