Thank you for sharing what no doubt took a lot of time to put together. One of my dreams has always been to travel these sights, you helped tremendously. I'm a retired trucker driver, having the chance to drive several W900A Kenworths. Every single time I drove one, it was a dream accomplished, passing over driving a newer truck just for the nostalgia and connection to this movie. In the scene where Burt Reynolds faced the camera and smiled (breaking the fourth wall), I always felt it an invitation to join in the fun of the film. I hope all enjoyed their chance to join in the fun~ For the good old American life: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money” Mostly for the fun~

I enjoy this more and more every time I watch it. Amazing work here, showcasing some amazing stars. I was thankful to live in the Atlanta area for 20 years, and this brings back some great memories both of beautiful North Georgia growing up and of this forever classic film. I know progress is progress....but its sad to see locally famous spots dissappear....all over the country I'm sure it's like that....just like here in New Hampshire

It's sad to see things change.I don't like change but it's necessary or there is no progress. Like everyone else I miss my early days of 30cent gasoline and penny candy but they are gone but there are many things today I like too.its great to see your kids thrive and succeed but I'm still afraid for them and an very uncertain future.

Sally fields is one of the few ones left of the franchise.. it has to be bittersweet, sad for her to look back at it, look back at her youth, I think that's what most people in the comment section feels, that simple time in life when there was less responsibility, youth, exuberant part of yesteryear. We all have places like this in our hearts, makes me want to visit Jonesboro.... just to soak in history.

The irony is that not only did they have a police escort for a distance, anyone of them could transport Coors and it's legal now because they brew it differently now.

Wow... First thought, this song and how appropriate it is, although I'd venture to say that now more than ever, most of us who lived during the 60's, 70's and 80's can only understand the significance of that world vs. the world now. There was pride, not just in America, but in self. Looking at the houses that were well kept in '77, the small businesses that were open along older routes are now long gone... the attractions (fairgrounds in Atlanta). In 1977, we didn't have a fraction of the technology, the income, the "toys" that we have today, and in 1977, life was so much richer. I'm 48, and it saddens me greatly to see the world have so much now, and use it all for purposes that have done nothing but cause trouble for the world. But what do I know... I'm just a foolish old man who's missing my world that the next time I'll be able to enjoy is when I am called Home to Heaven <3
