    In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with the price of the atlas. Instead of undercutting evolve like some of the other brands are doing, they’re competing with them directly. And personally I’m more than happy to see them do it, I’d love for exway to run evolve out of business entirely, considering that evolve’s boards are unreliable deathtraps. Evolve still hasn’t fixed the brake locking issue, I’m happy to see a direct competitor.

    • @kitk888
      @kitk888 3 роки тому +1

      Yep ^^ what this guy said. I had an evolve stoke that threw me off after the brakes locked up!!! I ended up getting an exway flex riot and it’s been the best decision I’ve made, such a lovely board. The other thing with Evolve is those terrible terrible remotes !! Never going back!!

    great review. but in my opinion, i dont think its worth the price. the range is around a budget board range. if ur going 4wd, u need an impressive battery.. the website says 4wd street should be 42km. u got 26km. thats not a good sign.. ..i get 21 miles on my zealot lol.

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah 26km wasn't an ideal range to get. I'm going to do another test with Turbo mode turned off and ride at a more cruising pace between 25-30kmh and see what happens.

    This is simply the most polished, well engineered and reliable skateboard in it’s price range. Just check out Exway’s board manufacturing process videos here on UA-cam. Insane amount of attention to detail. It beat Evolve uphill and reliability wise. Next time you feel like bashing startups on UA-cam Evolve, just remember how Exway mopped the floor with you.

    I'm glad they have dropped the price a bit. The range is a let down but the build quality thus far appears to be good quality.

    Thanks for you video !! Man you forgot another downside !! Range !! 2400$ get you only 20km range and I can imagine a lot less in a real offroad trail .... for that price it should come with a much bigger battery and all options included .The M24 and the propel are much better 4wd off road board for similar price. I like the idea of the Atlas but having no range specially at this price really sucks !! : ).

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  3 роки тому

      Yeah, the range is a bit of a let down for a lot of people. I'm interested to give it a go in the 2WD setup to see how it differs.
      Yeah, I dunno about those boards. The Propel is a Cycleagle clone and the M24 might be the same, but not sure. Propel has a specced range of 27km and as we all know, boards never do what they're specced at.
      Then again, I haven't ridden them so I can't be sure.

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  3 роки тому

    • @XenoTravis
      @XenoTravis 3 роки тому +2

      Yeah they kinda messed up having only one battery option and no easy way to swap them.

    • @khaliltheking
      @khaliltheking 3 роки тому

      They put the board upside down on a flat surface lock mode 2 full throttle... What does people expect... It's literally 2 twice the battery of the flex with exactly the double ESC motor pulleys and belt to consume electronic energy. The 2 only exceptional things they did on this board are the DK trucks and the silly price they put on it.

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  3 роки тому +1

      I keep thinking I've made a mistake too haha.
      I'm going to do another 4WD street range test but this time I'll have turbo mode off, I'll ride at a more cruising speed between 25-30kmh and I'm going to loosen off my belts a bit, I think they might be a tad tight.

    • @bastion9178
      @bastion9178 3 роки тому +1

      For heavy riders + a lotta hill-climbing, 2wd means less range than normal, while 4wd means more torque and less range drop. Taken into consideration the normal range of 2wd and that of 4wd, the range is less of a concern in this scenario. HOWEVER, if you'll be climbing and coming down steep hills regularly, 4wd would be so much better as to safety concern, since you're relying on four belts when breaking rather than 2, which means if one or even two belts snap at the same time you'd still be able to break. Learnt this the hard way a week ago... I had one belt snap on me when I was riding downhill and didn't jump the board soon enough, resulting in a really bad road rash.

    • @rutleyj
      @rutleyj 3 роки тому

      @@bastion9178 ouch. I rode sport bikes for years. I know the days of scrub brush and roadrash. Thanks for the input. Wish the 4wd was cheaper. This is my first eboard so I want to get something I enjoy but I am afraid of not liking it as much as I think for 2k

    • @bastion9178
      @bastion9178 3 роки тому +1

      @@rutleyj yeah the price on the 4wd is a bit high. You could always go for a normal 2wd board and gear down for more torque, especially with cloud wheels on. Just find a pulley with a lot more teeth than you’d normally use.

    • @eSkateHub
      @eSkateHub  3 роки тому

      Yeah, I've been trying to think about how you can get around all of the work needed to switch to 2WD. Exway's plan is to have both ESCs automatically turn on when you power on the remote. I wonder if you'll be able to manually turn one off. I don't think Exway have even figured out how they're going to implement it.

    • @contorta960
      @contorta960 3 роки тому

      @@eSkateHub it seems very simple, I would think you can just switch between the 2 on the remote. Of course having the belts attached would cause unnecessary drag so just removing those should be sound. I saw on the remote switching between drives, I assume that works with both motor controllers installed but no one is experimenting with that yet apparently. Very excited to see because evolve is a no-go now. If this lives up to its specs in 2WD then it's a winner
