I saw in an interview with Gy Waldron (Creator of The Dukes of Hazzard) that "General Lee" was originally going to be a Trans Am. But because other movies and shows used Trans Ams already they went with the Charger.
easy there, remain calm, there was no "bandit edition" ever...it was called a special edition and was an option from '76 to '81. it was black w/gold accents and usually came with T-tops. there was a gold SE in '78 as well...carry on
its not a SE. SE were black and gold no other color. Other than the all gold ones. This one is not a turbo trans am you can tell because it has a shaker hood not the offset light bar. and the turbo trans ams werent fast period. 210hp from factory.

Actually there was an '80 S/E Turbo Trans Am. They made a sequel to Smokey and the Bandit in 1980 with said 1980 S/E Turbo Trans Am.
