I appreciate the insight. I had a whole segment on this intro that I clipped off (notice how abruptly it starts and how short it is?) that even apologized in advance that this episode is just show and tell. But I clipped it because I felt like it detracts from my own excitement and diminishes the content for no reason. With that said, I can’t win them all. I try hard to go in depth about everything I do, and all of my decisions, and I know for some, that’s what keeps them here. For others, they want progress and nothing more. I can’t keep everyone happy. All I can do is make the best content I know how to while I build the car I want to build. I can’t go any faster, but I love to share, I love to educate, and I love to talk. And this is the result. Hopefully the next episode will be more fruitful in terms of output.
Builds of any type ebb and flow. Periods of tons of work, other periods of waiting on parts, planning etc. Overall it’s incredible how fast a build of this level of quality, uniqueness and individual creativity is happening.

Glad to see the suspension is holding up well! Not necessarily the most labor intensive episode, but definitely a more progress checking and checklist making one. I'm sure it's probably going to upset some viewers because it seems like "filler", but it's always important in a build to take a step back every so often and just revaluate what still needs done and to prioritize what should be tackled first. Like the axles! Seems like a simple enough checklist item on paper, but it'll definitely need tackled first because of the amount of custom fab work needed to even get them to you. Realizing the lead time on those alone bumped it up your priority list. You know I'm always appreciative of you showing the real side of a build, and slow weeks making/revising a game plan are definitely part of that.

Impressive weight numbers considering it still has all the OEM glass and it is a steel bodied car. Keep at it. Your enthusiasm is well founded as important progress has been made in the past few weeks.
Yes, weight is impressive. Keeping in mind that swaybars, wheels, shocks and these axles will add up another 120 kilograms, still lightweight. Is a rollcage already mounted in (30kg)? Will you mount hollow swaybars and aloy spindles? As ever I am very pleased with the amount of insights. High class! Greetings from Holland
Detail, detail, detail… this is what is needed to ‘make’ a project… this channel is full of detail, plus the failures and cock-ups… and dedication… this is life… and the reason so many project cars not finished. Unlike the heavily edited ‘reality’ that many other UA-cam channel projects and builds show to their viewers.
Not gonna lie... I've greatly ignored this build the entire time since it's been popping up in my suggested videos list, simply judging off the of the channel name (I relate stance to the stupid low offset wheel trend that ruins cars). I finally caved and watched the video before this, and very pleasantly surprised! I was not expecting a quality build, let alone and extremely knowledgeable and well presented builder. I subbed and hit the notification bell after watching the last video. I now need want to go back and watch this whole thing from the start! I couldnt believe someone was taking an engine out of a Ferrari and putting a Honda engine in when I first found the channel.. now I am hooked on every video. Really interesting project and looking forward to first fire up !!!!! Great videos..Mike....keep em coming !
this is an absolutely amazing build!!! love what you are doing, that being said, the axle situation is not going to be as simple as you think, that hub you're presently using is going to be a problem, there isn't enough real estate there to make a hole large enough for the axle to pass through. It's coming together so nicely. I remember you mentioning the rear bumper metal mesh in an earlier video, and thought i'd suggest that if the mesh has a 90 degree bend at the edges, it will be stiffer, easier to mount and will look more high quality (in my mind).
Well I think your work is thorough and comprehesive, it also shows the difficulty of the task. I have a personal affinity to your project because the 4 piston racing K24 my dream engine.

Mike, have you looked at possibly using the Drive Shaft Shop Corvette stub axles that mate to readily available aftermarket Porsche style CV joints?
