What I find the funniest about Elaine's dance is that even in real life she said she became very self conscious about (not wanting to) doing the dance on the set because the whole crew laughed at her...not with her, at Her.
Exactly why the dance still resonates. It reached down and made people uncomfortable. Maybe it was a little too close to the spastic movements some physically or mentally challenged people make in real life.
