From someone who went through RASP 1 let me give you some tips. 1. Get your PT Score over 300 before getting there. The pushups and sit-ups they want you to do have to be PERFECT. The run they judge hard on. If you aren’t lower then a 35 min they will look down on you. 2. Learn the Ranger Creed like the back of your hand BEFORE you get to RASP. 3. You will be there with NCOs as well, so treat them with respect as such. Just because they are students as well, doesn’t mean they don’t get respect and that FUCKED a lot of people up especially the E-1 11B kids who thought they were big and bad cause they Graduated OSUT. RASP is one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life, but it’s doable. As long as you don’t quit, you can’t be judged and say you never gave it everything you had.
Hunter Davis how did you hurt your back and wouldn’t you just get recycled to try again? Cole range is week 4 I thought so what made you fail during week 6?
Chris Laws Cole Range is week 3 and I was recycled. At the beginning of week 6 my class decided to do a surprise 6 mile Ruck with another 3 mile run at the end of the ruck in full kit. I already had back issues going in, and my back pretty much gave out and I was recycled to the next class. At the start of the second class, I made it to the end of Cole Range and on the ruck back my back slipped again, and at that point I had to think about my health and career so I had requested to be medically dropped.
@@jaylen3744 Focus on paragraph comprehension, word knowledge, arithmetic reasoning, and math knowledge, those are the really big parts of it most of the score is based on. The rest is mostly fluff that sees how you are with specific skill sets (like mechanic, IT, medical, etc). I really only studied for those and came out with an 83, qualified for everything.
11B. I served in the 82nd Airborne and graduated from ranger school. Never served in regiment. But this story is about two combat support E-4s in my company: our supply clerk and CBRN specialist. Both of them wanted Ranger school bad and made that very clear. It helped that they were both incredibly physically fit and had two of the highest PT scores in the company. It also helped that they were squared away. Even though they weren’t infantry, the 82nd Airborne is well funded and probably gets more Ranger school slots than any other non-ranger unit. Anyway they both took the initiative to get their ranger physicals. The chain of command wasn’t not supportive but infantry soldiers were the priority. Still, they had our Ops NCO test them on the Big 5 and they passed with flying colors. Then they went to the 82nd Pre Ranger Course which anyone can go to. It’s also the hardest PRC course in the army, even harder than the PRC course in regiment. They both flew through PRC with the PRC instructors letting our chain of command know that these two need to get sent to Ranger school ASAP. If you graduate from PRC at Fort Bragg, they will enthusiastically send you to Ranger School because the 82nd PRC has as bad an attrition rate as ranger school (and that’s by design). Our BN sent them on the next bus to ranger school and they both made it through first time go on everything in all three phases and our 1SG used them as examples to motivate the PSGs to get more 11Bs in their platoon to ranger school. Because they were combat support soldiers WITH ranger tabs, they become very rare even in their own MOSs. A few years later, they’re branch managers contacted them to ask if they wanted to go to RASP-of course they said yes. They successfully completed that and both got assigned to 2-75 in Washington. Typically combat support soldiers (JR soldiers) go through rasp and then to regiment and eventually they go to ranger school. A lot of them fail to make it through and after so many tries, they get sent out of ranger regiment. But if you’re a combat support soldier and you already have your tab, you’re GOLD for ranger regiment and branch managers will probably PUSH you to go to RASP afterwards.

If you want the join this regiment, do you have to be a BORN-US citizen, or can you join after getting citizenship through naturalization? I really need to know, because this is my main goal in life.
Is 2/75 still known as 2nd Aryan on Ft. Lewis? My first night there I had to listen to soldier talk about how much he hated having an N-word as BN CSM. Then he talked about holocaust denial. Then a team leader (N.L.) named his fire team 'Aryan Team'. I saw someone reading 'The Turner Diaries'. Then going to see 'friends' in Idaho (Hayden Lakes/Aryan Nations). One solider (M.S.) was going to have 'My Honor is My Loyalty' (SS motto) tattooed on him. Or is it less neo-Nazi these days?
Did you feel like you accomplished something and feel like you were important when you joined the Army? I just ask because I feel very useless currently and feel like I'm just a waste of space and a reason why I want to join is to feel like I'm a part of something important.
Flat feet definitely makes running and everything a little harder depending on how severe it is, I recommend talking to a foot doctor to see if they could get you custom soles it makes a big difference but in the end if you want to do something nothing can stop you
Is 19d (cav scout) a combat MOS? I am pretty sure it is, and I want to enlist as that. I just want clarification. Also I am 17. Edit: How important is good grades for highschool? Can I still enlist if I do the near minimum? I just really hate school. Or do I need to get at least a c average?
19D is not on the list for Rangers as far as I know, but it is absolutely a combat MOS. High school Diploma is all they really care about. Make sure you get a regular diploma.
You just need a diploma. The important thing is your ASVAB score and your physical condition. 19D is combat arms, so they do 16 weeks OSUT training(at Benning I think). Get in touch with a recruiter and tell them what you are interested in, and they can help you out.

It’s actually very common for Army National Guard soldiers to attend U.S. Army Ranger School.
I want to fight in a war. I tried enlisting in the US Army to become a Green Beret, however I have asthma. Is there anyway someone like me a can be deployed in armed combat? I’m looking at FBI SWAT and HRT but those are 6-7 year processes to simply apply for selection. I’m young now and want to fight. I don’t wanna wait another decade just for the fire to leave me.
Just turned 18 and im signing my contract soon, im hype.
I just got my 11x option 40 a couple weeks ago, I ship out July 12th
@C Freesus You never know, maybe we will, good luck to you too! RLTW
🤣crazy all my questions answered right on time !
That ruck run is a little harder than what you think I was a rip guy from back in the early 2000 era
The regiment will see me soon mark my words
Cody Comer same brotha
I’m 16 and black hawk down made me want to become a ranger
Not to be a D but I assume your hoo-ah is coming from The last stand of the two Delta operators that saved the UH-60 pilot. Msgt. GORDON, and Sgt. Shugart
Jeff H yep that’s exactly it. That scene made me want to join. Even visited randy shugharts grave in Carlisle Pennsylvania. Randy shughart was a ranger before joining delta. I wanna follow in his footsteps
@@shiftyguggs2415 great man. I just hate when people think of stuff like the movies. Keep a level head. Find a mentor and train. Square your self away and stay humble. Also glad you know that you start as a ranger and are selected for Delta.
Jeff H yeah I definitely understand that war is nothing like the movies in terms of the “glory” aspect of it. But seeing that scene made me want to at least serve 4 years as a active military personnel and hopefully become a ranger. Thanks for the advice.
i found it interested as i saw an interview from a former ranger and delta is that you dont need to go to ranger school to be a ranger . many in the ranger unit actually never went to ranger school and got the tab .
It’s a different school. There’s ranger school which is like a ranger inspired leadership course. Then there’s RASP which is an 8 week selection course to try and get into the regiment.
Are all those patches units you were in?
I'm Going to join the Rangers in about 2 years (I'm 16) and I will not fail, RANGERS LEAD THE F*CKING WAY!!!!

I received a 65 on my advanced in the Marine Corps I plan on joining the Army 75th rangers and yes I want advanced infantry
Can somebody please make a video about sniper school!!! And how to get there!!!! And what it’s like
Kevin Todd I believe Army sniper school is available for soldiers to apply for later on. I do not think you can get that in your contract and you may need to go 11x to even have a chance but I’m not sure. There are videos though so just look for them.
Check that link out. It quite literally has everything you need to know.

Not only can you go through RASP in the NG but also the SOF route (Green Beret).
There is no ranger regiment in the NG
@@hassanjacobs7506 correction not RASP; Ranger school.
Advice: get just airborne (option 4) and get airborne qualified first because as a option 40 airborne is not guaranteed if you fail and neither is your bonus
You can volunteer for rasp from airborne school or basic training and it’s basically a guarantee you’ll get it if you have the gt score
@@ethanmaguin They'll waive your gt score,if you qualified Expert on the range, and your pt score is good
This is a good idea to make sure you get your bonus and hopefully you can get recruited for rasp while you're at airborne as well
Jonathan Graham I can guarantee that they will not waiver a gt score... I my friend shot expert and had a 300 pt score and shot expert with 2 points off the gt score and he is currently in ft hood now. (This was like 3-4 months ago)

E-4 92y, joined national guard in 13 and completed my contract in 2019 honorable discharged, will it be possible to get ranger school in contract for reup ?
i went through the ranger indoctrination program on north ft lewis in 1979, served with the 2/75th, was also ri in dahlonega, if you want it its possible
If you want the join this regiment, do you have to be a BORN-US citizen, or can you join after getting citizenship through naturalization? I really need to know, because this is my main goal in life.
Do not have to be born
That's a good reason to join I fell the same way man , if you're single it's the way to go , you can put away some money and pick up some nice skills
@@devinreed9924 You're right. thanks
You think flat fleet will affect me during my time in rangers?
Flat feet definitely makes running and everything a little harder depending on how severe it is, I recommend talking to a foot doctor to see if they could get you custom soles it makes a big difference but in the end if you want to do something nothing can stop you
Is 19d (cav scout) a combat MOS? I am pretty sure it is, and I want to enlist as that. I just want clarification. Also I am 17. Edit: How important is good grades for highschool? Can I still enlist if I do the near minimum? I just really hate school. Or do I need to get at least a c average?
IT'S ALL A HOAX as long as you graduate. doesn’t mean you can slack off, still try your best.
You just need a diploma to answer that, as for the rest of your questions find yourself a good, honest recruiter.
Nah 19d is a pog
im a 25B in the 82nd airborne division and i want to go ranger cause i feel like i have something to prove what did you do to train and what did you have to learn before going in to ranger school

Great video it clarified me the doubts so i can serve in the regiment in different ways if im not get the branch than I want in the officer side
There were several Masters students in the ROTC when I was in college. They advanced a 'rank' every semester rather than every year like undergrad ROTC students since their program is shorter.
Could you do a video of how to get physically prepared for the 5 mile run please

So as a 91 series, if I were to go rangers, would I still more than likely not see combat?
you said the fact that not every Ranger is an 11Bravo at least ten times
I'm only 14 so I got time, but I'm kinda dumb so I probably won't get a good enough score to qualify which is a bummer because I would love to be a Ranger
Start studying now while you're still in school, it's not too late for you to improve your knowledge of the subjects you need to know. Build some confidence too, you'll need it not just in the Rangers but for life as well.
Tony Bayer thx man :)

No. They can attend Ranger School. But they will never become an Army Ranger unless they join the Army and complete RASP.
You don’t get citizenship anymore after joining the military
