- Blacksmithing - Forging a piece of rebar
Having recently purchased an Anyang 25kg pneumatic power hammer, I'm starting to play with it and learn how to use it.
In this video I bash a 3 inch long piece of 20mm rebar down to 1/2 inch.
The first time I tried the hammer I found it quite scary - the amount of force it can apply with each hit is enormous!
Thank you for using the blacksmith hammer produced by Anyang Forging Press, it is a high quality choice and it is difficult to find used blacksmith hammer due to its long life and high build quality. It's a great value compared to any of its competitors and comes with the longest, most comprehensive warranty.
😮. Congratulations. Hopefully you will get great use out of it for many years ahead my friend. Can't wait to see more updates an projects and many more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep forge lit. Keep Making. God bless.
Thanks mate. I thought it was worth watching.
Price of the hammer
how much vibration an noise do you get outside the shop?
To be honest, I don't know - I'll have to do another video....
Let us say, I don't like to use the power hammer at the weekend, in case I disturb my neighbours relaxation time.
Today I was using the power hammer with the doors shut - I definitely should have had ear defenders on.
Playing is a very accurate description of your skill as a smithy. Well You have to start somewhere.
This is only the second time I've ever used a power hammer and need to learn - I assume from your comment that you are an accomplished blacksmith, and therefore I'd love to learn from some of your videos using a power hammer - what is the name of your channel?
@@theamateurblacksmith He probably just watches movies of other people doing things and makes negative comments to make himself feel better.
Were you watching from your mommy's basement?
