Great demo!! Anybody that turns their nose up and sleeps on the Mosky Golden Horse and Mosky Blue Delay because they’re $20 is just being a pedal snob... they are both fantastic pedals!
I’m mostly with you on this - however I got the Blue Delay a while back and it stopped working completely after a few weeks. Just ordered a Golden Horse in hopes that the first Mosky was a dud. I realize you get what you pay for, but there’s so much praise for the Golden Horse, there must be something to it!
@@rgvt5638 is just that ground on the jacks (input and output) are just touch without being solder, so what I did is add a tiny piece of wire on both of them and the issue is fix now!
Thanks for the GREAT review, hoss... I just ordered one and this is one of the BEST demos around; JUST how the pedal SOUNDS without a bunch of LOADED opinions about the Klon this is based on... Thank you!
Nice playing and review!, yes i would imagine they are exactly the same, i reviewed the Mosky one and it sounds the same, i think a lot of the Chinese manufacturers or suppliers at least just use the same pedals and rebrand them, seems to be a thing, i'm actually giving mine away on my channel along with some others i reviewed this year :)
Thanks man :) yeah seems to be the case.. there are a lot of pedals that look identical out there! just checked out your channel, great videos! your editing is so good haha looking forward to seeing your future stuff :)
Received one from my step son as a birthday gift...holy wow! It is absolutely stunning 🤩. Very smooth, great sustain...no coloration of your guitar sound. Love it.
I picked up one of these several months back for around $15 on AliExpress. From what I can tell, it’s a good “klone.” Of course I don’t have real one to compare against, but it’s a cool little pedal to stack with others like a fuzz, or by itself into an amp that is just about to break up. ✌🏻
by the logo, the logo for Muslady and Mosky is on the same place on the side of the pedal.. you cant see it in the video but its very easy to see when you have the pedal in your hand :)
Ryan Lutton just received both yesterday. The Mosky is fuzzier than the muslady. Opened them up, and it looks to be the same chipsets. The Mosky seems more open and true. But has this unwanted fizz when you turn up the gain. I’m keeping the Muslady. Sounds a tad fatter too.
I just got one today and its awesome 👌 😎 👏 with a 79 twin reverb with master valume and a 2013 lespaul pro 2 gets you the right amount of gain you need 😉
So i just received mine. My usual 9V Korg power supply makes noises from hell it's terrible. I wish it had a battery. Other than that it sounds really good. I thought i was going to like it with a little bit of gain, but that clean boost is just fantastic it makes my amp sound so much better. The overdrive channel in particular is crisp and tight the highs are clear and have bite but never brittle. The bottom end is defined clear and has lots of headroom. I'm nor sure if i like this or the Tube Screamer better, the TS has that warm sound, but this one i believe will to do wonders in terms of cutting through the mix. In fact they probably mix very well.
Hard to tell if it's exact as I normally run it in a chain and we have different guitars but it's pretty damn close to my Mosky. I can't find any Mosky ones anywhere either, I wanted a second one.
sounds similar to me! might be worth getting a muslady if you can find one then :) I managed to get this one for £12 which is pretty mad! thanks for sharing the video! subscriber gained :)
@@RyanLutton Oooh thanks so much! I did get the silver one in the Mosky branding instead but I wanted the gold. I'm going to see if they're cheap here (Australia) Have a nice day!
great style of review It winds me up when a reviewer aspends 5 min of a 10 min review talking I also cannot stand it when they hide the effect with reverb or you can hear the strings instead of the amp well done!
I have a multi voltage power supply that can change to 9 v but I dont know if it'll work with the pedal or fuck it up, its one of those you can change the polarity and the voltage and i've wanted this pedal for so long and the first one I ordered came defective
From what I know, hoss, the Joyo Vintage is a TubeScreamer style overdrive, and The Golden Horse is a Klon overdrive clone... I don't know about the "Metal" part... But I've got the Joyo Ultimate Drive, and I LOVE it because it can do ANYTHING from a light tube overdrive (like a TS, but WITHOUT the obvious "mid-hump", and with MUCH better bass, IMHO) to full-blown distortion... Plus it has a high/low switch... It's a clone of the FullTone O.C.D. at less than a QUARTER of the price... Just a suggestion...
I've been playing for about 15 years give or take, not in the most disciplined way though haha I was self taught apart from having bass lessons for a bit as a teenager :)
The pedal sounds amazing but the centaur is throwing an axe as if it were a spear... That's just not realistic. Real centaurs know better than that. I'm sorry but until they change it, I'll have to pass.
@Kyle G Wow! Touche' my friend and thanks for the knowledge. I had to look "halberd" up. However, the one on the pedal doesn't have the actual spear tip like the ones I seen pictured but I get it, the elongated point on the axe head doubles as a spear. Well, I'm happy to be wrong, now I can buy the pedal without fear of offending my Centaur fanbase. Cheers Bro!
@Kyle GIt's hard to go wrong with this pedal. It's super affordable and it really does sound great. Plus, unlike a Tube Screamer, it doesn't steal your low end.
Hey Kyle, I'm curious if you received the pedal yet and if so, I'd love to know what you think of it as far as sound quality and build & footswitch quality. Thanks Bro
Great demo!!

I have one (Mosky) and it sounds exactly like this. I had never heard of the Muslady brand until this video.
must be the same chip different brand then :) thanks for the comment!
Both are exactly the same... Muslady is a product line by the brand Mosky.

Actually, if you open the Muslady it says Mosky in the internal boards
Love the no-nonsense review, thanks. Love that you demo'd it at a variety of settings. Thank you!
Beautiful playing Ryan!!! It's not only the review moreover the things you play are awesome

I bought this pedal for the price of a chicken. Such a lovely 1st stage drive and/or distortion boost, great value.
Same situation here. Ordered a Mosky, got a Muslady instead. Nice review!
Thanks man :) are you enjoying the pedal?
Everyone has muslady I believe
Garret Asonza how do you guys know if it’s a muslady? Just ordered mine and am about to receive tomorrow.

I'm using a DIY guitar with invader pickups and a Blackstar tube amp. I also play like shit :D

I wonder if it is noisy...?
is there a difference for Mosky?
has anyone ever put a mosky GH into a mosky GH and see what happens. Great sounding pedal.
You end up with a Golden Pony 😂

are u playing in clean channel? can it play rock if the channel is in dirty channel? thanks, ryan.
How many mAs does the adapter need for this pedal? I have it. But i need the ac adapter
this video was done using 100mA.. i think the actual draw of the pedal is less than that so 100 is plenty :)
pet the guitar
