@RomeYe posted a video at a throwing session with receivers 6 days ago and Innis still isn't allowed to run. Day or Mick yelled from the sidelines when he tried to run a route lol. Interesting to watch re trying to figure out a starting QB. Both Howard and Brown trying to be the leader in parts of the video.
I think the 5th wr conversation could have gone deeper. If any of the top 4 go down we have something to talk about. Is damarrion Witten moving to receiver?

I just hope => in the 3-4 games where we need a QB to throw accurately downfield say 15 to 35 yards beyond the LOS => that Ryan Day has the same level of understanding and cajones as Nick Saban did inserting Tua => by inserting J Sayin or A Noland to win if/when Howard isn’t getting the job done……

In 2017, when OSU was playing TTUN at their place and losing => and JTB-IV became injured and => Dwayne Haskins was forced into the game and orchestrated a tremendous comeback => did Dwayne start the next game ? Barrett had to have surgery. Day wanted Haskins to start….. but it didn’t happen because Urban Meyer was the HC not Crying Day.
When our Buckeyes played Oregon at home in 2021 and Oregon was w/o their star Defensive player => still Day + Stroud could only manage 7 first half points and in the 2nd half CJ threw a late INT that cost us the game => did Soft All Day replace himself ? Did he replace CJ ? Hard no to both. He replaced his Defensive Coordinator.
When Day named B Hartline OC and it looked like BH was calling plays in the Spring game => remind me, was Hartline calling plays after midway through the 1st game ?
Crying Ryan is getting paid 10 million dollars to be the HC => if chipper’s belly falters, gets too far behind or the offense struggles in a few of the major games => Ryan will take the reins in an effort to save himself => not their friendship.
Still…..I hope we win ‘em all and never have to find out….Go Bucks!!!
I feel what you’re saying. I think/ hope Day has shown a more aggressive approach overall to win games. He definitely seems to stick with the guys he picks, opposed to gambler mentality

You SEE IT => as a gambler mentality…….
I see it as => a skill set opportunity, an increased probability outcome, a no risk no reward issue.
But it’s not to be done randomly or w/o maturity and development of said players. We play our QB’s strengths vs the opposing defense’s weaknesses and limitations to gain a tactical advantage.
A quarterback with a limited skill set won’t match up equally to Defensive schemes designed to stop the run…..verses designed to stop a passing attack….verses a defense that is well balanced and can attack your weaknesses.
It’s football => not brain surgery!
