I saw this live in 96 and haven't seen it since. It has been stuck in my psyche ever since. One of the greatest melding of eastern and western music ever. The look on PG's face at 3:15 says it all.

I agree with you drumflight. Nusrat voice was amazing: first time I heard it on CD, I thought it was a technical composition... Unbelievable. On the other hand, this PG song is one of his most impacting songs, I would say quite introspective, strange at the very beggining but addictive when you have carefully listened some times. Great performance.

I was lucky enough to see him in 1988. Sharing the stage with him was Peter Gabriel and Youssou N'Dour. Great show.
Radio City Music Hall in 1996. The audience was overwhelmingly Pakistani and many people were brought to tears. I'd never experienced a performance like it then or since.
