Another lesson , never , never discount your services. People that ask for discount 1st of all they are not appreciating your effort , 2nd they probably have the most horrible books and 3rd they probably will pay late or not pay. let them go and ghost other people but not you. Thanks

@ thank you for taking your time and share valuable information . That helps bookkeepers not to fall into a scammers trap. That is the right word scamming since they are taking hour time and money .

Hi. Check out my other videos for marketing and sales tips. I also have a paid marketing course for bookkeepers at 5mbacademy.com

What does it mean you "walked away" from it ? Couldn't you sue them or anything related to the BBB ? I don't understand it....

I did not pursue payment. I chose not to let the matter consume me or take away from moving forward. If I pursued legal action, I would have been consumed by the situation.

Would you say it's unreasonable to take a client to court if your side of the agreement is upheld but your client refuses to pay you even after sending a formal demand letter? I really enjoy your videos and find them incredibly informative thank you :D

I am not an attorney so I can't really say what kind of legal recourse is available.

I've learned these lessons the hard way too. When I hear, "help me clean up my books", I run as far as fast as I can. Love the idea of a paid diagnostic review.

I'm glad to hear that. I will not do a cleanup without a paid diagnostic review.
