When I go to Texas to train with my nephew on Kali/JKD,Fillapino MartialArts.I have a great teacher.
Slash, we say lobtick and snap we call it witick. Great job young masters.
Strong work guys and great video too! Could you please have the camera man/woman make sure your feet are in the picture, I like to watch practitioners footwork as it is easy to overlook, I want to understand the body mechanics of the move so I don't get the progression of moves wrong in the end or loose power in my strike. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and I really appreciate the help!
Thank you young master! Excellent instruction.
Really good! Thanks for sharing with the community

Laaa e laaha ill lal law ( there's no God but the God) blessing for you
Very nice video. Please continue promoting our very own Filipino Martial Arts.
Pugay!
Can I ask, why in the closed position, it looks like you are protecting the bicep and chest? Would this all still work if in the closed position the off hand was protecting the chin a bit like the right hand of a boxer? Thanks.
Part of the closed position is pressing your bicep into your left hand (and vise versa) to activate your lats and form a solid frame with your body. That will in turn help with power generation by being able to rotate your body stronger with everything being tight.
Or at the very least, put your arm in a position ready to explode into the next strike, like a snap.
I’m positive you can modify to use your left hand to cover, but it may not have a great purpose at a medium-long range with sticks. Perhaps with blade work or CQC with the stick.
@@mcanastacio Appreciate the detailed reply. I understand now it is more about loading for the next strike than just defending a part of body.
👍
Thanks now my imaginary Filipino character can fight better.
What I mean is, thank you for teaching some tricks I needed. Slashing techniques, especially.
QUESTION: Can these tricks be used into swords??
Tooooo much talking less action
Too much of Michael Angot in my nose
