- Garuda Indonesia has received its first A330-900. This new generation widebody aircraft is the first of 14 A330-900s ordered by the airline. The airline currently operates 24 A330 Family aircraft on regional and long-haul routes. The A330-900’s increased range and enhanced economics will contribute to Garuda Indonesia’s fleet modernisation and growth plans, allowing the airline to launch non-stop services from Jakarta to key destinations in Europe.
Garuda Indonesia’s A330-900 is configured for 301 passengers in a comfortable two class lay-out with 24 Business class seats and 277 in Economy.

Yes it was. Garuda also the one who proposed the idea. It resulted in Airbus engineer simplifies the A300 by introducing the FFCC model. The idea was later copied by Boeing who introduced it on its 757

This is why Garuda Indonesia have a 5 Star rating on Airlines. They always have a new plane and their plane always get tested first before taking a long flight.
@Steve Rimon Citilink is the cheaper version of Garuda Indonesia. Citilink always got a new plane yet the ticket is cheap. They got a A220, A320, A320neo, 737, and 737 Max is the highest. They probably get their money out of there.
@Steve Rimon they restore them, sold them or take the parts that still works and placing them on the non working parts on the new plane. Because who knows? New planes can crash and suffer aswell. Like the Lion Air Flight 610. A new 737Max crashed out of predictions

The plane's seating configuration is 2-2-2 on the First Class and 2-4-2 on the Economy Class
