@@TaylorTalksComics Yeah, there's no point reinventing the wheel: those stories had been restored for ATLAS AT WAR, so I just submitted them for this one. It was a year ago, so I can't remember now but I'd probably have had a quick look through to see if I'd missed anything and maybe tweaked a few bits, but there wouldn't have been much. The colour difference you note is just down to it being a different printer, different batch of ink, different paper stock and tone, probably a different colour profile... technical stuff. There was no recolouring or anything. Thanks for the great review, and I'm glad you're enjoying out books!
@@Rob-z7k yea, these seem to run around the same page count for these. The crazy thing is the amount of war comics Atlas put out! They could make so many more volumes of these!
I have all the other volumes so far but this is the one I've been looking forward to the most (other than the Al Williamson, of course--that one is pricier than the Maneely so I'm assuming a bigger page count). Nice to see you got the comments nod from Dr. V! Big fan of his intros in this series and the Atlas Masterworks...
@@davidosborn6714 yea, the Williamson collection is over 400 pages!! I can’t wait for that one! And yes! The fact that Dr. V watched my video is an honor!
Thanks for the review, Taylor! To answer your question, Alan used the same files for the two Russ Heath stories.
Thanks for watching! And thank you for all your great writing about Atlas!
That’s good to know I was very curious!

@@allanharvey6688 Thank you for clarifying that! I’m fascinated by the restoration process! And yes! These collections have been great!

@TaylorTalksComics my wish is for Marvel to release a complete Atlas era war comics in Omnibus format
@ that would be cool, but I prefer the restoration methods Fantagraphics/Allan Harvey use for these comics versus the Marvel masterworks method.
This is a fascinating release. I love that they retained the ads.
@@TheComicBookReport Yea! I love these classic comics for the history and the ads are a big part of that!
