How sweet of Christy to make sure Callie got those quilting hoops. I kept a sewing pattern my grandmother made out of a worn out pair of overalls. Virtually worthless to the wider world but it sure meant something to me.
Oh my! I burst into tears and cried right along with Callie! Y’all are just the kindest! Now I’m on to #4.

Callie & Christy, Today I watched Video 1 & 2 (left comments) and thought I was caught up and then spied No. 3; the best one yet!!! You are so much fun and I cried when Callie got to hold Grandmother's quilting hoops again. My quilting grandmother passed away in 1968 but I remember being with her and watching her stitch & cook, like it was yesterday. What a treasure to have something that she held and treasured. What a sweet moment between cousins! I hope you both have a wonderful week and stick with the white on the Flag...such a pretty chart for Memorial Day. Thanks for sharing your time with us. The colored rings come on the sewing baskets. The ring fell off of my grandmother's basket that I have and shattered like crystal.. She would have been 130 yrs old. I am 79. Love your stories and stitching.

Loved your video. I am from Sulligent and have been to Faulkners many times. The owners are relatives. My late sister Mary introduced us as she worked on our genealogy. I hope to go to Decater and Huntsville to the stitching shops. Loved the antiques and stitching. Beautiful stitching.

I really love your flosstubes! Callie, the beads on the ends of the lace bobbins were attached to keep the bobbins from rolling. My sister bobbin laces. Happy stitching, y’all!

Great video Ladies. I could watch you for hours. I too, have ordered stuff after taking my sleeping pill. I took Ambien and would eat butter out of the tub and never remember it. Good going….Ball Jars are made in Indiana in Muncie, Indiana. I collect the aqua blue antique ones (have been for 27 years) and have them on top of my kitchen cabinets…..for a long time I wanted lights on top of my cabinets on the back to shine through them at night…. 2 years ago my husband and I remodeled our kitchen and he wired up lights to do so. I have about 100+ of them and they (if I do say so myself) are GORGEOUS!! You two are hard on a pocket book! LOVED my visit with you both, Have a great 2 weeks 😊😊😊

I was stitching as I watched/listened to you two. Looked up and at first I thought you had trick glasses on but realized it was your light shining on your glasses!

My grandmother from Arkansas made beautiful tatted lace. I knit, crochet, quilt, and do some cross stitch, but I never learned to tat. I may try again!

When I buy fabric to stitch on, I write with a permanent marker the count and what fabric it is in the salvage edge or along the edge anywhere. If I cut a piece of fabric apart, I will write it on the leftover piece. That way I always know what fabric and I’m stitching on. I got last week one of Shelley Fry’s coverlet bags, and it is amazing! I like those bookmarks as well. I’m enjoying your videos.

Long may our flag wave! Lamb and howl are cute! I have a quilt hoop my grandmother bought for me in the 70's. I also have an antique quilt frame one of my clients gave me that her father made in the early 1900's. Another client ( I had a salon) gave me hers that is an oval on a stand. I finally retired this Jan at 76 so hopefully I can start quilting again. I shed a tear when you did. Things from family members that have passed are so precious!

Ok about the stinking white floss...I hated stitching white too because my stitches didn't lay right no matter what I did I including rail roading. I had some Cosmo thread for a certain pattern and found the white just stitched perfectly and now I will only use COSMO white thread. Try it!

Nicknames story for me that I couldn't say granny or grandpa when i was little. I could only say "grunt". So my moms parents became Granny and Grandpa grunt for many many years. 😂😂😂

I'm a tatter. Your ends of the shuttles maybe too open to use. I have bought several old shuttles just to have since they weren't useable anymore. The metal and red shuttle look they might be usable. The sewing basket came with the things on the top. I have one like it.
