This was a pretty easy and fun little project to add a little decor to my off grid cabin. I used a 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4" fluted bit by CMT to make this project and they were outstanding. The sign is made out of purple heart and of course I had to add a little texture with my carving knives. Thanks for following the journey!
Would be cool to laminate light and dark woods together and when you route down, the letters would contrast with the backdrop. Might have to try that actually.
The human CNC 👏 I didn’t even know that level of detail was possible to do manually. Nicely done!
Fantastic work! I kind of wish you'd painted the lettering white, or even gold - but that grain/finish is gorgeous!!
Nice job. That router looks like my old Skil one
Everyone new is saying CNC until the scallops at the end😎 looks great 👍
Beautiful wood carving router 👍❤️
What a beautiful piece, I do secretly like the letters in white they seem to stand out a little more.
You have a beautiful hand (penmanship)! An artist AND master craftsman)!
Love the sign. Know what it would go well with? A cabin with SIDING!
Great advice on using the larger bit first for more control and then moving to smaller bits. I’ve tried the smallest one first with little to no success. Thanks!
Really lovely. You've been using a lot of purple heart this year. A gorgeous color!
For some reason the Purple Heart reminds me of Scott Brown Carpentry’s pink pine😆
Perfect message both in meaning and artistry..
Nature equals solace for me.
I love this project! You gave me a couple ideas for finishing the kids for an urn that I’ve been putting off for almost four years.
Pretty fantastic work, dude! It turned out beautiful! 😃
Loving the content. One idea I’ve toyed with is temporarily adhering stencil letters and using a pattern bit.
Nice work.
INSPIRING!!! There are so many ways to do this, but this fits your cabin and personality. Great Job Samurai... :o)
Perfectly apt!
