Nice rod and reel lineup. I am a big fan of 13 fishing rods and baitcasting reels. (Not so much their spinning reels- I have swapped those out for Kastking.) You got on some fish. Not bad for late winter. I am jealous of winter fishing in Texas, though. I have not really figured out the jig.
Thanks! I love 13 fishing rods and reels. I need to branch out a try a couple other brands to get a comparison though. I like the KastKing spinning reel I have. I have been wanting to try some of their baitcasting combos. The jig can be fished many different ways. It also depends on what jig you’re using! Thanks is for watching 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Duke shirt! Fellow NC bass angler? Looks like a fun day!
I know that the lufkin golf club used to be in there that got shut down in like 2017 so I’m not sure but just looking for some spots to fish in lufkin
There’s the zoo, which is public, and jones park (public, but kinda stinks). I love Ratcliff lake. It’s public, and about 25 mins from Lufkin. It’s a pretty lake. One of my favorites.
👏🙌 quality
🤜🏻🤛🏻
Yep yep yep, was gonna suggest an Alabama rig but I see you’re already on top of it buddy, perfect selection. I always tell myself one day I’m going to slow down and learn how to use a jig the way it’s supposed to be used and master it I just never can do it! Closest thing to a jig I throw is a jackhammer chatterbait lol.
I get inpatient too, but it’s hard to beat the jig around fallen down trees. I need to get better with the chatterbait. The problem I have with them is the cost!! Haha
@@LunkerHunter haha yeah man for sure and for me these days of course “it has to be the jackhammer” the damn expensive one lol get heartbroken when I lose one.. when the waters warm I definitely do the most to try an get it back 😆.. nice vid once again buddy definitely expected to see some crappie in the vid, all those trees and brush, definitely looked like a crappie hole there! I got a Perception Outlaw 11.5 my first kayak, I’ve yet to get a chance to try it out! So I watch all your content to get hype because I know it’s gonna be a blast.
@@FoolisH409 oh man, you’ll love it on the yak! Let me know once you take it out! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

👍🏻
Hey I was looking for a spot to fish in lufkin with my dad and it comes up as lake myriad on my phone is it private? Or public??
Do you know who I would need to talk to to ask for permission to fish this pond ?
I have the same kayak... pretty brave standing! How do you like yours?
Haha. I know there will be a day I take the plunge. Hopefully in the summer time. Definitely only doing it in calm water. 🤣🤣
@@LunkerHunter what camera are you using? Nice video!

Private pond w/ easy to catch fish (check), Texas so not really winter (check)... This is why people really shouldn't get down on themselves for going out and catching 3 or 4 bass all day in actual fisheries that aren't world famous.
Lately, 3-4 bass in a day has been a WIN for me, so this was a good change. I’ll be going out this weekend to a lake that’s going to be more difficult to catch fish. Wish me luck 🤞🏻
