I'd love to hear the radio chatter after the race. Let's call it what it is, "That's Racing!!". No way in HELL Blaney was pushing the #6 to a win, he was pushing him out of the way, for the win!! I have no problem with that, it's called being aggressive. I have a problem with protecting the brand to the point of blandness & inauthenticity!!!

The spotters are there for the purpose of telling the drivers where the other cars are if you saw NASCAR’s saftey system you’ll realize it’ll be harder for the drivers to look around and turn their heads, so they “the drivers” need a spotter “a second set of eyes” to warn them of wrecks who is coming up behind them, now as an American to the Australian, is there any way we Americans can watch V8 supercars on TV?
The spotters are basically the eyes for the drivers. The drivers visibility with how they're basically in a "cacoon" of sorts with the seat that wraps around the head, way the roll cage is designed, and how they're strapped in, they have very limited visibility. So the spotters job is to tell them where the cars around them are, if they're clear of them or not. Who is coming up behind them, they also give them info such as the gap to the leader in crunch time situations, or if they're leading toward the end how far back the gap is to 2nd place and if they're coming. As well as help them navigate through crashes, etc. But also they can kind of work as a messenger to speak with other spotters and kind of work some in race strategies with other drivers. The spotters are all typically in a generalized area high up on the track so they can see EVERYTHING going on. I hope that helped.
Now the "stage" thing started 2 or 3 years ago I think (don't quote me. I'm just getting back into watching NASCAR again). I'm not truly sure what their main goal for doing it was. I know in the main off road truck racing series they would have these "competition cautions" at a certain point throughout the race just to bunch the field back up and make it more entertaining to watch as opposed to just sitting at watching one person run away and dominate the race. In NASCAR's case I think this may have been part of the reason they did it in order to try to make it more entertaining for new fans to watch. Instead of the tradition just one long race continuously going and sometimes having one person like I said run away with it, they break the race up into these stages of "X" amount of laps and then give extra points to whoever "wins" that stage to add extra incentive and provide drama and craziness.
It's sad to see viewers demanding to see the Radioactive for the Daytona 500, just so they can skip to Newman's crash. And to the other commenters on this clip, don't even try to use the "They published one for A.D. and Almirola" line, because other people have different wishes and opinions. If NASCAR doesn't want to publish a Radioactive for the 500, then so be it. There's clips of audio from LaJoie and even Newman's teams on the Tube. Look them up instead of acting like immature 5 year olds demanding for something. To NASCAR: Your Radioactives never fail to please. Keep up the awesome work!
