- This is the third video in my series on this PRIMAL RC MT RAMINATOR gas monster truck. I am unboxing the second box and checking out the most insane solid metal axles you can find on any RTR truck today. We also go over the instructions and check out alot of the interesting facts that only this truck has. This is what I would call the anti big box store RC, it's a full bucket list checked off kind of an RC and I am proud to be able to own one. Lets all go on the detailed and fun journey of my PRIMAL MT purchase, unboxing, build, and drive.
Holy crap the baja!! Bro your channel is taking off fast rightfully so. Keep it up and the jokes too it's very refreshing making RC videos even more fun! Your channel is gonna be the RC equivalent of this primal truck! HUGE!!! P.S. I liked ofcourse and I even let the commercials play through cause I'm trying to get you paid you deserve the support!!
thanks so much for your support!! As you can see I don't ask for annoying patreon support or donations, I do stuff and buy stuff that I would have even if it was not for youtube vids, you know. Other than RC and working out I'm not really an extrovert at all, and just enjoy the RC tech and history aspects of the models. And ye, sometimes I say funny stuff too, although I've yet to meet a girl who can appreciate the humor, considering I have an 8% female audience LOL.
I’m actually blown away by primal and how they mapped out all the instructions aswell seriously good job
hey man, whats up!! I see you've watched a couple of my primal MT vids so far. Check out the ones where I drive over myself, dude, I love this truck, totally worth the money. Plus I pulled a full size spare tires with it, and people have pulled cars with it too.
For 3 grand they better be able to include good instructions. This isn't a $350 reverse engineered China heap.
Keep these videos coming brother ! You have a great attitude ! Makes me feel like a kid again getting into RC. You should be excited about this damn truck, it's insane ! Mine is pre-ordered, August seems like forever to wait😫
I need someone to wipe my eye from the tears from laughing. that Baja with the Mt wheels was crazy
Foundry RC 🤣
Primal MT baby !!
I'm Very Happy for You!
Have Fun & Thanks for Bringing Us Along!!!
thanks my dude!! Truly appreciate it, I love sharing the interesting and unique facts and features of this model and every other rc I've got.
I'm still picking things up and putting them down lol
Make sure you buy shirts 2 sizes too small so as to not deprive the plebs surrounding you of the gun show at all times.
EXCELLENT videos bro. I hear the accent. I’m originally from Long Island, NY. Down in Sarasota, FL now. STAY UP and STAY HEALTHY.🔥💯🔥✌️😁🔥
hey bro! I see you're watch this entire playlist, that's good. I made sure to document and video each part from start to end, because this is truly a one of a kind RC. Anyway, I live in Staten Island, grew up in queens though. But originally from the USSR, that's the accent you hear most likely. stay safe out in FL now, I'm on my way to get some videos of our local Virus testing site.
Yes bro. STAY UP and STAY HEALTHY my man. I’ll be tuning in for sure.🔥💯🔥
That is so cool great part 2 those tires are insane and the axle is just massive 🤘🏻😀👍🏻✌🏻
thans for watching my dude!! This for sure is a sight to be seen, it's huge even compared to any other 1/5 RC on the market. I am currently assembling it, will be loading that video soon. thanks!!
@@hybrid32494 I'm looking forward to that I have a 1/5 scale Clawback and this monster your building is much larger
Your so right dude primal is so much the opposite of all the big names! Nothing cookie cutter or copying others about this truck! Totally set a new bar! Lolol also bro those drive shafts are interchangeable with your Prius!👍💪😋
haha, I actually made a joke while recording this that this is the size of my prius driveshafts, but wound up editing that joke out. I don't think many of my viewers understand the satire of my lifting weight, driving giants gas trucks, eating steak and fish and then driving a prius!! LOL.
@@hybrid32494 lol I get it for sure in the same way mostly I have a big Cadillac but drive my little 4 cylinder Subaru around 99 percent of the time for gas milage 👍
@@theirishaxe9405 now imagine your Subaru got over 55 MPG at all times even with the AC on, and was comfy, and had nav and every feature you could want (it would be a prius, haha). I got my prius in 2009, and literally not one issue or time in the shop, not even brakes have been replaced.
@@theirishaxe9405 I love Cadillacs too!! Would not mind a nice late model deville. My other car is a 2004 Lincoln LS V8 btw.
@@hybrid32494 nice 👍
Beautiful machining and parts.
Another amazing video man your videos always bring a smile to my face buddy 👍
thanks my friend!! your support is truly appreciated, Im working on the assembly video right now.
Good luck bro nice experiment baja with huge tyres u got 45 k views in your first video for this huge truck going gr8 can't wait to see this thing in more action
Well primal did good. That’s a crazy awesome truck. It’s great if you can change the gears for more speed as well. If I had the money I’d probably get one.
Dude !!!! Your a legend man .
What a nice very informative video my brap brother! Very good I need to slow down a little and start explaining things a little more. Im just too excited right now! I cant stop looking at my Primal MT man! I stayed up late and put it all together in two nights🤣🤣! My MTXL chassis is coming soon! I cant wait! ⛽️⛽️⛽️🤝BRAP BRAP!!!! Looking forward to the pull ups with the axels! What ever it takes brother!🤣💪🏼💪🏼
What's up brother
Norm what’s happening bro! Funny Idea you had on putting the MT tires n wheels in the baja bro! It looked like a tractor puller🤣🤣!
@@jefflohr5533 it deff did should start a tractor pull with em
Norm haha as cheap as you can get one from Rovan RC it could be very possible. I think the baja transmission if done in a heavy duty style could handle it!
@@jefflohr5533 NORM has great RC suggestions. We need him to give us all more stuff to try out. I would never have thought of putting the primal wheels on a baja myself.
wipe my eyes wipe my eyes love it lol . the wheel party was sick Bam!
Currently its an aluminum party in my basement, while I am assembling it, LOL.
awesome video dude. putting the wheels on the vaja really shows how big this car is. and its massive. awesome dude
Those tires on the baja look epic 💥
The quality looks insane......👍🏾
Finally part 3 is here! Great vid as always man.
thanks my dude!! Appreciate you following this with me, 'This is a rare moment because so few are out there and this is totally different from any other RC on the market right now. Working on part 4 soon, (the build and assembly)
The anti-torque twist should help a lot, very neat feature
I know right, I was amazed at that when I noticed it. It's legit real monster truck transfer case tech right there.
You are absolutely nuts!😎👌👍👍😁😁
Awesome truck brother 👍👍
Can’t get much better than this:
Feel the burn in both workout & wallet 😂🤪😎👍🏼 Another great video bud
thanks man, Gotta feel it all the time!! Otherwise, are we really alive? If I drive a gas RC and nobody hears it, did I really drive a gas RC? LOL. It's ok, I onyl miss my pristine 98 civic which I sold for 2K just a little bit, lol.
Hats off too you buddy I love what I’m seeing with this rig. I so could get a kick out of ripping this around my streets.
Keep it coming man!💪💪💪🙌
thanks man, will surely make more on this insane truck. I am documenting in great detail each step from the pickup, to the unboxing, to the build and drive.
So I’m getting closer to seeing all your videos because I’m at the RAMINATOR ones now
Welcome to the biggest playlist on all of UA-cam you got a love this truck. I’m still happy I got mine. Im planning on some office furniture destruction with it sooon.
Great Truck Man, enjoy!!!
truck is crazy cool!
Yes you did it for me haha hahaha thanks brother!!!
Norm ofcourse man!! I also gave you a video shoutout towards the end. Did you catch it!!
@@hybrid32494 yes sir I did buddy I appreciate that and thanks for doing that. How fast did it go and handle? Man.... Gives me ideas, tractor pulling bajas lol
@@hybrid32494 and I always watch from start to end, you botajell, EastSide RC....
Norm and we appreciate you brother Norm! The owner of Primal, Dan he put the MT tires and wheels on his MTXL Im sure you seen it in Botajells video! That looked like a diff blower🤣
@@hybrid32494 thanks for the shout out to brotha that was cool!
INSANITY!!! Been waiting for this video! Thank you 😇😇😇
140kg worth of servo!....😱 holy shit! This thing gets more and more impressive!!
I know right, my favorite design feature is the counter rotating axles to reduce torque twist, I don't think any Gas RC has this feature other than this model. It's a legit transfer case like a real truck would have.
Great vid brother! Allways enjoy watching!!! Surprised the mt wheels didn't cause the baja to flip on take off lol
hey dude!! I only gave the baja really small amounts of throttle when I put those wheels on, In a future video I will attempt to give it a lot more, then we will see what will happen. Gonna be fun!!!
Finally👌
finally!!! the Rock has come back to... PRIMAL MT BOX 2 unboxing!!! ahahaha. thanks for watching my friend!!!
jaime Garza agree! Everything looks like it was engineered by NASA!
I'm heading to PrimalRC. com now to check out those brakes for my BIG RC truck. Thanks man!
LOL, you got it!! These are some high level brakes for sure, I own a baja with a front disc brake kit, and they suck. these actually work.
To @@hybrid32494: So are they hydraulic or cable-actuated?
@@rcWizzard the ones on my baja are mechanical disc brakes, compared to this mechanical system on the PRIMAL TRUCK they are terrible. Although it's the same exact working principle and technology the PRIMAL ones are way better. When they are fully mounted I will compare and go over both systems. What sucks about the mama ones is they are on each front wheel, and its hard to adjust the left and right brake bias. The primal ones are on the driveshaft going to the diff, so your left and right will always brake the same.
@@hybrid32494 I have hydraulic brakes on my rear wheels. I'm worried about putting stress on the custom bevel gears on the diff. But the stopping power is not good at all. With mechanical you don't have to worry about air bubbles. Thanks, I look forward to your next video.
Bout spit my Pepsi out when I seen the pull-ups 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯🏎🔥💨💨💨💨
hahaha, I want a pepsi now too, but all I got it Coke. Thanks for watching my dude.
hybrid32494 it’s an awesome channel bro, I’m watching your primal mt videos now, I’m hoping to get one this spring and I’m already terrified of putting it together
Enjoying Bro 👍🏻
Can't wait to see you jump over the Baja b5 😎😎😎
That axle is the size of the axle I swapped on my Audi last weekend! Haha!! 👍👍👌
hahaha, That axle is OD for sure, lol. Did you see those suspension links, they are literally like the ones you can buy for any car at auto zone. As a joke I will go to auto zone and ask them for a replacement one for the primal MT, ahahah. lets see what they say.
@@hybrid32494 Haha that would be hilarious! Just tell them you don't know much about cars and you pulled it off your car and need to match it!
My man here getting swole with his Primal MT!! All about them gains whenever, however!!
I wish I had some gains, at this point in life I am all about maintaining the gains I previously made. Gains times were from about 17-27 years old, down hill after that.
@@hybrid32494 tell me about it brotha! I used to be able to dead lift some serious weight! Then once I hit my late 20s and have my job doing full time construction and life itself working out became impossible! Guess I just get my workout at work lol. I usually take bundles of hard wood (80-100lbs) and do some reps up and down as I'm moving them around lol! Kinda like how you do with your monster Rcs!
@@cwatson42785 We just got to accept the changes you know!! And try to work out any way we can, I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week, but I don't spend nearly as much time as I used to. I just try to maximize each set now and go to failure.
So if my math is correct, each servo has about 940 oz/in torque? Seems like it shouldn't need immediate upgraded servos like most rc's that have the cheap ass garbage electronics included. I know that Spektrum offers a 1/5 scale servo that has around 1100 oz/in @8.4v i believe, so thats probably what I would eventually do. I juat hate steering that is weak that it never goes back to direct center, so im constantly having to adjust the steering trim. I built 4 Tekno kits a year ago and installed the Protek 170TBL and 170SBL in all of them, and once the steering trim is dialed in, I can go weeks without needing to make any adjustments. So now every 1/8 RC rig I buy I always budget around $150 for a Protek 170 series, and about $110 for the 160 series on 1/10 cars. Super nice steering servos make the cars so much more enjoyable and easier to drive.
hey!! Totally agree with ya!! At this point i'd say there is enough steering power on this model, Just based on driving over myself in this video, you can see the steering at the slow crawl speeds is adequate. Ofcourse there is no other 80 pound truck with 1 foot tall and super wide tires, but it's adequate enough. Straight line centering is also good enough. I fully agree with you, the ability of a servo to stay straight is really important for me too.
this video is acceptable
LOL, I know that coming from you that is a great comment, ahaha. JK. I am documenting this thing as if im an RC journalist. Anyone can take it out of the box and say it's big, I went over high level details, like counter rotating axles, instructions, etc.... You my fav ball buster tho!! At least you're not saying, when Am I gonna drive it yet, I felt that coming, lol.
What gear are you going to run? The fast gear or the torque gears?
For now the goal is to just get it built and started for break in. Eventually I''m quite sure I will be running the top speed gear sets. But I will also be testing the top speeds with each gear set, just for out records, LOL!!
@@hybrid32494 👍
I wonder what the shipping would be to Canada. Might need to road trip down there one day to buy it haha. Heavy beast!
HMM, good question!! I gotta say their shipping prices are very fair for the size and weight. But the trip to PRIMAL RC is an adventure in itself, thats why I choose to drive and pick mine up. You'll get to meet the inventory and owner DAN, great guy.
hybrid32494 that would be cool wouldn’t it. For me that’s a good trip haha but it could be planned for next summer!
Hey bro!! Awesome cool 😎 liked 👍 subbed👍
thanks for watching my dude!! Glad to see you appreciating this EPIC truck, Ive Never owned something this expensive and unique, I'm honored. And thanks so much for your support!!
Awesome video bro! How’s the Baha after the primal wheels? Looked like a struggle? Hope the clutch is okay? Bro 8 is good! I had ya down for 6, the wife said 7? Nice video my friend. Can’t wait to see that crazy beast up n running! Keep up the awesome work brother👍👊👌💪
thanks for watching brother!! I only drove the baja very slowly because I just needed to show that the wheels do fit, I will attempt to give it more in a future video. But it seemed to be just fine. Only issue is the pipe thrown the exhaust right on the tire and I Had to wash it after. Next time you see me doing pull-ups it will be with the whole RC, thats what matters. Place your bets with your wife now, lol. I say at best 3 I hope. Thats if I can even hang it correctly on myself.
Good to know that Baha can handle those wheels. That will definitely make a cool video! I think you could pull off 5 with the whole truck, but don’t hurt yourself trying bro? All that weight hanging from your neck is a workout on its own. All the best man. Can’t wait to see the next one. 👍👊👌💪
BOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sooooooooo JEALOUS!!!!! LOL
Ha ha! "Welcome to the wheel party!" Hahaha! I had to post again bro. I haven't seen that much rubber since I turned 21 and got a job as a barback!
LOL, ahhaha. Whats up my dude, just noticed this comment. I slapped myself for not writing back earlier.
So where can I get a primal 1.5 what website is it I've looked everywhere.
8:35 are you trying to explain that it has a center differential lol
hey man! Thanks for watching. I was trying to show that this isn't like a normal Diff in any RC, it's actually a transfer case very similar to how a real monster jam truck would be built.
🤣🤣🤣 welcome to the axle party....great video 💪🏾✊🏾
WoooooooooooW 👏🏽💪🏽👏🏽
Yo my brother, you belong on ESPN when you me and all of the R/C COMMUNITY, will go one day mainstream baby, your friend william from NJ
forgetaboutit
Will those tires fit redcat rampage mt?
hey man, I checked while making this video. Problem is the REDCAT MT hubs are not 24 MM. They are 23 MM, so there is your problem. IF you had wheel adapters it would work.
@@hybrid32494 I'm guessing it would fit on that losi XXXl that botajell has??
@@hybrid32494 ok cool thanks mate
@@cwatson42785 we gonna have to wait to see if BOTAJELL tries to mount them on there. But I was pretty surprised they fit on my baja. And that was with the body fully on, I did not remove anything.
isnt that just a centre diff?
I have owned almost every RC ever made. I am going to say something negative to some people so don’t bite my head off. I would prefer a 2WD with 4 wheel independent suspension.
Awesome stuff brother, when your finished putting it together i will send you my mailing address so you can send it...... Lol
hahaha, best joke ever!! Can you imagine the shipping on this though. whoahhh!! This is the type of RC you keep, lol.
What's the Price on one of these..?
Hey man thanks for watching. These sell for about 3000 bucks right now. if you watch my other videos I’m sure you will agree they are totally worth the money
Christ , you should put it next to a spada 09 !!
Dude... it's a differential LITTERALLY EVERY RC CAR WITH AN OPEN DIFF does that...
That poor baja, hope it wasn't struggling much due to all that weight.LOL
hey man, I only ran the baja really slowly because I just needed to prove that the PRIMAL wheels fit without any mods. So I didn't really bash it like that, But I will in a sure video for you!! Im serous how it will be myself. Maybe it will do a back flip , LOL.
Protien an RCs... nothing f**king better
Those are some tractor wheels
ahah, YES!! Exactly!!! And they fit on the baja too, with no mods.
Dam ,I know you gotta make a buck,,but geez too many commercials.
😀👍👍👍
How much is that $$$$$ rc truck
None of those pull ups counted.
Hrbrid the rc gas king
Rcspaeks the electronic king
is that your sisters shirt?
my sister is Dead! Why would you say this to me?
.......................................................................NOT
JK bro, BORAT told me to say this.
Thank you for watching btw and the insult,
I will have to lift more now.
Ya need some bigger shirts, bro.
70kilo servos? I don't think so!
hey dude, Yes, thats the rating on there. What don't you think is right about this? Basic Bajas these days come with 40 KG servos. This has 2 70 KG ones.
15 Kilogram steering power isnt even enough vor a 1/10 scale crawler!!
sup bro! This has two 70 KG steering servos my dude. It's the most you could get in any stock gas rc on the market this day. Check out my other vids on this truck, I drove it over myself and tower a whole Xmass tree.
You sayd there are some 1/5 scale cars with 15 kilogramm servos
I'm still picking things up and putting them down lol
