After heavy rainfall open the engine dry any water on the fuel injector plastic cover. Fiat Ducato vans are renowned for poor rain drainage rusting the engine. Great van nice bicycle storage. Enjoy your new van!
We love our T5 going to be hard to sell him but we had definitely out grown it 💯🤙 If you have seen our vlogs you will definitely know 🤣🤣 Thanks for your comment and support we really appreciate it 💯🤜🏻🤛🏻
Definitely mate can’t wait to get stuck in sort bloody tracker out 1st 🤦🏼🤣 we’ve gone for a scorpion S5 tracker and ghost immobiliser from the tracker shop. Can get to the mods now 😎
Very nice….we have a ‘23 68 with pop top. There have been some good modifications/improvements to your model. On ours solar panel mounts on the rear roof( you can fit a small rack on the back), pop top ladder has to be stored in the van or garage, your solution superior and the kitchen draw and cupboards look good and probably better. We’ve been to Greece twice in ours since we’ve had it…….it’s brilliant - loads of storage and coped really well off grid. The fridge is amazing and uses very little power. Gas lasts ages. Enjoy “it”!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for the sub! Your '23 68 sounds amazing, and it's great to hear about the adventures you've had with it-Greece must have been incredible! I really appreciate your thoughts on the modifications and improvements, especially the pop top ladder and solar panel setup. It's awesome to know how well yours performs off-grid, and I'm definitely excited to make the most of mine too. Thanks again for the support, and happy travels! 🚐✨
Love love love love love it! Think when i get mine i deffo need a garage space but i also like the u shaped rear lounge set up for chillin. Its not gonna be easy. See you in a few days and ill bring my own soap for the shower 😂
Excellent van. I can understand why you are so pleased. I'd advise Moving intelligence for alarm and tracker. Always had an excellent service. only ever set off the alarm accidentally and every time I got a text within seconds and a phone call within a couple of minutes afterwards if I didn't respond to the text quickly enough.
Hi David. Sorry for being late in a reply. Thanks for the advice. I’ve gone for a scorpion S5 tracker with a ghost immobiliser from the tracker shop. Sounds like a similar thing. Hope you good thanks for your support thanks again 🤜🏻🤛🏻
We’ve just added a tracker to ours (don’t know anything about it though😅) Dave will show you next weekend 😅 x Brilliant vlog as per! Can’t wait to see the van in the flesh ❤
Gonna load ours up this morning after collecting our 68 yesterday, I’ve bought the tracker nano , thatcham s7 approved , which was on caravan guard insurance list , it was £114 pounds from Halfords , comes with a years subscription, and then yearly subscription is £42 , runs on a 2 year battery and also has geo fencing. All I got to do now is to try and remember how to use the gas etc , our first trip is to the peaks next Saturday. Have fun guys 👍 The new stereo that auto trail fits , is a pioneer big flat screen , 10 inch I think , plus our camera works through it and you can the camera all the time ,
Cheers for that bugger they wasn’t sure when we ordered the van so we didn’t have it 🤦🏼 For the tracker we’ve gone for a scorpion S5 tracker and ghost immobiliser from the tracker shop 🤜🏻🤛🏻
We use Outsmart the Thief, it’s a Yorkshire company and once fitted it’s £100 for the year. They text you as soon as the alarm goes off to ask if you are with the vehicle. As soon as you say No they start tracking and notify the police. We have set it off loads and had a text within seconds. Nice can by the way 👍🏻
So I’ve been told yes of the Facebook groups trying to find out for certain. So no need to under-seal it, they are great vans for the money well impressed so far. A lot of van for the money compared to others 🤙
Motorhome Matt just done a podcast (think they’re on UA-cam too) on trackers and the different types, worth checking out for guidelines on some of the main ones available and what to look for 🤙
Hi Suzy Sorry for the late reply. Yes I’m a big guy rugby player build 6ft 17.5 stone and I can shower easily in there it’s tight but perfect for a quick shower. We love it perfect for us this van 🚐 keep us posted on what you do 🤙. Maybe see you at one of our events 🤜🏻❤️🤛🏻
I have a scorpion tracker on my CV40 Ducato and it was a requirement from my insurer caravan guard. The app seems a bit slow to update but scorpion are quick to phone you if you forget to take the tracker fob with you which I did at least 3 times shortly after picking up the van😂. I paid for the lifetime subscription which was around £500. I have the 9 speed auto and it was very troublesome in the lower 3 gears when I bought it in March this year. My van was an ex show van which I believe may have been trailered to different shows. It had around 60 miles on the clock when it was registered to me. I’ve been told it has a learning Transmission Control Module which if it has had only learnt getting on and off trailers in its first 60 miles. The main problem was severe 3rd to 2nd down shifts which in the end tore the rubber out of the lower engine sway bar. The van was recovered to Fiat professional who claimed the van drove like a dream, yeah right. Anyway a new sway bay was fitted and I was told it has fixed the problem. Now this is where trackers are good. It was in the workshop for a day and a half to fit a part that’s held on by two accessible bolts. I think the TCM was updated because since I’ve picked the van up the gearbox is sublime and operates completely different to the way it behaved before. Finally I have an underslung gas tank. I’m lucky as I have a garage 7 miles away that I can fill up from. Failing that the next one is 25 miles away. Something to consider when thinking about underslung tanks.
It sounds like you've had quite the journey with your Ducato! I can definitely see how the Scorpion tracker would be invaluable, especially with the issues you’ve experienced early on. I’ve just ordered the Scorpion S5 Tracker with the Ghost Immobiliser from the Tracker Shop, and hearing your feedback about their quick response times gives me some peace of mind. It’s good to know they’re on top of things, even if the app is a bit slow. That’s interesting about the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and how the van's early miles might have impacted its learning. It must have been frustrating dealing with those rough downshifts, but it’s great to hear the gearbox is smooth now after the update. Your experience with the sway bar shows just how important trackers can be for keeping an eye on what’s really happening when your vehicle is in the shop. Also, thanks for the heads up about the underslung gas tank. It’s something I’ll have to weigh up, especially with the limited refueling options nearby. I’ll definitely keep that in mind! Thanks for your comment and support 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I’m really happy with the scorpion tracker and mine is also the S5. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s also recognised by most insurance companies I believe.
We can sort tracker and radio yuf, and you can have rear view and reverse. Might be better with a mirror monitor dash cam for front and rear, then you can use the mirror all the time for rear view, looking back, and then reverse for looking down. #hinthint 😂😂😂👍
Thanks for the suggestion! A mirror monitor dash cam for both front and rear sounds like a great idea, especially for constant rearview visibility and ease while reversing. We’ll definitely consider that setup. We will definitely be in touch to sort out the radio and cameras out. Thanks again! #appreciateit
We have just come across you on UA-cam & Instagram (now following) 🤗 Love your videos - great content which has now made our decision to upgrade from our VW Transporter to a van like yours !!
