Feel like this bloke should be full time at street machine I love listening to him. Talking to people like him makes me love Australia.
He is great fun!
He's a rippa
Agreed
I agree
Yep best reply on this video, well said Mia
Give this guy the Aussie of the year award 100% hands down we need a guy like this representing our country ✊🇦🇺👍
Hell yes
Would vote him in
The pure joy in his voice, outstanding!
That’s what it’s about right there - you can hear in his voice the enthusiasm for building cars after 30 years.
I feel like everyone forgets just how fast a 10 second car is.
Very true!
@@danielbrealey2924 I've struggled to get low 12s with the same power in other cars. Not just power, power to weight etc.
I dunno. I reckon it would be about 10seconds.
@@FuManchu5ltr that was a good one. Spit my drink out.
Watched a review on a v12 SVT Lamborghini the other day, and for over $700k you too can run a 10.8! We’ll done on the build fella!
300rwhp from an atmo 3.3l pushrod non crossflow 6 through an auto is bloody impressive
Thought he said 400
@@bensonhedges479 - 400 estimated at the crank.
186 be better
@@Mac-zl4po no. 186 might have a steel crank, but lacks the torque of the 202
The energy that this bloke is as addictive as his Torana!
THIS bloke ! Clearly a talented engineer . 3.3 litres (202ci) , Pushrods , Fully fitted Door-slammer . 10 SECOND CLUB ! Infectious enthusiasm . Loves it .
Growing up in the late 90s if you had a car that ran a 10 sec pass, you'd be the talk of the area. It's awesome to see a little na 202 run a time like this. Refreshing as it reminds you of the good old days before BARRAS AND LSAs etc hit the scene..
Only the old school boys can truly appreciate. 100% agree cobba
I had an lc with a 265 hemi six pack 4 inch bore and 120thou offset grind crank with a 15 inch engine set back,on the streets of brisbane in the mid 90s it was unbeaten, was Probally a mid 11sec car. fuck it was mental.Never raced Andy fox or the top hitters but it surprised everyone.
Love it. In a time where everything is turbo and 1000hp street cars are common, it's still impressive to see an NA inline 6 running 10s.
Especially an old school 202 :)
This video had me smiling from the moment Trev started talking. Great story brought to life via an exceptional video. Top work.
I'm 62, and have owned my LC gtr since May 1978 ( bought it 10 weeks before my 16th birthday ). I went through the go faster stage, eventually running a pro-stroke 235 with a garrett strata turbo with a 48mm Dellorto / supra 5 speed 3.36lsd combo. eventually got sick of the constant tuning / maintenance regimen and pulled it all out for an RB30et / tremmec TKO and 3.25lsd 9". the car is super reliable, i hardly ever touch it mechanicaly now and it is super smooth in traffic or goes like a rocket riding coyote when i want it to. good to see i am not the only "mature man child" to still be messing with toys.
This bloke is a hero, loved the attitude and hope he bloody enjoyed his well earned sixpack!
Love it. Makes all the right noises and would give bigger engines a good fright.
Cinematography and edits are next level in this video btw.
Epic epic epic. Someones lucky having a dad like that.love it
I just love the excitement in his voice as he explains everything. He is like a kid getting his first pushbike on Christmas morning.
Came here to say this is probably the nicest video production I've seen from SM so far. Well done!
Couldn't agree more, it's bloody awesome.
Agreed 100%
This bloke is an absolute legend. Just a deadset genuine Aussie bloke. Who can certainly build a bloody motor. What a weapon
This bloke should have his own channel. So much more entertaining than channels with 100k + subs.
10.7 from an NA 202 is absolutely insane, I didn't think that would even be possible with a bigger crank. This guy can build a motor thats for sure.
I used to pit crew for bloke who run regular 11.0s in a little red FC with triple 48's we never got into the 10's but we had a lot of fun tryin.
What an absolute legend! This is how a car is supposed to make you feel!
He's an amazing storyteller. Could listen to him all day. Great car with a great story to boot
The times are all that matters....Amazing point and boot!!!
Handling has to rule king for good times...!
: )
Done very well boys. Great interview with a real Aussie in a real Aussie car. I’m impressed on how much appreciation is acknowledged in these comments on a vehicle without a Barra or ls turbo. These is saviour to humanity 🙌
Love the passion! This just made my Monday morning!
Scotty needs to do some calobaration episodes with these types of blokes on CARNAGE
It's a little hard to collaborate with anyone at the moment but we get your intent.
@@STREETMACHINETV At this rate with NSW dropping the ball, it'll be 2023 before the rest of us get together...
😢
@@MafiaboysWorld I agree, but I can't hit the like button over this subject... 🤦😂
For sure, what mint idea
What? Somebody said Calob was here?! 🤔
A true car enthusiast and a true Aussie guy, great lil torie, a simple lil set-up but brilliant
love this fella, hes a true blue fair dinkum Aussie, these are the men that invaded my dads garage every weekend and worked on cars, that voice brings me back ,OUTSTANDING
What an awesome story. Very inspirational for those of us who are bringing the old classics back to life and back to the street.
Thankyou sir.
what a top guy...and you can just see how much he loves what he does. but $1500 for a Torry...that was one awesome deal he got there. 🙂🙂
The guys a legend. Good to hear someone get excited about their car
Great story! It's so good to see what is a nice, basic, quick, car. No million dollar blowers, ten turbos, haltec, motec, full custom chassis, blah, blah, blah and enough money spent to finance your house. Really refreshing and enjoyable.
This bloke is an absolute natural presenter what a great personality and presence in front of the camera.
It was a pleasure to meet Trev at the All Holden Day at Toowoomba yesterday. What a great guy, same in person as he comes across on the video. I've shared this video to my Blacktop Photography Oz page on FB.
Seeing him so keen to pumping down the quarter was awesome that feelings got to be the best in the world
The delivery of this story is amazing, great feature and a credit to him to do something different!
Awesome video + genuine bloke + great car = big smile on my face. Made my day.
Wow, I'm over 60 so, this brought back so many memories, thanks
Thisbhas been the best build story from street machine in a long time. I hope i have half this guys energy at his age. Well done
love the car and the passion this bloke has he just seems like he never has a bad day
I'm in love,a Torry with a 6 running 10s ,crazy 202 is a real credit to the builder, love the channel and keep it up mate 👌
What a great video! Best ive seen in a long time. Ripper little screamer
What a cool character, hope your buddies upgraded that six pack to at least a carton Trev. You certainly deserve it mate, what a great build!
from Start to Finish......I cant get this smile off my face.Your a bloody legend mate,TRUE BLUE OZZY
Ahh the mighty Holden six. This was a pleasure to watch. Thankyou Street Machine
Not a Holden guy but MAN you have to hand it to him, That Torana is something special!
Many blokes did 265 swaps back in the day but to make that 202 work hard with triple Webers is awesome, Sounds good too!
Why would anyone be a Ford or Holden man and not just a every brand man? Never understood that
@@ayycee5303 agreed.. used to be a "Holdens rule and everything else is a piece of shit" kind of bloke in my late teens and very early 20s but being nearly 30 I've learnt to appreciate a great and well built car regardless of the make
The sound gets me every time.
His enthusiasm and attitude is what makes this video great
I love this guy. Love your energy mate 👍 great to see someone still doing a carb'd pushrod 6
I love this guys energy! Long live the 202!!
I love this car an absolute dream car. My uncle had one when I was a kid and when he past away I always said I wanted one. Unfortunately as life goes prices are now through the roof but maybe one day the dream will live on. Great video guys this one touches home.
Absolutely beautiful and what a glorious sound
Awesome video guys, keep producing these!
Mate WELL DONE!! You are a engine master! Absolute beaut looking car too. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome combo - miss the LJ
Thanks sharing, a great yarn. Cheers
Great watch, well done guys :)
Take note fullboost. See all the comments regarding a champion Aussie bloke on the thread without a boosted ls or Barra? Your channel has changed direction to a popularity flop competition. Put real blokes with real car achievements on ya channel & get real again.
@@saboostaddictaddboost1972 at first i thought you were the first fuckhead commentator. But then i re read your comment and you are a legend. But dont know if i can agree 100% bud, it takes all types of people to make this a great channel. Me and you agree but we are both probably old school and unfortunately the new school boys just can’t relate to what you are saying here. Old generation fans vs new generation. Unfortunately the new school weren’t around as long as me and you to truly appreciate what this legend bloke is capable of😉
That’s the best video I’ve seen in a long time. In any category. Put big smile on my face 🤙🏼
The passion, love it
Well done. Smart builder. That is an awesome build. Sounds fantastic. 🙌
That was awesome!!! I'm a Ford Girl, however, I've always loved the LC and LJ Torana's, especially the XU1. Your 6 cylinder "pocket rocket " is a work of passion and determination for THE most expensive "6 pack" I have ever heard of, maybe even the world.
Full respect too this man and his build! Car rips!
Miiiint! The in car footage from that first launch is brilliant!
What a great build.
That’s a little weapon, love it, killer job on the build.
That's a really nice example of the '71. And a really passionate, likeable bloke too. I'd love to see what it looked like when he bought it! $1500 and 5 years work. Well worth it! Great video, cheers
And to think back in the day I thought my 186 was fast at 14.7 haha this thing is 4 seconds faster! Awesome video it’s made my day
Mate honestly 14.7 is fast for a 186. A 202 running 10.8 is just crazy fast.😉👍
love this guys passion and enthusiasm
That’s an absolutely lovely car and the dudes totally stocked on it. I’m such a fan of the sound & basic Machanic’s of Webber’s. Had a set on my Datsun 1600 & the sound is unforgettable.
What a bloody rippa , go the 202 haha great little combo 😀😀
This fella needs to be on street machine more often mate well done
That's one quick ok LC what treat to see a ol' red motor nailing it down the track, awesome owner to by the sounds of it !
Listening to the engine under full load along drag strip sounds smooth no excessive screamin' just torque on torque on torque from a wee lil' 202ci , Great build from a guru who knows his stuff💪
Good ol 202 red motor ✌
Congratulations mate beautiful build and love the engine work
Gotta love a set up where the factory engine is being used, just goes to show that some like a challenge....Nice work..
Awesome job mate looks great as well
Loved this story . It’s what dreams are for.
Really good. I’m impressed.
amazing perfomance from a holden 6 , well done mate!
the most aussie bloke ive seen in ages, what a champ!
Good on him. Winning the bet and having a very fun street car ta boot.
What a character, great story and vid
This is bloody awesome makes me so so happy to see. I would love to hot up my 202 like that
Awesome torana awesome video thanks street machine. What a beautiful red

Awesome build great job.
i love this bloke aye, what a legend. good on ya cobba
True blue , onya mate!!! congrats on the dial in and craftsman ship , build me a engine and it will come , i need a shell , preferably Lc sedan or coupe .
Loving a great Aussie
Wow that is one hell of a kick ass 6 pack.
Love it, epic results, entertaining owner - class
The best car story I ever heard in my life👍
Awesome, love the lc’s and lj’s.
Made me a bit depressed watching this. The biggest stuff up of my life was selling my LC GTR. And this beauty just hammers that home. What a beast.
I’m feeling ya buddy. Did the same thing as you 20 years ago and still regret it.
That’s awesome, well done!!!
That is an awsome build and car.
That's absolutely glorious!!
Awesome love that it's a red six!! Great clean little Torana!
Awesome! Science in aaction.
That is really impressive !
Bloody nice car. Terrific job mate
