BrUh !!! try plugging it in. You are missing a cable or 3. I was hoping to get some answers to the many challenges I have been having with this and other Lenovo dock (Thinkpad UBC-C) with getting consistent USBC connection for power and or video. This was an enthusiastic unboxing nothing more.
I just got 2 Dell U2723qe 4K monitors with this dock. Each monitor is connected via the Display port 1 & 2 connection on the back of the dock. The dock is connected to a ThinkPad Carbon X1-GEN 7 which has Thunderbolt 3 USB-C using Thunderbolt 3 cable supplied with this dock. My issue is that I can only get full 4K resolution on one of the monitors. The other is stuck at a lower resolution and will not allow me 4K resolution. Should I try connecting the monitors via the front panel Thunderbolt 3-USB C Thunderbolt 3 port and then Daisy chain one monitor to the other (which these monitors are capable of) or should I just take the second monitor with the resolution issue and connect it via the front USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port. Thanks for your help.
It should. Check the exact SKU/model you are looking at or even connect Lenovo sales to ask when in doubt. I remember they have a firmware upgrade for this model which fixed some stability issues.
I received one from work where we work with ThinkPad. However, I just bought myself a new private MacBook Pro, and it doesn't seem to recognize, that I have 2 Monitors. It just mirrors the screen, and the Mac recognizes both monitors as one. Checked everything on the web and found nothing
I’m not sure with a Mac. Make sure that your docking has the latest firmware. I know I had a few that had issues that required the FW upgrade to stabilize.
Depends on multiple factors. This docking is now old, do lookup the thunderbolt 4 version. Also check how much power your laptop requires. 45, 65, 90W???
@@fitnesspoint2006 Lenovo Thinkpad. My IT at my company couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect to the monitor either so we all switched back to the old style docking stations. No more issues. So I still say those type docking stations your holding are complete pieces of shit!
Worked with our T480s laptops but ran into a user with a P52s laptop not being able to dual monitor setup. One of the display is flickering even with updated driver. Such a headache working with this dock.

Call Lenovo support and see if this is a limitation of your particular model/SKU or if it’s defective.
Hi Bob. Do you know if it works with Windows 11? Do you need to install any kind of software or driver? Thank you.

Great video Bob, thanks :)
Hi Bob, does this dock support 49" full resolution? 5240x1440?
I’ll try to test that if I get my hands on another one. They are rather hard to find in stock.
Will my laptop always get charged when connected to the docking station? Is there any way to stop laptop charging when connected to the dock?

Thank you Bob ,, is it compatible with Macbook Air ?
And can you do a test for this dock specially for data transfer rates ?
Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep any of the docking stations due to shortages, so I can't do any tests on them at this time.
This thing is garbage. It would not connect and work with my monitor. Stuck using the small laptop screen. Sent it back. Junk
We haven't had too much of an issue with the twenty or so I've seen so far.
dont know what kind of crap laptop you are using but i have 3 monitors running off this dock from a thinkpad from 4 years ago
