Kings Island OPENING DAY 2015

- Opening day at Kings Island, 2015! Two new rides this year: Woodstock Gliders and Snoopy's Space Buggies, both located in Planet Snoopy. Some other cool additions are interactive park maps that include wait times for the major rides, Coca Cola freestyle stations, and a very large Starbucks. Filmed Saturday, April 18, 2015.
As usual on an opening day with nice weather, the park was very crowded and the lines were long for just about everything. I didn't get to ride much, but no matter -- it was just great to get the season started. Thanks as always for watching!

I work at the park and go there every weekend and every day during the summer and know everything about the place...yet I still love watching your videos. Thank you for making them so awesome!!

I'm so excited to visit the park on our twice yearly trips. I get to go in July with my bff and in August with my family. Excited to ride the bat the beast banished vortex and the rest of my favorite rides

That really sucks to see the arcade being gone, but still, Kings Island is a HELLUVA lot of fun. I'm blessed to be able to say that I was part of the experience last year. :D
You know it's busy if there is a line for The Bat! WOW!
Every Year In July We Go to Kings Island And The First Ride We Rode Was This Ride This Year and The Biggest Line For The Bat Is 2 people.
I've never been there, but I'm going next month. This helped me see some of the rides they have for when I do go.

if going on the weekend I suggest a fast pass. I would ride the Banshee or Diamond back first. both lines move pretty steady even on crowded days. Firehawk and Flight of Fear be prepared for a 90 min plus wait
Looks like you had a great time man. Great footage as always! I really loved the time lapse of the rides near the end of the video. Great idea! I probably won't be able to make it to the park until June. Looking forward to hanging out again sometime this year.
Sean Flaharty We'll definitely have to make plans to meet up again this season! I'm having fun experimenting with time lapse again. More of that to come this season.

AWESOME video!! Excited for the CP one in May! These hold me over until my OH parks trip in June. Wish there were videos like this from other Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks and others like Busch Gardens and Hershey!

Let me guess: the 2000-2009 sign at 5:23 is sort of a memorial to Son of Beast, one of the first wooden coasters with a loop/inversion.

Remind me to never go on opening day. I have been going to this park for 26 years and I have never been there when it is that crowded!!! I don't think I could deal with half my day being spent waiting in line and dodging foot traffic. I'd rather go on a day when I can practically run through the nearly empty queue lines. The best time to go is the last couple weeks in August. There's hardly anyone there. And the water park is still open!

That thumbnail is the best...vortex is what I remember most bout ki in the late 80s and 90s...I think all 3 or 4 times I was there were all from 91 to 99...remember the rattlesnakes fallin In that car on the beast? If i member correctly the woman got bit like 14 times before it stopped...

I love kings island but I have a feeling they will be closing the flight of fear soon or fireball because I went on the fire hawk and the ride broke down at the very end (which was a close one) so we were stuck in our seats for an hour

+SpeedytheGalaxiFox They've always had problems, but I see what you mean. Although I do think a refurbishment or something like that is coming, I doubt they will close them, they are really popular with some seriously long lines even on "dead" days.

Briannalovexo-xo It was a nice day...temps in the upper 70's. All opening days seem to be very crowded. The ONLY reason I go is to make a video.
Does anybody know if Cedar Point is adding those interactive maps for their 2015 season? That was so cool, and I'm always wondering what the wait time for the rides are and having to walk all the way to a rollercoaster and see its an hour wait sucks lol.

Imperial Coasters They didn't though I was just there a few weeks ago, no cool maps anywhere :( I don't understand why they would add cool stuff like that to a smaller park rather than they're bigger home parks?
Well I have heard they are going to add them sometime, it could be next year. Kings Island isn't one of their smaller parks, its now one of their main parks and is in the same state as Cedar Point is. Just give it some time, I'm sure they are planning to add it soon to CP. :)
Imperial Coasters Just saying, obviously CP is the main CF park, and I just want those maps so I can see the wait times for each ride in one place. It would also be a good idea to add that feature to the CP app. They have that at Universal Studios and Disney World parks it works really well.

Would you suggest to get fast lane passes for the 1st opening day of the season?
Definitely, my family goes on some medium days in the summer and have bought them for the past 2-3 years. Allows for much more riding. If your going with friends I wouldn't because hanging out In line is pretty fun.

Cedar Point still has a better variety of rides. Kings Island lacks a Witches Wheel, Matterhorn, Giant Wheel, ect.
