You would not believe the boat ramp at Mohave lake in bullhead city Arizona, in the summer on the weekends.. it would blow your mind… two hour wait to get off the lake , people cutting in front of people, fights breaking out you name it
Why was the boat still tied down to the trailer? I feel like if the boat was able to float off the trailer the momentum of the boat wouldnt have pulled the truck in.
Is there a tow truck permanently parked at the Marina? Just install a bank of credit card operated winches across the parking lot and rake in the cash!
I have thought of that idea many times but for the purpose of pulling the truck and boat up the ramp when the tires are spinning, they could restripe the parking lot and put the winches inbetween the parked cars. Or have, or rent out wheel chalks at the dock to prevent the bloop, bloop, bloop.

When I used to go fishing at the Hull near Nantasket Beach in Massachusetts, there always were one or two tow trucks waiting around low tide because the ramp was slippery and people could not get traction to pull their boat out of the water. I always carried two small rug pieces to place under my rear tires if I got stuck. The tow guys charged $20.00. This was back in the early 1980's.
Uh, I think that’s just basic situational awareness that everyone should have. It shows he was actually being very impatient to begin with and it giving the guy proper room it than good he did have skills and that woke him up to being on his ass too much to begin with, there’s actually no reason he should have been so reactionary and reactive to jam in reverse, because he shouldn’t have had to jam it back so much in distance and so fast! I know things happen fast but I can't help but think the guy in the boat could have gotten the motor started and push to keep the truck close to the ramp.
It looked like there might have been a split second where that could have possibly helped, but in all fairness, that isn't something that a person is ready to react to. 🤷♂️

Boat ramps can be slippery as snot on a glass door knob! Looks like he forgot to throw in park, started stepping out and hit a slick spot on the ramp and just fell outward out of the truck. Bummer! We fish up north sometimes when we have to break ice at the boat ramps, easy to slide the truck in! We take bags of sidewalk salt and salt down the ramps first to make we and our trucks don't just slide down the ramps. Musky fisherman are insane....my wife will attest to that!
That driver is so lucky to be alive. I thought his door broke his neck or something. The way I see it is it's just a pick-up and can be replaced a human life can't. I know it hurts just very glad he walked away...

Dude, I have been hanging around boat ramps in the Netherlands for 5 years every summer for weeks on end (while traveling in my rv). Never ever have I seen the driver out of the car while backing in...never... In fact, I hardly see anything go wrong beyond somebody forgetting the bath stopper or a broken haul out attachment... but hey, it is Netherlands, the land of the boat experts obviously...

Sad thing about Alligators and crocodiles is, When idiots feed them they get used to people and that's when they have to be distroyed or hopefully relocated. Drivers mistake,the truck was in neutral when the driver stepped out,and then you can notice the trailer break lights go on when the driver was trying to hit the breaks from almost outside the truck,it was to late,you can see the driver getting hit by the truck...no other vehicle went under that day ,it was the drivers mistake,not because the ramp was wet,or the truck wheels,alfred does not know what's his talking abot.

Drivers mistake,the truck was in neutral when the driver stepped out,and then you can notice the trailer break lights go on when the driver was trying to hit the breaks from almost outside the truck,it was to late,you can see the driver getting hit by the truck...no other vehicle went under that day ,it was the drivers mistake,not because the ramp was wet,or the truck wheels,alfred does not know what's his talking abot.
