These podcasts are so valuable. Justine you are a beautiful human being ❤ I started making Junk journaling as a way to help with my mental health. I have connected with so many crafters which I now call my friends. I too can go into my studio and can forget everything else around me, anything that is bothering me etc. I love what you do ❤❤

Hello lovely; I'm not sure how I missed so many comments from before. But I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing - I'm so pleased you feel the same way about forgetting everything around you when you're crafting and yay! for likeminded friends. Such a blessing 😀💖 xoxo

Thank you so much for sharing this podcast dear Justine ❤❤❤ Means so much, I Love junk journals and journaling for the same reason as you do and so many others in this Loving Community!
And crafting in general is helping me Soo much as I struggling with a cronic illness with lot of excrutiating pain! This life situation causes depression and anxiety aswell!
When I’m not paper crafting I love to do a lot of Cross Stitching!
Much Love to you and all JJ fans out there! ❤❤

I'm so sorry to hear how much pain you're in Anne - both physically and the mental side that can come with it. I can't even begin to imagine what that's like, but at least we've found this amazing craft to keep us positive eh? 😀💖
By the way, I used to do a lot of cross stitching too. JJs have kind of taken over a bit, but I look forward to getting back to cross stitch when I can find the time. I've been stitching a big cake picture on & off for a few years where each cake is a fun play on words. I should really get back to it lol xoxo

Thank you for sharing your love letter to Junk Journals I can definitely relate to pretty much everything you said. I also spent many moons being told this or that is not perfectly done enough and I became a perfectionist for it, it was so nice when I discovered JJ making that there was no rules, the sky is the limit, it's flexible & you can recycle so many things when making them it took a huge rock off my shoulders! It helps with my mental health & to wind down after a busy day. I have learned much from others & formed friendships with those who I resonate with both on a personal level & with our common interest being the joys of JJ making. I am so glad I wandered in to this garden of creative fun and "self healing" therapy 🥰💞

We must be kindred spirits! It sounds a lot like we fell in love with JJs for the same reasons... and that they became a kind of therapy 😀💖

All of your reasons, plus it's been a real God-connection for me with so many people the world over through YT, FB & IG as well as email newsletters. Like you said about perfectionism and mindfulness, it's the sort of thing that works so well with abiding in the Word, seeking His wisdom and focusing on the positive. It's amazing what creativity He brings out through this, and in a way that we can look at what we've made and say 'I really like that' instead of the usual self-doubt. Thanks for your inspiration Justine.
