OMG.... these are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!❤❤❤ 😍 I've ordered rope so that I can TRY to make some of these in various patterns. I've been watching LOTS of tutorials but I've NEVER done macrame before so PLEASE, PLEASE, FORGIVE my ignorance when I asked you... Why did you leave all the loose ends hanging after you finished? It can't be for aesthetic purposes, can it, because it only shows on the back side? Again, I've never done macrame but I saw one video where the artist made both ends mirror each other and there were no loose ends hanging. I promise I am in no way criticizing your method. You are very skilled at this and these are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS but I was just curious about the loose ends because I am just beginning to learn. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful tutorial! 🙏❤😍

How long are your starting cords?
She always lists her strings in the order she uses them. In this tutorial she is making 2 different towel holders, so if you see the list of materials it states for both holders you use 2 wooden rings and 3mm string. For the first design, attach 5 cords of 2m length (or 80”); and the 2nd one calls for 5 strings, each being 1.5 m which is 60”. Whenever you are confused, look at how the list of materials is written and you should be able to follow that much easier now that you know. Have fun!

Agreed, do all five need to be 6 ft long each? That seems like a lot. Or do we split a 6ft (2 meter) length into 5?
this is my question! definitely not 2 meters total - it makes each 5 cords way too short but 5 cords at 2 meters long seems way to long! 😢
Actually, I know I'm late but two aren't long enough at 2 meters, but she does mean two meters per cord

bonjour merci pour ce tuto bien expliqué, j'ai bien utilisé 2 m de cordes mais on a pas tous la même façon de serrer les cordes Il ne me restait plus assez pour enrouler les extrémités autour du 2ème anneau. Je le referais.

I made the first one and it turned out beautiful! The pattern was easy to follow and cord sizes were perfect with no waste! Just enough to complete the design as you created! Never made a towel holder before and found it to be a fun quick rewarding project! Thanks much for the experience!💖
May I ask what length of cord you used? This is my first attempt at macrame and I don't understand "2 meters". 2 meters total or do I need 5 cords that are 2 meters long? Help? Thank you!
@@tinad4829 certainly! First, please note that she always lists her cords in the order they are being used. She has 2 different designs in this one, so for the first design, you need 2 wooden rings and use 3mm string. Cut all 5 strings to 2m lengths (that’s 80” if that helps); Then for the 2nd design, again you need 2 wooden rings and 3mm string. Cut all 5 strings to a length of 1.5 m each (60”). I always add additional lengths unless I see them show a lot of excess they cut off. I did just add a random length for extra when I did the one. That’s all I made.

This is a great tutorial but when following the first one I needed longer than 2 m for the cords. I didn't have enough left to wrap the ends around the 2nd ring
Hi, this happens to me also because we might have different way and strength pulling the cords that's why to be sure now to avoid not having enough cords I added extra cords.
