- Well the early retirement is happening as we speak. Did we pick the right van for us and our price point after all that research? Is it going to be any good for our full-time van journey this winter to Southern Europe and Morocco?
This vlog tells you what we think of the van we bought. It's an @AutoTrail_ Expedition 68. We’ve done a full review so it’s a long vlog for us, but we wanted to cover it all.
thanks. Useful for handovers. Paul 🤓
Great video guys. Sorry to be pedantic but the colour is ‘Expedition’ grey…Artense is a darker metallic grey which I believe is an option on the 2025 model (white is now the standard no cost colour)😁
@@richardbarter9864 cheers didn’t realise we got the colour name wrong. Not sure we’d fancy a white one!
Honest, thorough review - quite a home from home.
@@pauljones2527 thanks there’s no point in us shmoosing as we aren’t getting paid :) more importantly is this Paul Jones the captain of Reidy’s old rugby team
We would always be honest - thank you 😊
Hi, it's molly. You are parked on our campsite as well!! 🤣 We are at orchard caravan park. I hope you have a good time here. We love it here so we have a seasonal! Its a really nice campsite. ☺️
@@centralsean it’s a brilliant campsite and we love Ian and Sharon. If you are at a loose end this evening come up to the Buck Hotel at half eight? Billy is singing so there will be a few from the campsite up there
Thanks for the idea 😃 😄 😁
From molly (Sean's daughter)
Thanks for the review Nikki and Billy, we're so pleased you love your van. Great video... and happy early retirement! 🙌🎉
@@AutoTrail_ cheers. Will hopefully be coming to review any changes at the NEC.
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly Not long to go now. We'll see you there! 👋
Don't bother with the car play and double din head unit (very expensive), we have a cheap stereo with bluetooth and we have mounted an iPad 10.9 inch(£200 refurb) over the stereo and use the bluetooth for sound. Use it for sat nav, digital radio and use around the van watching UA-cam or Netflix Amazon prime down loaded loads of movie when we can't get wifi signal .You Need the type of iPad that you can put a sim card in as they have built in Gps for the sat nav. Nice van, cheers John
Top tip. Cheers we’ll have a look at options
Hi , from Mike the crappy opera singer, your parked right next door to us in reeth ha ha 😂, looks like a lovely van I'm slightly jealous 🤷🤔😁👍
Ha ha hope your warming up for tomorrow night
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly no chance l promised her indoors l will behave myself 😁😂😂

Thanks for the great review - your van looks great! We've had our Peugeot Boxer 6.4m van conversion for just over three yrs now and love it. Just subscribed - looking forward to your continental road trip. Does your electric system charge the batteries when you are driving i.e. does it have a B2B charger?
@@jimb7406 thanks for your comment. We are starting to look forward to it too now. Billy has just handed his laptops in today so one down and one to go. No real plans so should be exciting just going where ever the wind blows. Our batteries charge when driving. So we should have no issues moving around
Hi, it's not dumping the water out. There are 4 floats in your water tank. When it hits the top float it will show 100% but as soon as you use a few drops it shows 75 even if it is 99% full. Go below 75 and it shows 50 and so on. Hope that helps.
@@cjwelectec cheers
Thank you - we are rubbish lol! confused us first few times 😊
@@NikkiMoreland-fe9kzglad it helped. We are going through the same process, early retirement, South for the winter, gas being the main concern with us too. Good luck to you both.
@cjwelectec where you heading and when?
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly Although I am originally from the UK we live in Finland so we will head through east Europe to begin with but the plan is mostly France and Spain this time. Setting off most likely in October
We love this van so much we also went and bought one. Thanks for a great review, wanted to ask about the mattress topper you use- you mentioned a Panda one. Any particular make or is it just the one they do? I’m struggling with the bed and have tried 2 other store bought toppers that don’t fit very well and are not that great. Is it worth the expense?
@@amandadearlove4686 hi. Thanks for your kind comment. If you search under Panda London mattress topper. It’s their own bamboo one. We got a double which is a pretty good fit. A lot of people use Duvalay which cost a little more. But don’t throw the one you bought out. Put it under your mattress, then the new one on top. Just adds a bit more. We’ve done that. Hope that helps. Let us know how you get on.
@@amandadearlove4686 and forgot to say much better than store bought one we had
why choose a colour internal only to cover the seats up lol
Colour was standard. We are just thinking of resell value when we are too old to travel and end up in a bargain loving Brits caravan in the sun. We are in and out covered in dirt from biking or walking.
Hi I am thinking go view one this weekend what amp battery’s have you 75 or 110 thanks .that worries me the fridge running the batttery down 👍
Hi it’s 75. We asked for the optional additional one. We have the fridge on for days off grid with that plus other bits like lights, pump etc and never even dipped anywhere near half way. I’d get the second battery. Might have been harder with one. Plus you have solar as standard and it charges when moving too. The fridge doesn’t appear to dent two batteries.
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly thanks for that 👍
Nikki’s laugh is ace 😂😂😂
We are in the dales riding again this weekend. What you up to?
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly me and the wife are in Masham for the weekend with friends.... drinking and eating and having a tour round the Black Sheep brewery.🍺
@EMTBnorthyorkshiredad nice
I’m 5.10 as well Billy and the width is only just wide enough and I tend to angle slightly to stretch out in our 67. Can’t you go length ways in the 68 then?
It’s longer than it is wide so be even shorter the other way
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly aye, I thought you had a longer one than me 😮
No radio ? And you had to pay extra for windscreen and side window blinds ?
Yep all extras
@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly get lay out thats what i have been looking for with a raised bed at the rear not many about
@@andrewthornhill4229 I’ve just put two bikes away in there. I’ve also got two guitars in there for tonight’s gig, chairs, table, starlink and other assorted crap. It’s a great space
