He set the bar so high with his first three albums that it’s going to be extremely hard as well as requiring a great deal of creativity to give us those same feelings again. But I love him for trying. I wasn’t as big of a fan of his last two as well but that is comparing it to previous ones. They still are amazing albums. This album is my fourth favorite and that’s pretty damn good. Shopongle has been more tha. Music for me. I was a bit of a disciple.... it was my church in a way and I owe a great deal of who I am to it. Thanks for breaking open my head time after time!
I'd say the first 4 were all exceptional. They will remain cult classics forever. I really didn't like Museum of Consciousness at all. Codex V1 may not be as awe inspiring as the first four, but it's got that classic Shpongle feel to it again. Whatever the case, Hail Shpongle! They've brought much good feeling into a world that's suffering from a dire lack of it ♥
@@steelyman08 My main grip with album 5 and 6 is the lack of "travelling" from one place to another. Take the Beija Flor act from Nothing lasts for exemple: it starts in some kind of psychedelic place full of inter dimensional species babbling in an unknown language( I have an image of some kind of alien greenhouse when I listen to it), it then goes through a Spanish landscape, and finally arrives in a full blown psychedelic carnival. The same goes for DMT or my head feels like a freesbee for example. In 5 and 6 the tracks stay in the same place so to say. The sound design is still absolutely mind blowing, but they really lack some forward momentum.
It tells a story about The frolic dancing of atoms as they conjure up our existence. And then at the end, those very atoms, turn into a band of Flamenco pirates.
as an avid Shpongle follower and fan, hey, you guys define what i do and mean now.... THIS is, hold on, THIS IS the most amazing since the first album. heck since the 70s, this is!
I too am most moved by this one, i reminds me of when i was an old man at sea drinking in the gallows and bravely facing the monstrous creatures that the deep blue had a gift for conjuring..
Well this album sounded like crystal skulls part 3. Thats great they expanded that particular place in shpongleland and managed to do it like this album was made in 2000. Now i just wanna hear one more younger brother or 1200 micrograms before i die!
I kinda like all tracks, and this one in particular, but am I the only one who thinks the last two albums are a bit bland? I like that it is less glitchy sound, however I miss various eastern or classical instruments. Variety.
I've got the same feeling. "Codex VI" and "Museum of Consciousness" are both very pleasant and a nice continuation of the Shponglish universe, but they lack some... freshness? All albums before "Museum of Consciousness" have widened somehow the Shponglish world, adding new crazy places. The last two albums just continue the journey through well-known areas.
Pleasant music attracts pleasant people. ;) I remember myself being so excited about exploring Shpongle - every track gave some new feeling and experience. Now there's no surprise excitement - just pleasure of visiting old places. Still very nice, but that's not what makes us moving forward... :(
This is probably the best thing to exist in the history of existence itself.
This is this coolest song I've ever heard...
listen to more shpongle lol have u ever heard Divine moments of Truth of You are Me

I thought that it is getting better and better. This album is fucking amazing!!!
I don't know. I Woke Up As A Shlumutz is one of the best song's Simon's ever released. I can't get enough of it.
@@solamon77 Well, it's one of my least favorite from Postford's discography. Tastes and colors man...

It’s impossible not to smile to this. While on mushrooms...
You won't find many things impossible to smile about while on shrooms.
So fucking true. It cant be helped lol
👽🍄
Shpongle is like Mushrooms without taking them.

the "oh the album is not finished yet, awesome" moment

What are the Spanish lyrics for this?
"Ahumado y sabroso" (smoked and tasty) ...oooor "ahumado es sabroso" (smoked IS tasty) [Either way this is exquisite music..! #StayShpongled
Yes, it’s “ahumado y sabroso”. I wrote and sang them. 😊
Complete the comment:
This track sounds like/ is sampled from
...all of eternity.
Guajira by Santana.... Oh wait that's the entire Melody... What's the term for that ?
🌅
Ahumado ♫♪ Y sabroso ♫♪
Igorrr or shpongle?
The answer is "yes".
Two different flavors, but both are incredible in their own way.

Yeah, I also got the feeling of playin it safe. I want them to get wild again and release their creative genius!
Yes, indeed! The wildness is the thing that makes us shpongled. :) Pleasant to have someone feeling the same about it!
Indeed, I was hesitant to express my sentiment in fear of being mobbed by hardcore fans. But it seems, shpongled people are pleasant ones. :)
