    Yay!😄 I made the braided one today using 2 woven strands of light green and 1 of beige in the middle. It turned out fantastic! 😍 And... I was right, it was easier because I didn't have to focus so much and could listen to my audiobook while I worked so it was relaxing. I have to mention to anyone reading this that because it was easier to make did NOT take away from its beauty which proves "beauty" doesn't have to be complicated! 😊 It looks even better in real life. 👍♥️

    So pretty! 😍 My favorite is the solid color hanger. Looks like making more macrame towel hangers are in my future. Thanks for sharing this lovely pattern!♥️♥️♥️

      These are wonderful gifts ! ♥️ I finally finished the one from your other video and it turned out pretty good albeit my tension could have been a little bit better. Anyway, these are great and I have decided to make both of them, especially the first one that's braided because it will be the easiest and fastest. I plan to include these with a towel and matching potholders I knitted from macrame rope and give the set as Christmas gifts. Thank you again for teaching me how to do this. 🙏♥️😊 You are awesome! ♥️

    It's simple. Attach the ropes so that you have 18" hanging on one side of the fold and the remaining 68.6 inches hanging on the other side of the fold and BE SURE to arrange each set of two ropes so the two 18" lengths are side by side and between the longer ropes because this pattern uses two ropes as the filler. I've included a VERY DETAILED EXPLANATION BELOW. (Btw, my "All Caps" is for emphasis. I'm not yelling. 😄) Good luck!😊

    DETAILED INFO:
    It does make sense so I'll try to give you a detailed explanation below. I just finished the braided towel holder and it turned out perfect. I did have a little extra rope left over but it's much better to have more than you need than not have enough. Also, a person's tension (how tight or loose one ties the knots) can cause the need for more or less rope but if you follow the tutorial, you'll have more than enough rope.
    ⭐Below is my ATTEMPT at an explanation....
    ⭐ #1) You are correct that each of the 6 ropes should be 86.6 inches long. Unlike some macrame patterns where you fold each rope in half, 🛑 DO NOT FOLD ROPE IN HALF. Instead, FOLD IT WHERE 18 INCHES HANGS on one side of the fold and 68.6 INCHES HANGS to the other side of the fold. [68.6" + 18" = 86.6 inch length of rope] Do this for each rope but be sure to arrange two filler ropes together. The next step....
    ⭐#2) ATTACHING the Ropes - EACH ROPE will have a "FILLER" SIDE (F) AND A "KNOTTING" SIDE (K). The 18" portion of each rope is the "Filler". The Filler Rope is the rope you tie knots around and this pattern uses 2 Filler ropes together. The 68.6" length portion are the Knotting ropes so you attach ropes to the ring so the Rope Sets for Ropes 1 & 2, Ropes 3 & 4, and Ropes 5 & 6 hang in this order so that it puts 2 Filler ropes together side by side and in between the Knotting ropes in this order:
    ⭐[Knotting 68.6"/Filling 18"] and [18" Filling/Knotting 68.6"] and repeat x2
    ⭐#3) The Rope arrangement - 2 ropes next to each other make 4 strands in which you knot to make ⅓ of you braid strands. As mentioned , the 18- inch portion is the filler so you have to arrange each set of 2 ropes [= 4 strands] so two 18" strands are next to each other and in between the 68.6 inch lengths like this: [68.6"/18"] [18"/68.6"] You have 3 sets of 2 ropes that produce 4 strands per set. Each set of 2 ropes is used to make 1 of 3 knotted braid strands.
    Sorry this was a very lengthy explanation. Hopefully, you didn't need all this info but if you did, I hope I wrote it clearly enough to make sense and actually be of help. This is a very easy and relaxing project once the rope is attached correctly to the ring because the process is repetitive and alternates right and left hand knots. If you fail to alternate and tie knots from only one side, it will spiral and won't lay flat. I'm very new to this but I'm enjoying it. I wish you good luck and hope you enjoy this project as much as I did. 🙂

    Soy de Costa Rica y hago macramé por diversión. Entiendo que las cuerdas cortas al centro son por el tipo de nudo que utilizas. Gracias ❤

      Costa Rica🥰gracias por compartir. Sí, los extremos cortos del medio están hechos para ahorrar cordón. Si lo dobláramos por la mitad, quedaría mucho largo sin usar en el centro🤗

    The lengths on here are not making sense to me. Your directions written, say 2.2 meters, which would be 86.6 inches. However, your video shows you only going to 18” when you double over for a total of 36”…that’s 50” shorter than the written instructions? My cords are really short

    • @MUR_ARTA
      @MUR_ARTA  5 місяців тому +3

      I don’t understand what’s wrong with you, watch the lesson carefully. the cord is 2.2 meters, we measure 45 cm from the 1st end and bend the cord, this will be like the middle and fasten it so that the short end is on the right. Then the cord is 2.2 meters, again we measure 45 cm and bend it, attach it to the ring so that the short end is now on the left. And so we continue. Box left, right, left, right, left, right. Understand?

      Hi. I made an attempt to give a short and an extremely detailed explanation for anyone who doesn't understand for whatever reason. If I have made errors in my info/instructions in any way, please let me know and I'll change or delete it. If it is helpfu to you or will save you time explaining it to someone else, feel free to use it. Have a great day!😊😊😊😊
