      You can. Except this man's information is very historically incorrect. The first Christians followed the Julian calander and the Orthodox Christians have never changed that. Find the original teachings in the true faith of the Orthodox Christian Church. ☦️ God bless you.

    Thank you Jim Staley for this very accurate explanation.
    I was born in 1948 just a few weeks ahead of Israel. I was not raised Jewish, but have always loved Israel. I lived in Johannesburg South Africa and came in contact with a Messianic Church there in 1968, which was a mixture of a few Jews and many Christians. I got baptised there in 1969. There were a few hundred members by then. And we all kept the Feast Days of the LORD EXACTLY AS YOU HAVE JUST EXPLAINED IT.
    I want to say these Feast days certainly changed my life!!
    I married a young lady in that Church and our children and now some grandchildren are also keeping the FEASTS OF THE LORD. It has been a great Blessing indeed.
    Thank you for your teaching. You are the first Bible teacher that I have heard in many years teaching this truth. May your ministry be blessed for that. Amen!
    My wife and I were School teachers and we left South Africa about 22 years ago. We moved to New Zealand for a more stable life. After nearly 40 years marriage she recently passed away to be with the LORD. I long to see her again in Gods Kingdom.
    Written by Erich now living in New Zealand.

    I am truly convicted by this video. I stopped celebrating Christmas last year because in my spirit I was instructed not to. Ever since THE LORD has been leading me to UA-cam videos bringing me into the knowledge of HIS Truth. Thank you for this succinct but powerful teaching. May I ask that you do another video telling us when these feasts are celebrated and how we who are engrafted into the house of Israel can participate in them. Thank you

      Look at the Hebrew/Jewish calendar and you should see the holy days. For instance, Passover is supposed to be in the month of Nissan on the 15th-22nd
      (Exodus explains this). Therefore, Pesach or Passover 2024 begins before sundown on Monday, April 22, 2024, and ends after nightfall on April 30, 2024. Notice that Easter is celebrated on the 31st of March 2024 and is 3 weeks off from when Passover really is. Hope this helped!

      This same things happened to me last Christmas. I cannot celebrate it again. I was so upset at the mockery of what Christmas is. It breaks my heart. I've been hungrily searching for my place, my families place. I have felt so lost. I won't go to my regular church any more. I can't pretend that I don't know the Bible verses where God tells us to always celebrate these feast days and to always observe the Sabbath. I can't smile and play church anymore. Something strong came over me and I have to find my place and get in line with it and help my family as best as I can.

      @@jeaniecurry4512I don't know about the 2nd, but Passover this year started before sundown on the 22nd of April to nightfall the 23rd. The day after Passover is the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread which lasts a week. Some call the whole time period of Passover and Unleavened Bread simply "Passover" because they are back to back and leaven is avoided on Passover. So again, the day/evening after the 1 actual day of Passover marks the beginning of the 7 day Feast of Unleavened Bread. So today (25th of April) the feast is still going on.

    Short, sweet, to the point and true. I pray that all followers of Yeshua come to understand and embrace these most precious days, starting with the weekly Shabbat, as He begins Leviticus 23 with, or more accurately ends creation week with (Genesis 2:2-3). We are so incredibly blessed to have our eyes opened to these most amazing, previously hidden gems of our Father, and our Messiah.

      I get what you mean. How many years have you said there must be more to this than what we have been taught and the way we were taught? But now glory to God we are coming into the understanding we asked for. But the thing is, those celebrations the jews had were telling of what was to come. The promised one. But they missed it because there was no understanding of it by the time he came. He was not happy with the priesthood because as he said, they would not enter in thereby keeping others out of the kingdom of heaven. They thought the law saved them but it was the promised one who saved us from the law that was death to us.
      So the focus has to always be on Gods work and not our own and our flesh.

    I wonder why, despite the evidence in the Bible that the current dates being observed by the Church are incorrect, the Church still follows them. It definitely isn't out of ignorance, we now have the knowledge. Passover, First Fruits, The Feast of Booths; these are what the Church should be celebrating. It's not too late for the Church to begin doing so, but time is running out; we are getting closer to the last days.

    • @thialee7386
      @thialee7386 9 місяців тому +2

      It's because of the love for tradition. I was talking to a Christian about Christmas and elements of it, like cutting down and decorating the tree, that have nothing to do with celebrating Christ's birth (but is a pagan practice). They basically said well they are still going to put up their tree because they see nothing wrong with it because they LIKE the tradition of putting up the tree during that time of year. Also, I told them that I think Christians should pay more attention to the original holy days in the Bible vs these man-made days that God did not give us and they gave me a look like I was being a fanatic.

      They required that before the first coming of our Messiah. It is important to understand the times and how to celebrate what the heavenly Father is giving us to be able to follow His prophetic clock, and the way we have do it obviously doesn't require blood or those burnt offerings anymore but that doesn't mean that we are going to celebrate pagan feasts and forget our Father's commandments. The Sabbath is one of the most important celebrations and it is not kept either by most of the believers.
      The Messiah, Paul, and the apostoles kept all the celebrations because that is the Father's will, and it is the way we show our love and respect to Him.
      When Paul said in Colossians 2
      "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ."
      He said that because most of the people didn't keep those days anymore, but they are forever to be kept and Paul taught them to go back to the Hebrew roots of the faith.

      @Viorinx- Hello, the main point is not to perform empty rituals or just gping through specific steps and traditions. The biggest and most important point is understanding the meaning of how they are Gods Timeclock of prophetic events. The other huge thing he didnt say is that the feasts are different from our western concept of remembering a past event like D-Day or Independence Day. The feasts are unique in that they all point forward to events in the future! The first four are connected to Christs first Advent, and the last three are connected to the events of Christs second advent.

    • @Viorinx
      @Viorinx 5 місяців тому

      Thank you both. I think God wants us yo celebrate Jesus's birth and death since He's our savior. I'm not sure about these feast days, but it couldn't hurt to observe them, especially since some Jews still do. Do they do the sacrifices?

    • @GG2025-k4s
      @GG2025-k4s 5 місяців тому +1

      @Viorinx Jesus birthday is not in Christmas, so, if someone wants to celebrate it, it should never be on the same day of the birthdays of Tammuz, Horus, Attis, Krishna, Dionysus, Mithra, etc and so many pagan gods and it should be celebrated according to the Bible and the biblical calendar.
      No, Jews don't do sacrifices, they are waiting for the 3rd temple to be ready for it, they are planning to start sacrificing animals again, which is an abomination, but it is what they still believe it because they don't realize that Jesus already gave his blood for all humanity. They have the red cows ready as far as I understand.

      Take a closer look at Genesis 18, the first recorded Passover. The symbolism is undeniably Passover. The angel visiting Abraham. The meal. Washing their feet, prepping the bread in haste, visitation of angel to Sarah with prophecy of child, intercession of Abraham to God for Sodom. Couldn't be Galilean if they did it first here.

    • @jadenbailey2637
      @jadenbailey2637 Рік тому +1

      I think there was even a teaching Jim did a while back talking about how the meal they had may have translated to a meal they had BEFORE Passover, as in long before, because the disciples asked in advance where they wanted to prepare the meal. Because of its importance it was very unlikely they would ask Jesus day of where he wanted to have the meal, so this last supper could have been even as much as a month before Passover as long as it was in the set time of preparation for the feast and for unleavened bread. It would be impossible for them to have the dinner and Him be buried before the high sabbath at the same time.

      "The Qumran Scrolls show us that the Essenes separated themselves from Jewish political and ritual society, and the temple at Jerusalem because the usurper priests were following the wrong calendar, the wrong purity rules, and officiating improperly before the Lord. They, therefore, practiced ritual purity in their own community and waited for time when the true priesthood would be re-established in Jerusalem. Their communities were surrogate temples for the Qumran separatists."

    I just want to add some context to the message given here. "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." Colossians Ch. 2 v 16 and "Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
    For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
    Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
    Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
    One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
    He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks." Romans 15 1-6

    Hello...I have a question. At the mark of your video @6:46- you mentioned that "2 loaves of bread and they were bringing it before God fully leavened"...my understanding leaven is like yeast also in biblical meaning is SIN. So why would they present something with leavened to God and we know that YESHUA is the Unleavened Bread He is without SIN?🤔Thank you!

    Actually the slaughter of the Lamb is before Passover, look up the tradition, The animal was slain on the eve of the Passover, on the afternoon of the 14th of Nisan, after the Tamid sacrifice had been slaughtered, i.e., at three o'clock, or, in case the eve of the Passover fell on Friday, at two. The slaughtering took place in the courtyard of the Temple at Jerusalem. He said, "eat this bread", another hint. So a Thursday he was crucified, 3 days and 3 nights. ;)

    My sister believes she is a Jew (or Israel) bc she said there are 10 lost tribes. I didn't quite know what to think until I recently watched an archeologist on the UA-cam channel, Bible Expedition. He explained how following the Assyrian invasion (which, I was told took the Northern tribes captive), the actual borders of Jerusalem expanded (I think he said) 15 times its size. The archeologist explained that makeshift tent cities suddenly appeared at this time, and he even read scriptures explaining the event: "ALL of Jacob shall be saved"...
    It made sense to me. My husband served in the Middle East for almost 5 years... I understand how citizens always attempt to flee oncoming military onslaughts.. even if they are dangerous aerial attacks. The Northern tribes were experiencing attacks from slow-moving armies -on foot. They were being taken over village by village. They had more time to flee than the Syrians of today.. or the Iraqis... or even the Ukrainians... And what has happened in all of these recent wars? Civilians have fled. So, apparently, did the 10 tribes - to their 2 brothers in the South, and they were welcomed, based on the recent archeological discoveries.. This would mean that modern-day Israel is as it claims to be: a full representation (as it continues to expand) of all of Jacob... and it also means that Ephesians and Galatians, etc.. can be fully trusted

      This is a false doctrine from messianic judiasm. The lost ten tribes of isreal. My brother in law feels the same, that he is (actually Jewish) though born in Peru (dude has more inca blood in him then Israelite), and that salvation is only for the Jewish people and not in the Faith of Jesus Christ (you cant say Jesus either cause its a pagan name ).

    Maybe someone has the answer for me. In the gospels like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; it states that Yeshua died on Preparation Day which is the time the lambs are slain. The last supper seemed more like breaking of bread and drinking of the wine than a Passover Meal. What are your thoughts knowing that Yeshua didn't die on Passover, but the Day of Preparation as it is written?

    • @PassionForTruthVideo
      @PassionForTruthVideo  Рік тому +1

      Passover is not a day but a meal. Preparation day was called Passover because it was the day that they killed the Passover lamb and yet it was also the day they prepared for the 1st day of unleavened bread, which was a high sabbath.

    • @johnnytangent2849
      @johnnytangent2849 Рік тому +3

      Actually the Passover (PO) is the 14th and the High Day Sabbath is the 15th which is the First Day of Unleavened Bread (ULB).
      "In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein." Levitcus 23:5-7
      Christ and His disciples kept God's 14th PO (14th of Nisan on the Hebrew Calendar) - the Pharisees and those who followed them kept the 15th as does modern Pharisaical Judaism today (it unscripturally keeps PO on the 1st day of ULB). But you're correct 3days and 3nights is not honored by the anti-christ-ian Good Friday/Easter Sunday farce.
      Christ instituted the New Covenant and the Christian PO at the beginning of the 14th (sunset ends one day and begins the next). So sunset of the 13th ended Tuesday and began Wednesday - PO itself is not a Sabbath but a preparation day for the 1st day of the Feast of ULB. The 1st day of ULB is a High Day (annual Sabbath).
      Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday afternoon and hurriedly entombed before sunset (remember sunset marks the end of Wednesday and the beginning of Thursday (the high day Sabbath - 1st day of ULB). He spent wed/thur/fri 3 NIGHTS and thur/fri/sat 3 DAYS there and left the tomb exactly 72 hours after being entombed.
      While it was still dark - before sunrise - Mary came and found the tomb empty. There was no Sunday sunrise resurrection. Messianic Jews should be cautious of Pharisaism. Judaism and Catholicism both rely on tradition rather than Scripture and seriously twist scripture or ignore it altogether!
