I fully agree!! This is the most unique RC to have come out in many years. Honestly Primal as a brand only does unique stuff, their other gas model is a dragster. Seems they are able to find a niche market segment and fill it, basically the best strategy for growth and success.

I got some good video of that nitro serpent, It's got a center clutch, you ever seen one of those? It''s a really unique clutch that doesn't use typical clutch shoes that expand outwards, It presses against the clutch bell outward, so it basically created a 100% surface area engagement.

For the money, venom does a good job overall on many of their products, you're 100% right. I even have a VENOM fireball brushed motor, and it's super quick for the price and spec.

I know right!! The current news with Primal is they are releasing an upgraded version of this pipe. Also the newest generation of these trucks to ship will have a nicer pipe installed, overall basically the same though. Even the expensive losi 5T does not come with any pipe, just a can muffler like from back in 2008, lol.

whats up JOHN SMITH, I gotta make sure to remember this is you. Like I said in this video, its a struggle to find anything plastic that looks like it needs to be upgraded. I know PRIMAL themselves are making really unique upgrades for this from their end. You can already get a 4 wheel steering kit, dual shocks and other things. I cant even think of what else to upgrade on this, that's how dope this is. Maybe if someone makes an electric conversion that will be a big hit, but not for me!!!. LOL.

hey my dude!! Yes, this runs a 2 stroke motor that required regular pump fuel and 2-stroke oil to be mixed at a ratio of 25:1 to start with. Then you could go to as high as 50:1 with an engine like this. All 1/5 scale gas RC's have 2-stroke engines that require fuel gets mixed with oil.

Great vid Hybrid! That battery is awesome but the charger just kept on charging my NImh battery to 8.6 volts🤣. I unplugged it after two hours because it never turned green and I was afraid to burn out the battery so I unplugged it. Gonna use my onyx charger after I cut n solder the correct connectors to it!
DUDE, I think you're right!! I was just charging it with that charger and it's good other than that I noticed it also went to over 8.6 volts and didn't turn off. Im going to read the instruction on it and check back here. I will test the battery charge level with my old duratrax intellipeak twin charger. But honestly IDK the 5000 man venom pack was not hot, that means it wasn't fully charged. We gotta investigate this.
hybrid32494 yes we do brother. My battery was not hot either but It shouldn’t get hot but I do think nimh batteries get warm when they are fully charged. I know it is only charging at 3 amps and with 5000 mah you can charge safely at 5 amps which that charger will not do. So that could be the reason for it taking sooooooooo long to charge. I do know them servos in that PMT are extremely strong!
I was charging at 2 amps for like 2 hours. We may need like 3-4 hours. I will try this out again later. Gotta test the actually voltage of the pack with a voltmeter to confirm if the charger is reading too high. I was looking at the wiring setup and electronics, and its insane. Never seen such a complicated setup for a RTR truck. BTW, I did pull-ups with the truck itself today, without the wheels and without the axles.
hybrid32494 haha Good stuff bro! Gotta get them pull ups in. And I tested my battery and it was reading what the charger was saying. But yeah man this sucker has some wiring dont it🤣🤣. I installed two rf filters going into the receiver to ween out any interference. The servos n electronics are so quiet I dont hear any buzzing at all! And them servos are fast with a fully charged battery!! Im real happy you got one bro! I know your gonna take good care of yours! I am too. I just finished the stickers what a pain in the arse! Hahaha but I got them good as I could and then I Honda spray polished it. Gonna build stands at work tomorrow and do a vid in the evening!! See you tomorrow on the tube brother! I cant stop smiling and looking at this thing!

hey man!! yes, you definetly have to use shrink-wrap on al solder joints, you're right. I sometimes use rubber paint on insulation too on hard to shringwrap areas or just damaged wires.

This truck retails for 2,900 at primalrc.com It comes with a 49CC reed value engine, basically a pocket bike motor. In my opinion it's perfectly adequate and runs fine.
Still prefer the 2 stick box for the remote control....I dont get why everything today is the gun controller.....could u have gotten the box controller instead of the gun?.....
hey buddy!! If you wanted to use the 2 stick controller with enough channels you definetly could. It's really just a matter of how all modern Rc's are sold with the pistol radio. Most vintage boats use the 2 stick radio too.

hey my dude! This model was not sold as "Waterproof" But you could easily waterproof the radio box with a basic rubber seal and it would be waterproof. The servos themselves could also be waterproofed, but chances are all new servos already are. The radio box in this is just an aluminum case, even if you run some hot glue over it, you would be making it waterproof.

so speed this up and give u an answer ASAP I just checked by putting on the PRIMAL MT tire right onto the Baja's rear hub. It fits!! Looks nuts, I'll put it in the next video. So even with the stock hubs and axles the wheels do fit but they rub only a little against the rear plastic pieces. If you use basic wheel extenders it will be perfect. Funny looking though, ahaha.

It's significantly bigger than the common 1/5 scale gas RC, but when compared to a real monster truck it's actually 1/5 for sure. I've measured and done the conversions.

From what I heard this body was tough to get licensed in the first place, otherwise we would have a fake molded piece close to some futuristic looking traxxas or HPI design. For the money, venom does a good job overall on many of their products, you're 100% right. I even have a VENOM fireball brushed motor, and it's super quick for the price and spec.

I know right!! The current news with Primal is they are releasing an upgraded version of this pipe. Also the newest generation of these trucks to ship will have a nicer pipe installed, overall basically the same though. Even the expensive losi 5T does not come with any pipe, just a can muffler like from back in 2008, lol.

whats up JOHN SMITH, I gotta make sure to remember this is you. Like I said in this video, its a struggle to find anything plastic that looks like it needs to be upgraded. I know PRIMAL themselves are making really unique upgrades for this from their end. You can already get a 4 wheel steering kit, dual shocks and other things. I cant even think of what else to upgrade on this, that's how dope this is. Maybe if someone makes an electric conversion that will be a big hit, but not for me!!!. LOL.

hey my dude!! Yes, this runs a 2 stroke motor that required regular pump fuel and 2-stroke oil to be mixed at a ratio of 25:1 to start with. Then you could go to as high as 50:1 with an engine like this. All 1/5 scale gas RC's have 2-stroke engines that require fuel gets mixed with oil.

Great vid Hybrid! That battery is awesome but the charger just kept on charging my NImh battery to 8.6 volts🤣. I unplugged it after two hours because it never turned green and I was afraid to burn out the battery so I unplugged it. Gonna use my onyx charger after I cut n solder the correct connectors to it!
DUDE, I think you're right!! I was just charging it with that charger and it's good other than that I noticed it also went to over 8.6 volts and didn't turn off. Im going to read the instruction on it and check back here. I will test the battery charge level with my old duratrax intellipeak twin charger. But honestly IDK the 5000 man venom pack was not hot, that means it wasn't fully charged. We gotta investigate this.
hybrid32494 yes we do brother. My battery was not hot either but It shouldn’t get hot but I do think nimh batteries get warm when they are fully charged. I know it is only charging at 3 amps and with 5000 mah you can charge safely at 5 amps which that charger will not do. So that could be the reason for it taking sooooooooo long to charge. I do know them servos in that PMT are extremely strong!
I was charging at 2 amps for like 2 hours. We may need like 3-4 hours. I will try this out again later. Gotta test the actually voltage of the pack with a voltmeter to confirm if the charger is reading too high. I was looking at the wiring setup and electronics, and its insane. Never seen such a complicated setup for a RTR truck. BTW, I did pull-ups with the truck itself today, without the wheels and without the axles.
hybrid32494 haha Good stuff bro! Gotta get them pull ups in. And I tested my battery and it was reading what the charger was saying. But yeah man this sucker has some wiring dont it🤣🤣. I installed two rf filters going into the receiver to ween out any interference. The servos n electronics are so quiet I dont hear any buzzing at all! And them servos are fast with a fully charged battery!! Im real happy you got one bro! I know your gonna take good care of yours! I am too. I just finished the stickers what a pain in the arse! Hahaha but I got them good as I could and then I Honda spray polished it. Gonna build stands at work tomorrow and do a vid in the evening!! See you tomorrow on the tube brother! I have that Flysky GT5 n it also has a JST plug so u can use a lipo instead of the 4 AA batteries

hey man!! yes, you definetly have to use shrink-wrap on al solder joints, you're right. I sometimes use rubber paint on insulation too on hard to shringwrap areas or just damaged wires.

There are various online fake listings, but be warned that only the home site sells there, there are no others legit websites for these things. Its a great truck, check out my playlist on this thing, it will blow you away. I even drove it over myself and towed a whole tree.

This is still a bargain considering people spend this much in upgrades alone for a LOSI 5T and still end up with a long buggy chassis, LOL. Totally diff, I get that. This truck retails for 2,900 at primalrc.com It comes with a 49CC reed value engine, basically a pocket bike motor. In my opinion it's perfectly adequate and runs fine.
Still prefer the 2 stick box for the remote control....I dont get why everything today is the gun controller.....could u have gotten the box controller instead of the gun?.....
hey buddy!! If you wanted to use the 2 stick controller with enough channels you definetly could. It's really just a matter of how all modern Rc's are sold with the pistol radio. Most vintage boats use the 2 stick radio too.

Waterproof????
hey my dude! This model was not sold as "Waterproof" But you could easily waterproof the radio box with a basic rubber seal and it would be waterproof. The servos themselves could also be waterproofed, but chances are all new servos already are. The radio box in this is just an aluminum case, even if you run some hot glue over it, you would be making it waterproof.

so speed this up and give u an answer ASAP I just checked by putting on the PRIMAL MT tire right onto the Baja's rear hub. It fits!! Looks nuts, I'll put it in the next video. So even with the stock hubs and axles the wheels do fit but they rub only a little against the rear plastic pieces. If you use basic wheel extenders it will be perfect. Funny looking though, ahaha.

It's significantly bigger than the common 1/5 scale gas RC, but when compared to a real monster truck it's actually 1/5 for sure. I've measured and done the conversions.

hey man, Yes, there will be other bodies for this. From what I heard this body was tough to get licensed in the first place, otherwise we would have a fake molded piece close to some futuristic looking traxxas or HPI design.
