The first verse is sang by IU. The second verse is sang by Hyein of NewJeans and the 3rd verse is sang by Joe, WonJun. The narration at the end was the legendary Patti Kimwho has since retired and lives in the US. She wanted to have 3 generations of women on this video. Hyein who is in her teens, IU who just entered her 30's, and Joe, Wonjun is in her 50's. Genius!!! She is really something isn't she..Tang Wei who is a chinese film star and really, really good decided to do her first MV because she loves IU.
Yes,and all these artists names clearly appeared on the MV title but haven’t be seen. Hyein’s voice was different from IU’s and Joe won jun’s. He could distinguish them if he pay more attention to listen this song. Yes it’s a B-side song in definition of music marketing but it didn’t change the fact that this song is one of IU’s masterpiece which included 4 generations of talented Korean singers.
Patti Kim is in her 70s/80s? With her narration included it can also be said the entire song spanning 4 generations 💪

This is the reason I haven't listened much to the other comebacks during this ridiculously packed season. IU's comeback has taken most of my attention. Seems she finally got serious with going global in her 30s. This is the best start possible
Yes she has her whole team called the IU Team that not only includes music band members but also dancers, stylists, hairdressers and even bodyguards, managers and other staff. These people have worked with her for years some have been with her since her debut which is why she considers them all family. Once, in an awards show she brought them on stage to introduce them and said “actually I’m just Lee Jieun (her real name) and together with these people we make IU”.

Queen IU has chewed up and eaten up the music industry with her comeback. Seriously, this album is a masterpiece. Every song is such a diamond. Every music video is a visual delight. IU is a true musical genius.

As you probably know, IU took control over her music many years back - releasing her first self-produced album, ChatShire, back in 2015 (a great album)...and she's also composed many of her most popular songs (Palette, Blueming, etc). It's also worth noting all the amazing composers she has collaborated with over many years - especially given the diversity of her music.
IU have an amazing band whos been with her for a long time. She pay them full time salary to just work w her all the time on everything she does. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is a live band. If you watch her show palette,she always has her live band with her playing live for her and her guests.
i think i read somewhere that she always uses real musicians/instruments and you put into words what i can't explain, bc if someone else would have done i stan u, it would be corny to me. but she takes care of all the little details to make the song come alivee and even the videos and whom she chose to work with brings more value to the song. and holssi pre chorus is everythinggg

LMAO no, the way you stopped your initial Holssi reaction to go watch something else BECAUSE SAME! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that song. Even though it didn't come out as your favorite off the album in the end, your initial reaction just made my day tbh lol. I don't listen to IU that much so I was wholly unprepared to have my wig snatched by that song. I've had it on repeat and it's def going on my top list this year. Ms. IU DID THAT. I was very happy to see DPR Ian in Shopper. I hope this leads to other big things for him, as someone who has followed him since his C-Clown days, I'm just so happy to see him being successful. :)

You need to check out DPR IAN, he color edits and Directed the Shopper MV also he was the male lead in the Shopper MV. He's an amazing artist, He's art!! He creates and direct his own MV's. Such a unique color of voice too.

As much as I love this album, I cannot fathom anything ever touching Love Poem. That was so god-tier, it seems unfair to compare anything to it. But yes, this one is gold.

Hyein has such a distinct voice for me so hard for me to se you not being able to identify it haha her vocal color is just beautiful as well as her singing style I find different from IU.So will disagree with you saying her voice got lost in the mix. Coz as you said people did pick up on the part where she was singing.
