The Cat 3408-powered ST470 is a dream tractor of mine. I can only imagine what it's like listening to that big V8 Cat purr all day long.
How good is that? Two massive Tigers running together in a field. Truly, the Series 'III' Stiegers are what every other 4wd tract measures up to. As was mentioend in the comment below, they were and still are. Majestic!
We have a Tiger 3 with a 450 h.p. Engine and at overhaul time turned it into a 525 after cooled engine, also managed to find a spare engine from a truck and even has a Jacob’s Engine Brake but is only a 450 horsepower. It is big and can really get the work done
Very cool. Thank you for sharing.
Yes the steiger tiger . Are a beast , like the 325 panther . Good solid tractors , and those CAT and CUMMINS engines , are great .
I love it 😊😊😊😊😊😊
It's pretty 😊😊😊😊
I love seeing classic stiegers in the field plowing and discing the field
Steigers are great prairie monsters😃💪 the sunflower disk does a great job😉👍
I enjoy watching your videos on these monster tractors I’ve always been interested in the big monster tractors
There is no tractor out in the field as majestic as a Green Steiger.

I like watching these monster tractors hard at work
It was a fun day filming these. Thank you for watching.
That Steiger is a beast of a tractor ,
The limousine of the field seems to work as good as a lot of the new stuff .
I’m not a farmer just enjoy your videos and make observations of the farmers operation and equipment working from my sofa unfortunately!
Always wished I could have worked in this line of work I had a few summers as a young man on large farms bush hogging and repairing fences then became an electrician!
But it got in my blood and I wish it had became a reality !
Thanks so much
Enjoy all the videos
Keep um coming
God Bless Our Farmers they deserve so much better just like our veterans!
❤😊 I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE VIDEO 😊❤ I REMEMBER DRIVING ONE OF THOSE TRACTORS ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO WITH A SCRAPER BEHIND IT WITH A BIG RIPPER TOOTH ON THE SIDE TO BREAK UP FROZEN GROUND SO IT WOULD THAW OUT !! IT WAS BY BELLE PLAINE MN 😊❤
That's a very impressive sight, of two massive tractors and machines working together! Something you don't see here in the UK
Very true, I think they sold a lot of the big ford 4wd tractors here back in the 80’s but these days you tend not to see many big tractors it’s a shame
I'm blessed to now own a st 450. It was number 20 off the line in 1979. It has the 1150 Cummins set at 525 HP. New paint. American iron.
Can't beat it!
Thank you for capturing video of these amazing tractors!!!!
Steiger Tiger is amazing 🚜👍👌
It is one solid tractor.
I used to plow with a steiger cougar. Great tractors
Very cool. Great tractor.
Excellent video 👍
The steiger is a tractor I've always wanted, we run versatile 500, 900, and 1150 on our farm currently
I'm really enjoying these Steiger videos. Great tractors and you gotta love the lime green. Very cool Jason 👍🏻👍🏻.
Hello! Awesome implements and mighty oldies!
1970’s big power 👍👍
@@bigtractorpower 👌
Now those are some nice big beast, they can sure cover the ground at 50 foot each, awesome 👍👍
It was exciting to watch them clear out 100 feet per pass
I think this is one of your best videos ever. The filming and clearly, was outstanding and the weather was just right. And your voice as narrator has never been better. Oh and it helps to have an All Starr cast of real American tractors and disk. And those Operator's are so kind to The Real Green Machines. Hollywood couldn't have done any Better. Gods gotta to Love Farmers. To allow Machines like this to feed the Hurgery. Prise The LORD on High. Please Bless The 🇺🇸 USA
Gotta love a Steiger sound great and look awesome
Thank you
these guys a class-act...what a couple of beautiful Steiger Tigers...with matching Sunflower disks! I have so much respect for farmers who run older, nice tractors & equipment. I can't get over how Steiger doubled the weight with the 450. I also can't believe you could buy a monster disk like these featured for just a bit over 100k a little over 10 years ago...a year ago I heard from a neighbor who priced a new John Deere 30', so just a 3-section, for 130k!
A 50ft disk now is $176,000. As much as a the tractor was new.
@@bigtractorpower thanks for the info
@@EDBZ28 The guy who owns these two Tigers is local to me. He’s got a huge collection of classic 4WD tractors. He has two Big Bud 600’s, at least three Series III Tigers, he has one of the few Steigers the Dole Plantations in Hawaii used, along with various others. They’re quite the common sight in my part of Southern IL
@@justat1149 very interesting. Sounds like a very well-to-do operator. Thx for sharing. I’m from WNY and have been through IL 3x in my life and loved every time. First time just into the state and looked at combines in Milford at mowreys, 2nd time effingham to Higgs welding where my relation bought a truck and 3rd to progress show in ‘16…we also went to harvester works and toured moline that trip.
@justat1149 pretty sure Adam bought these Tigers new.
After all these years of working in the paddock they are still very desirable. There were quite a lot of Steiger’s here in Australia. I would happily farm with a rebuilt tiger 111.
Remember being at the Purdue tractor pulls when I was in college early 80's before they sold to CaseIH... They had a couple on display,,, was always a fan!!! What's funny is you can take a 3406/6NZ these days and make reliable 800hp, back then they were 400... Not many 3408's around...
Only 20 cat 3408s built. It was exciting to find one.
always loved the steigers would love to drive one some day pretty cool machines
You were really farming if you had one of these green tractors in your farm yard in the 70’s.
Really nice match up.
It’s a great tillage team.
Máquina potência parabéns pra vocês tudo de bom pra você que Deus te abençoe sempre você 👍
Very good
nice big HP Pre DEF units easy to work on and long lasting with regular maintenence
👍👍
Excellent video once again big T 👍👍👍
😊I love it cool 😊😊😊😊
Pretty good content.
Absolute beasts!!!
👍👍
this is the right Green
😁👍👍
Love the history!
Thank you for watching.
I just subscribed to your channel great videos on here
Thank you. I appreciate you subscribing and watching their bunch of videos on tractors to see.
Good video.
Monsters from the early 80s 👍👍
One of the best.
The best green lol.
Great vid and info. Only thing I'd add would be folding / unfolding. Favorite thing to do is move that inside lever to make 14ft into 32ft. That 5 section Sunflower is mechanically interesting. Gotta bring my kids to a plow days this year.
Great demo
Big power 👍👍
Hi BTP. thx 4 the great steiger video
Thank you for watching. This was a great great day in the field filming this pair.
killer shit - the work done is unreal. i just struggle to keep 3/8 mile dirt road in decent condition. J Hope, san diego mountains. Love all the beautiful machinery in action !
Great Video
Thank you Joe this was an extra extra fun day out in the field
NICE
Thank you for watching
From England Brilliant Footage they were Imported into the UK by Offchuch Tractors named after the Village by the Moreton Family who were large arable farmers wanting more power in the 1970`s one is still working at a neighbouring farm.
Hi jason. Very interesting history on these great machines! Could these be ordered with a 3 point hitch?
tank very good
Those are some big horses putting in the work!
They are such cool tractors.
Good work
Thank you for watching
Hey i know them guys! Pretty sure Adam bought those new. Hope you got to visit the farm and see the rest of their awesome collection! Nobody takes care of their equipment the way they do thats for certain!
As a john deere fan, I love Steiger tractors always felt if ya needed a 4wd tractor ya could buy a steiger and probably be cheaper than most brands that people have....
I have used a John Deere 9220 and John Deere 8770 with 4WD tractors to pull a 48' field cultivator and a chisel. I've also used those tractors to pull a Sunflower 1435 35' disk
Great tractors. The 8770 and 9220 are in my top 10 favorite John Deere 4wds list.
Hell yea lets go mn
Land of Steigers 👍👍
That’s one sure way to cover the acres👍🏻
PTA 325, retired for the moment, but not forever i hope
I owned a Stieger Cougar II.....was a great tractor!
When we first got these tractors a rep and a mechanic from cummins came to our farm and turned the injection pump up to make the kta put out 525 hp they said 450 hp was to low for the kta 1150
The KTA 1150 is an impressive engine. The Tiger IV made is to 525 factory. Woods and Copeland offered a 600 hp model with a KTA.
It's weird. Where I live I don't even need a lawn mower. But I still want a Steiger Tiger.
It’s one cool tractor.
Never give up on your dreams.
Wow
Thank you for watching
😍
Yer good
Steiger!!!
👍👍
Is that Tiger yours or were you just running it in this video? I've sorta lost count of which tractors you own now. Excellent video BTW!! $180K in 1980 is = $700K today.
He was just running it. He owns a 4786 IH, 8850 Deere, Turbo tiger 1 and 2 Steiger, and a Ford FW-30
Ya me alcanzo el tiempo para que con estos muebles sean mis dias de campo ya el santo y el dios de isrrael me los autorizaron amen y amen
So used to seeing videos with high-speed tillage, this looks slowed down.
I'd like to see a 9190. I heard only 2 were built
few more than that but they are rare.
I have heard that there were 18 built, and a majority of them went to Australia. There are definitely more than two. I have seen a picture of one in Australia and I know a farmer who owns two of them here in the United States. Hopefully next year, I will be able to film them out in the field. I do have a 9190 in a UA-cam short at ua-cam.com/users/shortsu4Fii2RFfyc?si=TLGKYuWxLhIwCQ_Y
Oi 👍👍👍👍👍
Massive beasts with the proper colour of green 😂😂
The best Green there is
👏👏👍👍💪💪🚜🚜👌👌🇧🇷
We run all International/Steiger from the IH 4366 4586 4786 9130 9170 9270 9380 stx440 STX500 stx450 qaudtrac Steiger 435 awesome built tractor those Steigers
Wow now that’s my kind of farm. I own a 4786. The Turbo Tiger I and Turbo Tiger II in this video are mine as well. Where do you farm?
plus no overly designed electronically controlled gimmicktry
Not a one. 👍
Hi
Hi. Thank you for watching.
Cool southern il. I'm in waterloo where was this?
Royalton/Mulkeytown Rt 184
Jason find us a 9190.........Only 2 bad things . The a/c on some, depends on who tried to fix em.. And the damn brakes. If only they used clark axles with air brakes . Cuz's tiger got not nam brakes .and when it does forget stoppin 50000lbs tractor plus plow with a single disk brake
I know where there’s 2 legitimate 9190s in the U.S. but they aren’t changing hands any time soon
Brilliant 😂 if rig snig look at stieger they pull like a tiger
