Hey Sean, Keep those awesome videos coming! I really enjoy your UA-cam content. It’s great learning about retirement in different countries and getting a peek into life in Japan. Best of luck with your house hunt! Cheers!
Thanks for that. Yes, it continues to decline though a few places are having a resurgence. There’s one village where they have placed hand made mannequins around the village to give the appearance of a population. Sad.
I have also been watching real rural japan (Aussie running a cafe in a former akiya) and Benton Homestead (American couple in Japan through the business visa startup program, bought and renovated an akiya as a guesthouse then bought a second to live in as they build their business). I love the idea of a holiday house in Japan, lots of research ahead of me!
Thanks for that. The idea of a cafe also appeals to me. I’ll have a look. Yes, do your research. The next video will show you where to start and the problems you’ll encounter.
Looking good Sean - love the colour!
Bri
Thanks Bri. Trouble is I keep forgetting to use it so in the videos you’ll see my hair go from brown to grey to brown again

Thanks! Will do!
Wow...these are excellent Sean!! I lived in Japan for 3 years about 19 years ago so I imagine country side has probably been more impacted since then.

Hey Sean love your site very informative. Yor voice comes over very well. Ku Ro huh?
Thanks Mark. You should give the Kuroi a try. Takes years off. Not that I really care but interesting to see.

You dyed your hair while filming this video?
The video took a few days to put together so I dyed it in between.
