@@johnman559 I’m sorry that you’re so bothered by my presence on Chris’ channel. He clearly states that on his show he brings on advanced and new growers to share their experiences. While I have been growing indoors for 2.5 years consistently, outdoor this will be my second season. I’m absorbing and learning as much as I can while balancing many many other things . Not everyone gets to grow outside and that’s why Chris asked me to come on his show. I didn’t just hop on his show, I’ve worked hard at building my own social media, learning and entertaining.
The level of bothered that you have shown through your comments is alarming. But it also points out how unhappy, unpleased, and triggered you are with yourself. I hope that you find the healing you need and maybe you should get outside, it’s really great for grounding and connecting with your truest self. Best of luck on becoming less of a shitty person 🖤

This is perfect timing for me, cause I'm bidding on 18 acres in Oklahoma (trying to escape California).
I only grow outdoors, for now.
But this showed me what I can look forward to if I get my property.
As for aphids, I grow tomatoes for them, and then the ladybugs swarm after them.
For caterpillars, I pick them off and invite predators to eat them.

An IPM solution I haven't seen brought up for outdoors is Native Flowers. Not only will pests prefer these for food, as they have evolved along side them. It will draw in predatory insects that feed on those pests. Last couple years I have been building the ecology up in my backyard and I have started to see Green Lacewing, Preying Mantis, Assassin bugs, Ladybugs and so many other varieties of insect that I didn't even know lived in my area. For every pest out there, there is something that wants to eat it.

For any fungis nats and soil creatures I use Misquote Bits mixed into a worm tea once a month. For the caterpillars/Any steam and leaf eaters I use Captian Jack's Dead Bug: Flower & Vegetable Garden Dust at the 1st sing of bugs. You can use it once every few weeks and never have an issue but I've found it to be wasteful as it only take a few days to kill the unwanteds off once you see them. The bust is amazing. Last thing I use is DE (diatomaceous earth). It's cheap and I put that stuff everywhere, all the time... except after watering or rain.
Best thing I've found to do with DE is to coat the outsides of my grow tent with the stuff. When you do this, the powder goes all over the floor, leave it there and add more dust to the floor. PUT IT EVERYWHERE GUYS, I mean it!!! DE is amazing!!! It's inexpensive and it works! It takes a few days, maybe a week if you have bugs bad but don't freak out! They won't be able to hatch eggs in the soil because the microbes from the Bits feed on the eggs. They can't feed on the plant because of the CJ Poweder will kill them if consumed by them on the plant material so they are hungry and thirsty. Now they get into the DE you've put everywhere and it cuts them up. All they can do is dehydrator within a few days. Please stop buying these expensive products that are so "watered down" that they are useless. Grandma's garden grew without them and so can ours, I promise! Sorry for the novel, thanks for reading. Much love.

The way I see it a 'wound' in a plant is insignicant unless your plant is already unhealthy. Inside add rock dust to your soil for silica which aides in strengthening cell walls leading to a stronger plant. Outside in native soil there should already be a source if silica.

This could help people to understand how to grow small plants but optimized for a very good OZ. I am interested in your small is better technique, especially if you have heat and humidity issues. I'm from Southern Michigan. I have a 3x3 tent, spider farmer SF-4000, followed Migro to measure ppfd. usually a 1 plant grow and smaller clones following VPD. Not fungus knats, root aphids, slugs, or caterpillars anymore. I also add sns209 or 208, it's rosemary oils that the plant take up so when pests take a bite they stop. Also, terpify has similar essential oils that increase terpenes and oils while protecting your plant.

There are, but those genes are usually climate and latitude specific. Incorporating both the plant gene and it's natural habitat, to what attacks it in that habitat.
Some plants produce pheromones to repel pests, but those pests are usually only specific to the region it was grown... and it's usually a decades long process. For your area, you'll have to find breeders who've bred traits to fight (or withstand) pests that are natural to your area.
