There are so many that don't take the stories and truths of the scriptures literally. There are few who take the scriptures at their word these days. Thank you.
In my study it seems to me there are some details God doesn’t seem too hung up on, like number of years, geography, certain details and especially giving a perfect scientific explanation. Pearl of Great price writes about periods of creation. I think it’s important to not die on any of those hills as some folk seem to contend or lose faith. I find the more we focus on the beauty of good tasting doctrine and letting His spirit fill the more, our light will lead others to the better path. I try my best through these.
@lineupon even if pofgp is ambiguous about "creative periods" vs. days (as defined by either OUR or God's timeline), I often hear a variation of this defense: it's best not to place faith in unclear doctrine, so you don't lose your faith. Ie avoid truth claims, so you don't get hurt. But it's been made perfectly clear by scripture that the earth has a temporal existence of 7000 years. People are endlessly creative in their attempts to make our doctrine align with common sentiment, but all that does is hurt the Doctrine. I'm okay putting my faith on a literal understanding of the 3 accounts of creation. And if I'm wrong, I'll gladly accept the full truth when it's given. But until then, I must choose the scriptures and prophets over pop culture.
@@tjedwards4254it is not “common sentiment”. It is our best scientific understanding. The idea that the earth is 7,000 years old is no more absurd than the idea that the earth is flat.

Ok, very important you all know that I (Matt Brown) only lead the project and Living Scriptures. While I did write and do the voice over for much of the Book of Mormon series (4 years ago), I've never done art (which I'm terrible at) or animation. So cool. I think the Book of Mormon is a science book about spiritual stuff. Like they explain the science of why we need justice, and the science of faith. If its explaining a sure order, im pretty sure its science.
Dude studying scriptures is a challenge but I have gotten better and better. A serios study really sounds like a challenge, but i think it would be cool to start with studying the science it explains.

My kids absolutely love this series. My oldest child has a goal of watching them more often so they can learn about the gospel. They bring line upon line up in primary class all the time. 😅

So you guys will continue making weekly videos? I thought you guy maybe weren't since the year you started it was Book of Mormon so I didn't know if we were just going to repeat those and you guys were done now?
Great question. It will be a bit of a mix. My (Matt Brown's) voice will be re-recorded by our great voice over Joel. We never did the first 3 months so those will all be new. We've redone some that we consider sub-par and will be adding the Line Upon Line intro. So hopefully they'll all look good together. :)

Wondering if they changed producer, it's hard to follow seems like they are struggling to tell a complex story, in a short time.
Always the challenge. We do try our best, doesn’t always work out.
wow, things have changed not near as good. Man use chat gpt to come up with a better story line. Genius is taking the complex and making it simple.
We'll take that under advisement. Specific feedback is definitely more helpful.
