    So cool! I stress my plants out constantly. I've learned I have to to keep them small because I'm disabled. They're much easier to tend to. Maybe they don't get as big but so what.

      All about the quality imo. Yield is nice, you need enough to make it worth the wait but quality has always been my main focus. If you focus on the quality yield will usually follow.

    Plants and humans aren't so different in the how react to stress. Just the right amount stress in the right situations and we become stronger 💪 and more resilient. Too much stress and the opposite occurs with sometimes fatal results... Thank you Chris and Nick for another fantastic episode!!!

    If your in soil and you build your own amendments etc then I've found what works really well is prep your containers and give them a couple weeks to three for the biology to stabilise .then plant into them.

    The guest said something that threw me off. He talked about the terpines and flavor profiles that you can achieve organically being unbelievable yet he says he goes another way because his clients want higher yields and quality, but I thought flavor profile and unbelievable. terpines were what we meant by quality.

    imo wind stress causes more evaporation which accelerates photosynthesis. simply more surface area with humidity in the air. Since evaporation is key for photosynthesis to occur, if the air is stale, it will transport evaporation slower and less effectively.

    If a new grower can plant cannabis outdoors the cost can be zero ...just time and local inputs can make meds of higher quality than dispensaries have ..just start growing with soil and local no cost amendments under the sun...lack of money should not stop people from growing if they want to...

  • @gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340

    The last 4 days let them dry out. They think they're dying and the trichomes fatten up. The 2 biggest tips I can give after 10 years...do not over water, do not go crazy with the nitrogen. 99 percent of new growers grossly over apply nitrogen, which is locking out lots of other nutrients, while you think you have a deficiency, its actually a over application of one or more macro nutrients that's creating a lock out.
    And if you're a new grower and u start out with ppm numbers as high as his, you'll fry your plants. Go about half his strength on EC or you'll regret it. Your leaves will turn dark green and start clawing and the plant will become stunted.

    • @johnnyb4869

      A trichome takes around 4 weeks to develop I don’t think 🤔 your getting new trichomes in 4 days sounds like bro-science to me

    • @mopar426power
      @mopar426power 2 роки тому

      Not true man, it's scientifically proven that trichomes take a lot longer than 4 days to develop. This community really needs to stop spreading these false bro science theories. Doing way more harm than good and misleading new growers. Same with the 48 hrs of darkness BS and many other ridiculous bro science theories out there. Also, keeping your plants relatively watered up until harvest allows the plant to have a higher moisture content which will aid in a slower dry which results in better quality.

    • @mopar426power
      @mopar426power 2 роки тому

    • @gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340
      @gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340 2 роки тому

      @@johnnyb4869 it fattens the trichomes up. That's all. This is a grow tip from a couple of growers in northern California that produce monster cannabis plants outdoors. Seasoned vets...it works. Also here's another trichome tip...harvest around 2 hours before the sun comes up, plants are more defensive at night and the trichomes under full sun will shrink. So if you want the full size of the trichome harvest around 4-5 am and you will have a fatter trichome. I also have a degree in biology and cross reference everything. Nothing I spout off is "bro science" I myself have 10 years of experience.

  • @bigzlowered

    Your microbes will continue to survive even with very low moisture levels in your medium. Your plants will long have died before the microbial life dies off in the medium. Drybacks are still very useful when growing with organics, but hydrophobic soil quickly becomes an issue. Finding a way to rehydrate your soil to near 100% moisture content after any dry back event is very important.

    • @gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340

    • @bigzlowered
      @bigzlowered 2 роки тому +3

      @@gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340 I would never recommend watering from the bottom, your roots will end up concentrating in circles at the bottom of the pot instead of filling your medium evenly and watering from both the top and bottom is a great way to over water your plants. Never do this.
      After a dry back event, just reintroduce the moisture to the soil slowly, in small amounts over the day until you achieve complete saturation. You can use quillaja but its extremely expensive in comparison to Yucca Extract, they both do the same thing. Neither are required though, just watering in slowly, over a couple hours, from the top is for best way to rehydrate your soil after a dry back event.
