Massive thumbs up , what an improvement now it really looks like home and Mandy is a lucky lady with all that space in her cooking zone , clothes drying facilities and privacy when in bed that girl is spoilt . Brilliant tour and I love the comment the seat was too soft for Mevi when travelling, off topic but really chuffed he’s finally got his van back on the road. Good luck you two happy travels 👍👍
You and B-Roll Mandy have practically rebuilt the sodding van 😁, great work! I salute you both 🙋♂️. Now time to enjoy the fruits of your labour guys 😉👌👍👍👍.
Great Van Tour John all you hard work has paid off and good look with your full time van life just started van life myself and i learn so mush from your videos with my van build keep up the good work you do
Hi John, Mandy, Coop. The van's come a long way and now it's your new home. I like Coop's den, I'm sure i could fit in there somehow! But...you've left something out John, and it's a big one. You've plugged the coffee machine into 13A, but you haven't plumbed Mandy into the coffee machine !!!! That's your next project John, so get the finger out. Super job on improving the van, it's a good'un. PS...I like Mandy's back doors too. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe guys and keep up the good work. 👍🐕🖖😎
Cracking van ,you both deserve a round of applause ,hope your travels go well ,am just starting my own build ,if my van ends up half has good has your own van ,i will be well pleased .bravo.
Great video, I didn't view the Gadjet Bus at the weekend as i wanted to see it in all its glory and finished (its never ending :-) so can't wait for The Boondockers Bash... it looks Fantastic Well Done Guys!
Looking good. Once the house has sold sold you no doubt have plans to travel. I will be interested to see where you go for the winter. Full marks on the electrics. You know your stuff and it is integrated well. Yes fairy lights are very important. Not enough dog coverage. Dogs are important parts of Van Life blogging. They can also help keep/get fit with lots of long walks. Plenty of woodwork videos on UA-cam to help you reach expert level. I must check to see how you routed the reversing camera wiring assuming that's in a previous video. I appear to have power provided up at the stop light but not the video cable. I discovered that the Hymer badge on the van's grill was just fitted over the Fiat badge without affecting it so I now have a nice Fiat badge instead of the Hymer one. Still have a few badges but many less than when new.
I have a Fiat badge to fit in place of the autofail badge, just not got round to that yet. The reversing camera for the Garmin is wireless but the one for the rear view mirror came with the van. We do film some cooper bits, but it's just us not knowing how much to include of him and if people like that. We're still learning 👍🏻
Carpy Stevo unless you are not so tall, sprinters are narrower at bed height compared to fiat platform. This is why, I believe, the fiat platform is so common.
Yes john .. we luv mandys back door to .. or as we affectionately known her (the wild one ) ...super fabbo in every direction guys carryon pip pips ...happy trails ...😁
In the middle of my conversion so managed to get lots of ideas from you.... I particularly liked "Mandy's back doors". (You're a funny man 🤣) My van isn't as high (Ford Transit Custom LWB with high roof) but I will also have my bed in a similar position so I loved Mandy's ideas with the weighted fabric to cover things when "Mandy's back doors are open" (You started it!). Anyway great video, made me laugh and also got lots of ideas, so thanks for posting! 😁
Hi John/Mandy, All looking great and ready for the off. The last one out the house don't forget to turn the lights off. The very best of luck on your new venture, Don't think the van could be any better. ATB Glen. 👍
Hi Jon, I have a similar vehicle and have added a second sliding table connecting rail - low down on the panel behind the sliding door ( where you have your stickers). This enables you to use your table outside in fine weather. I also use mine to cook on - with a gas camping BBQ and hot plate. Great for fish etc and keeping food smells out of the van. You can get them on eBay for £20.
Great video really well put together 👍 you've done lots of hard work on the van and it's paid off it looks great with plenty of gadgets 😉 have a great weekend guys ❤️✌️
OMG! So many innuendos, I wash shouting "that's what she said" 😂🤣😂🤣😂 great van tour guys, I noticed you've wrapped/insulated the water tank/pipes under the van, did that help you last year...might do that to mine for this winter now I've seen it 👍🏻😁
We wrapped the pipes and tanks after we fitted the heater pads that keep the tanks from freezing up. Not had any issues but it wasn't that cold this winter. Innuendo bingo 😜
@@johnmandy Hi. Could I ask whether you've experienced any issues with durability of the insulation in such an exposed position, and how is it affected by road muck etc?
Nice van tour, totally honest about what was 'wrong' with your van, built by the 'big guys' , but they don't put the love into it like a self build or a revamp does ( lots of blood, sweat & tears) we have been watching you guys for a while for inspiration. Our first trip in our self build was to Camp Quirky 2019, had no idea you were all there!
Very interesting John thinking about doing something similar currently have a T6 that's sadly going in the new year for something slightly bigger. Hope to meet you guys on our travels - cheers
Loving the rear door treatment - did you do a video showing how to do them? Want to cover the standard plastic covers on mine and was thinking of using the 4 way stretch carpet - but your idea looks great but a "how to do" video would really help
It really is a great setup John, your improvements are great but I bet it carries on evolving as you go 👍. So has Mandy made you pay for all those comments yet 😂. As usual John and Mandy a great video well put together and your presentation skills are great easy watching. 😃
Nice van. Did you build it all yourself or buy it done then made changes. Have you considered a SOG unit for the toilet. It vent the loo directly and drawers air from the cassette. Reduces odours and no need for chemicals. So can empty cassette in normal sewer type place, like home loo etc. Interested in the wifi you have, I'll check your other video's to see if you have more detail. 👍
If you watch our videos you’ll soon see about the vans history. SOG is something I did look at until the constant mentions of the smell of your loo to others around you. If you use the right loo chemicals you can empty the cassette anywhere.
Gadget John on tour ha ha, sog those around. No one should be that close 😜. Like the vinyl. Gonna do similar I think. Looks easy enough. Nice van and videos, you don’t make them to boring like others. More to the point with stuff 👍
Thanks for this update both. Have you any thoughts about the back doors, gap between the doors when closed. During winter you can feel the draft. Just got an autosleeper campervan warwick XL, loving the freedom, but dont like the drafts lol. Thanks for advice.
Any more mods and I reckon you'll be close to having done enough to put a "Built not Bought" sticker on it. Maxxfan over the dining area would make a huge difference to ventilation plus some extra daylight up front.
Hi John and Mandy great video and great conversion my wife and I are looking to buy a lwb ducato would it be possible to have room for a toilet and shower.

Great video and nice to see the van finished. Maybe a stupid question, but why do yo need an extra toilet cassette? Love watching your vids, keep 'em coming.
We love wild camping, sometimes going places you don’t see a place to empty the loo for long periods, so the extra cassette gives us the chance to enjoy more wild camping.
Thanks for the tour, love your fabric handywork with the accessory pouches on the cupboards Mandy. I'm curious as I pick my new van up in a couple of weeks and it has the same tank. Thanks :-)
In the really cold winter trips we used the heating 50% each day and set to about 20oC and the hot water went on boost once a day, we then have the fridge set to around 5oC and also we use the gas for cooking on the hob and oven too. This year we have the new Instant Pot to try and cut down a little on the gas usage, though we need to see how that turns out once we get into winters dark days.
