Americans spend thousands of dollars each year to see sites outside of the US when there is such beauty to be seen here at home. The awesomeness of those cliffs and boil-holes into the cliff sides is breathtaking. I'm looking at upper MI, close to the lakes for a spot of my own. They are predicting that MI will be one of the states to remain untouched by global warming. There is also lots of treed lots still available at reasonable prices! If I move from New England to MI, I'm definitely packing my kayak!
Michigan has some very pretty places for sure . If you really want beautiful wilderness all around you it doesn’t hold a candle to a lot of the northern side of Lake Superior though
Superior has such gorgeouse rocky shore line's, Bay's, caves and variouse Islands to explore yet the water is so cold one cant swim . The Mackinaw Bridge scares the crape out of me it is so massive , Thank you for a wee tour around a section of Grand Island looked amazing. Ontario
It sure does !! it really is a good idea to have a dry suit, the proper gear and skills . like you said the water is really cold. there seems to be a lot of people that don't like crossing the bridge . I love it . no problem I'm just happy you liked it !
Very nice! Spent the second week of July in a tent at Lower Hurricane while my bride volunteered at the light station. The opening looks very much like the Lake Superior overlook and the Hurricane River. Glad I found your channel.
This world has so many beautiful and amazing places that are just hidden far away from plain sight. Many thanks for taking us along on your adventure. David in the UK.
Thanks ! It was so much fun the sad part was I was wearing the GoPro on my helmet and a lot of the time when I thought it was on it was off and viseversa missed a lot of really pretty stuff
Awesome video! I so wanted to check that out when we were up about 5 years ago. It ended up being a 2 day trip to the Soo and bear park and my mother in law got ill and had to head back home!
It's really pretty paddling out there . you definitely should have a sea kayak , good weather and some self rescue skills. I hope to someday get some land in that area and build a cabin too .
Beautiful video Ryan! I've been on the Picture Rocks boat tour and the sensory is truly amazing. It looks like it would a blast taking a kayak there. There is also lots of water falls in the area to see. Todd from da U.P.
Thanks Todd , I did the boat tour once you see a lot more from the boat but sea kayaking is a lot more peaceful , and fun when the waves pick up if you have the skills
Lake superior can't be beat , i moved to the u.p. during the pandemic, i don't ever want to live below the bridge again , i would kill to go kayaking, i like the little nets on the front of them , its looks kinda like a water snow shoe 😅💯🍻✌️
sure can't ! what part of the UP did you move to . I keep looking for property up there but the real estate market is destroyed by air b n bs and crazy people who panic bought extremely overpriced stuff. you must be talking about the deck rigging I guess it doe look a bit like a snow shoe
@@blackspruce1861 I bought a few acres 15 years ago , and when the pandemic hit I decided to put up a bug out cabin , while I was up here my house was robbed and destroyed in wayne county and the insurance company refused payment, and my family was forced to go off grid, I have been driving back and forth to flint and Ann arbor for work since , I just recently was hired on a electrical team in sault ste marie, it sucks to work for someone after yourself, I gave in , not to leave the up, I am a licensed electrician, side note a clown 🙌💯🍻✌️
Beautiful view from the lake level. How far back do some of those caverns go? Next time maybe you could do some cliff diving.😄Thanks for the video, I haven't had a chance to get to the UP in quite a while, so I appreciate the video trip.
personally I have whitewater kayaks the one in this video was a demo that The Power Of Water let me use. It's a P and H virgo HV sea kayak. awesome boat !!! .
@@blackspruce1861 No Not the province of New-Brunswick, but the beaches are similar, I'm in the province of Quebec, 1 hour away from Campbellton, New-Brunswick

God i love being a Michigan man. Even tho im a troll
there's definitely some pluses to it , I wish there were some real mountains but I can't complain too much
The very beginning of the video looks like here at home on the Gaspe Coast.
