If they weren't in California I would totally want a job there, but I'm at least glad to know my grips are being made stateside in what looks like a really nice factory.
good to see all the recycling and sustainable design. A signature recycled colourway would be killer, and a bit of a mystery as to what each grip'd exactly feel like.
they already do for other lesser brand companies alot of stock grips get made here or from those scraps. alot of brands do it mainly makes the shit grips that come on cheaper bikes
ODI grips are highest quality and performance, I run their "O" grips on all my bikes, and have a bunch of spares. Every single grip is flawlessly molded, and the design itself functions perfectly -- not too firm, not too soft.
I am a Mountain Biker and this popped up so awesome to see how they make the grips I use well close since these are BMX but still cool. Also to be honest a slightly shorter set with out the flange and lock ons would be sick on a trail bike
This was awesome guys love this kind of videos. Ah my man Demo has an odi sponsorship recently. Odi must make a new grip for Demarcus or re make their odi xl grip.
would be much more environmentally friendly to sell the grips with imperfections for a lower price then shredding them to pieces, produce mikroplastics and ship them to careless customers...
@@johnnysofresh91 I wish you weren't gay cause obviously you don't have much experience in bmx, when it rains or you have metal pedals it's easy to slip and hit your balls on your seat or cut your leg on your pedals.I'm not saying to walk around with caution cones that say ODI,I'm just saying it'd be cool to have a grip shoe better than vans.
Our BMX thank you. To you think it’s possible that they can make grips for a company I’m starting with my friends? We are just starting out and are looking for products to make, we want to know if they would be able to work something small out with us

Dude, no shit. The concept here is that the processes they have in place create LESS waste. You know, like instead of throwing a plastic cup away and getting another one, you just reuse that cup. So instead of two cups in the trash, there's only one. Ya'lllll are so dense sometimes...
this should be a series of videos covering bike parts production
That’s the plan. I’ll be heading up to S&M soon. 🙌
Agree! would love to see how tires are made
Ah, that one will be hard. I believe there's only one usa tire manufacturer, unfortunately.
I wanna see how they make and weld frames
RalphM25 i agree
That's some crazy injection molding, so cool that ODI is doing this in the US
Matt Erbach and still able to sell the grips at a great price

As a passionate rider and although I dream to be a downhill mechanic this would be an awesome place to work

Great video! Industry insider features are great. Hope to see more of these from you! Also funny thing with all the Huckers around the plant.
Have always loved ruffian grips, love my new elite pro's even more. So good to see how they are made.
This is an amazing look into how much work goes into making the grips, even more amazing is the factory is here in the US

ODI changed the game with the Long Neck grips. I refuse to run another grip and it’s been 22 years since I bought a different grip.

do you guys do collaboration grips?
what material is this because i want to start making grips and i cant find a material to use
My first Odi grips were in the 80s. Odi mushrooms. They were black. Hard to beat a odi grip
I would take all the flawed grips 😱
Matt Hubbard ikr
Mason Patrick hell I would use them cause I build custom bmx bikes

leeeeni did you not watch the video at all? They showed what they use the ground up grips for
Good work🤘🖤
Those shins at 0:06 ..... Damn.
Really awesome 👏🏽
Mushrooms grips are still my favorite.
Cult Ricany grips are the best ever.
Best in the game
Do you just pay all the Huckers one paycheck? I mean technically it’s the same person right? Eco friendly!
Odi the best grips of all time other than the vans grips
I love huckers they is goat
I think ODI should bring back the ODI Ruffneck grips
I love your video

I bet it make a cool looking grip if you just made all the mixed recycle colors into a grip
Odi should have people send their old grips in
I ride cult grips but I use to ride odi longnecks for years. I would still probably ride them if they made them in 150 mm flangeless.
Well, techincally you're still riding ODI grips. They make all the cult grips, too.
Our BMX yeah that’s why I mentioned them. But I’ve never had any cult grips last me longer than 3 months but the longnecks would last years!

Recycled grips turn into packaging that goes into the landfill?
Opposed to just going to the landfill right away, yes. That’s how recycling works.
