Unplugging my Firestick then taking the battery out of my remote plugging the fire stick back in putting the battery back on my remote and pressing the home button till it synced worked perfectly. Thank you.

Thank you for all the detail. My remote suddenly quit and I figured I would have to purchase new one and ask one of my children for help. I am a senior lady 80+ but still pretty sharp and independent. I went to UA-cam and started watching videos. First two didn’t help. Found your video and you had the answer! Easy to follow ! I did a reboot put brand new batteries too. Nothing. The tv won’t even reboot. Black screen. Light white light at the bottom of the tv. Like it’s in sleep mode. Do I need a new remote?

My remote went back to working by unplugging the fire stick, take one of the batteries out and put it back while the stick was restarting. So it worked, thanks!!!

HELP!!!I bought a new amazon firestick JUST so I could have a 2nd remote in the living room. I successfully paired the 2nd remote to my firestick that we have already had for a couple years. It worked for a while then I started to get the “low battery “warning. This is a NEW remote. I didn’t even use the amazon batteries, I used new energizer ones. I have tried all the tricks unplugging the fire stick, resetting my remote, holding down the home button, holding down the “three” buttons down together. Restated my fire stick, seriously these are just comical things that they are trying to get us to do. Can anyone help???

Sorry these steps didn’t help. You may need to reset your remote. I’m going to do a separate video on that. But in the meantime, you could look it up.
