I like a lot of other viewers am in disbelief at this episode and the rainbow beach episode. I used to watch you guys back in the early days and things have changed from being professional to looking like a bunch of first timers on the beach. I know in the heat of the moment you can forget things but tyre pressures and driving that close to the water in a place like there which is known for soft sand and then lowering tyre pressures to 15psi amazes me
I run this area in a bog stock nx pajero with more road going AT's. 12 psi and I'm getting through these spots with ease. Not sure what's going on here. Oh I'm on the stock 18s too.
When bogged down to the chassis in sand, a hi-lift jack (standing on a spreader plate) with a wheel adaptor on, means that you can lift the wheel (axle) out of the hole, back fill the hole, slip a traction board underneath and drive off. This is often faster than shoveling, especially is soft sand that just wants to cave in. Sometimes (if you have diff locks) a line of traction boards under just one wheel, will get you double the distance once you get moving, compared to having boards under each wheel. Having myself been in a similar situation - 3 cars stuck in an incoming tide, and one with a broken CV, I thought I'd share our lessons.
I watched this and I'm sorry if people think this was a good show then think again like you said Josh 15 psi these guys have no ideal. my starting pressure on very soft sand is 12 PSI
That area is amazing. Try to run a trip through that area once a year.. and we have had similar experiences to yours in having to recover off the beach. Certainly pays to be prepared there!
Should have bagged those tires to 7psi. If you can’t walk on your side wall keep deflating. You only need to get out of the bog then pump up to a safer pressure.
With our Triton MN on that Canunda beach we got stuck with 12psi, to get out and continue the run required 6psi. Those beaches can be a trap for beginners. I'm from the bush and now steer well clear of beaches.....along with salt lakes.
A few years back i found myself stuck in soft sand just in the water of an incoming tide with no recovery gear and not a minute to waste, i pulled all 4 valves completely out and drove patrol up out of the water and off the beach about 50 meters away. As i got off the beach i lost 2 tyres off the rims. The patrol was safe off the beach. Was as close as it gets.
It is hard to imagine how bad the situation can be when cars often going down the beach with no problems in Adelaide. 😅 But after this episode, I would not think it is a good idea 😰
Just watching this and the first thing I said, tyre pressures too high, then it came on the screen, dropped tyre pressures down to 15 psi. Got to be kidding me, dropping down to 15, should have been down to 12 psi in the first place and then down to 10 or even 8 psi. Why are people scared to drop down to very low pressures. Ok, you don't drive like a crazy man, drive to get out of a situation like this. But with all these dramas, did a great job getting out of that prickly situation.
You have no idea!! It broke down completely on the exit. We will release a sneak peak extra clip that didn't make the cut of the episode soon. It had to be towed out by the 79 hahaha
probably should have done the basics first. Stop, assess the situation, come up with a plan then execute the plan. looks like everyone was out to save themselves. and as everyone else has stated you probably best to go to 10psi and walk them up the beach. you could have used everyone's traction boards to move 1 car at a time to a better position.
It's funny reading all these comments and without going into details, there is a lot that happens behind the scenes and there's a lot that doesn't make the TV edit because of time restrictions. We did drop down to 10PSI, the truck and caravan opted not to do the climb and everyone worked on one car at a time...which is why there are people from four other vehicles working to get the worst placed vehicle out first. The recovery was run by one person who did stop, assess and get the situation sorted. It was just tough with the tide coming in, rain pouring down and the other issues. At the end of the day, everyone had fun, no one got hurt and we all got out with great stories to tell. Was an epic recovery and a great end to a brilliant trip.
Hoping to see writen off and insurance not pay out. 🤡🤡 LOL 😆 🤣 it's all put on you can see when they drive oven the boards the tyres clearly not remotely let down....
Thank you for your feedback. Feel free to read through some of the comments. We were all under 20PSI but the SA sands and beaches are notorious and we should have been as low as 12. Far from staged but it was a great experience.
@@4WDTV I know the feeling getting bogged in an incoming tide, we lived 3 years permanent on Moreton Island, have been in quicksand and bogged on the beache while getting my boat out of the water. fun times. Sometimes things get set up to look dramatic, sorry for thinking that. was just wandering when someone said i let my preassure down to 15, i would have been on 15 from the beginning.
Can i just say, this is the first time i have watched a video from 4WDTV, and i wasn't too engaged to be honest. So thought i would give some constructive feedback. You need to focus more on filming the actual driving and keeping the audience with you living through those moments. Explain the situations that you get yourself in during the filming itself. Stop cutting back to the drivers explaining what is actually happening in the videos, WAY to many cut backs to them just explaining stuff that we could just see with our eyes (plus it would be less time in editing). Also, please dont have that lady from 360 on this show again. By the end of the episode with all the talking i was completely sick of hearing her talk. Anyways, just some thoughts. :)
I'll pass it onto the team. Our content is a bit different and set to a different pace then other youtube centric shows so its always a balance we have to figure out. Jackie from 360 is apart of the 4wdtv family. She keeps it lively. Thanks for the feed back josh Catch ya driving around, Michael (the dude who totally didn't break the camera car)
Not sure about this vid? Nobody should be within a 50 metre radius of those joined straps while snatching. Tyre pressures ? This should be your first go to. You were lucky it was raining and the sand had some moisture in it, a 40 degree day would have been interesting. Content was good, but if inexperienced people are looking to this for advice 🤔 stay calm, dont panic, your thoughts will be clearer and you will make better decisions 👍
Anyone doesn’t think this all staged on the beach 🏝️ is delusional. All three trucks conveniently backed up to the crest of the beach. With all the camera tripods watching. Tire pressure are inflated so anyone will get stuck then deflated when needed.
That guy cant drive 4x4 🤦🏽♂️ had Full lock on the steering as he reversed popped the cv. All he had to do was keep that steering straight and stop over throttling 🤦🏽♂️
Your joking me, 15psi guys, you're meant to be professionals. Why aren't You eastern staters dropping your pressures lower. STOP mucking around, drop them to at least 10psi. I run 10psi, on my 33s 17inch, 315mm wide Diesel Avalanche rims, BFGoodridge K02s. Don't overload your vehicle. And you'll be fine. You'll hardly get anywhere in WA running those pressures. Fantastic video, but you could easily go lower.
Hahaha well that wasnt very well staged . . . . Wow this sand is getting really soft . . . why dont we all do down to the water and turn around at the same time . . . . . LMFAO
All the stickers and no idea 🤣

I reckon I would have been at 10 PSI to get out of that soft shit.

yes that is another good technique thank you.
All the gear, no idea! 😅
who the heck parks so close to the water must be very experienced! lol
this was a good one lads, cheers
The drama is on a level challenging that of MAFS episodes, not that I watch that filth 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome Teamwork Comeradie ; Real offroading.......Amazing Video footage...... what an Experience !!! Thanks
You won't get far in WA sand if you think 15psi is low tyre pressure 😂
I reckon I'd be straight to 10psi... come on guys 🤦♂️
I totally agree,
@@palma8120 100% matey. No mucking around 10psi.
To many stickers 🤣 weighing them down.

nice ! lots of action and lots of drama ! incrument weather conditions ! well played !
drama for sure!
What an absolute epic recovery from that Beach... Then a broken cv !!!!
Great vid.👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Good sh*t getting 3 bogged ones out
What a recovery!
Edgy as hey
Damnnnnn what an intense situation!!
More dramatisation than real danger
Yes finally the episode i have been waiting for!! This was similar to my experience down there. hard core beach that one
was definitely a full on day!
Another good reason to always go out with good company. Great trip. Well done.
Was definitely an interesting one
We usually start on 15psi 🤣 could have all driven out easily on 8
Such a wild trip
Carpenters Rock to Kingston, one of my favorites.
beautiful spot!
Deadly for beginners.......like me, been there done that.😳
Either the camera man doesn’t like Mike or Mike doesn’t like digging himself out ... didn’t see him doing whack all
I would have told him to get the f*** out and dig the 🤡

Great video, bit hairy for those 3 but great job

Mike never left he's cab , he's not passed out on a shovel 🤣🤣 classic , oldest trick in the book let the boys pull u out
You know it 😂
Great vid guys looked like fun.
A few mud in the undies moments great content🙌🤙
Staged or they’re all from the 40psi club.
Remember fellas 14psi down to 10 psi will give 40% more tyre surface on the sand!
you're not wrong there!

Do you do a dedicated review/upgrades ep on the Iveco ?
Yeah we got you dude: m.facebook.com/watch/?v=849546875396412&_rdr
We have a few more upgrades done, so will make a newer review soon

@@4WDTV to be honest, seeing the bogs it's been in over the years, they'd be taking its toll lol. Love the videos,
Were the rangers BTC and ETC fully off by pressing the traction control for 5 secs till the traction dash light flashed 5 times??

Rims are too big on those Utes so letting down air is less effective
That was hard to watch, I’ll leave it at that.
Lucky one for all ,I run 10 maxy tracks for my truck ,cause when 6 tonnes is stuck it's stuck
Sounds like a bloody nightmare
rookie error.....on the beach without checking tides!!
Is that oztrack bacon ? And oztrack eggs
naa see now were all about those MDC wagu steaks
Gobble gobble Ho Ho Ho
Worst part would've be the rain. Nothing worse than trying to get something done and being saturated.
This has to be a joke, surely ! Stay away from the beach if it isn't !
Great video. I think we could do without old loves commentary next time tho 😂
oh that's a bit harsh 😜
All the gear and no idea. 10psi and more knowledge of sand driving, none of you would’ve been stuck
Too many stickers on the cars
You don't go on those beaches out of the defined lines along the top and never on rising tide.
Taller tires would help on the beach.
