So helpful! Thanks for sharing!
I don't have ducks, but know how they roll... this will be good info! Thank you.
Visit my ducks too
Ducks are so fun to be with in our backyard, including other animals like cats and dogs. We also need the Animal therapy.
They look so happy in that pond.
Thank you it was helpful
Awww I’m going to get my ducks an outdoor cushion for by their pool 😊
They are such a great addition, especially for my handiquaks!
Wow you can hug a duck❤
lol not all- but mine are especially snuggly!
Great ideas! I have 3 drakes and want to improve their situation. Ill subscribe and follow.
They like leaves too
Yes, I did that when we lived in MI! They do get compacted easily around here, so I would like an easy way to chop them up if I were to do it again.
ducks come geniticly to either be meat birds, egg layers (this is what i have) or dual purpose. i love my ducks. they are messy and noisey. but very entertaining. since i've recently moved states with completely different weather patterns and environment. it did come with a small barn that needs work (doors, windows) and is going to be lovely once set up. i also have chickens for their egg laying as well. and the chickens will teach ducks new tricks. and the ducks teach the chickens new tricks. so it's always amusing around our farm. excet that this new location comes with all new preditor problems. i always enjoy seeing what others have figured out is best for them, and might help me as well.
Yes they are so messy and loud! lol When we moved from MI it was an adjustment for sure. I'm always looking for ways to improve the setup, which is why I wanted to share my experiments! Thanks for watching :)
How is the set up running now i want to know
agreed! would love a follow up!
Thanks for asking! I was considering doing a quick follow-up video. So far it is working great! I have done one "deep clean" so far to get some of the trapped leaves and feathers, but it only took 30 minutes!
If a fox or Marder comes then they will dig under your fence and kill your ducks
Hey Sam, thanks for your concern! Luckily we have a well secured space in an urban setting with low predator pressure with motion cameras. We are also almost always home and have security dogs. They sleep in a completely enclosed predator proof coop so I understand if you were confused. If I were in a different setting, I would adjust accordingly :)
Gez, they need a swimming pool. They need WATER.
You have no idea and shouldn't be keeping ducks
Good point, but if you watched my other videos you might notice that they have a large pond with complete access :) It sounds like you have a lot of ideas- consider starting your own videos!
