The baby was Namor being born. You can see the wings/fins on his feet. Then they cut to him with the headdress on under water.
Sounds about accurate to me since they smoothly switchwd to namor
I hope they make namor mutant like he is in his comic
@@johnshepard8556 I was thinking the same thing. I think the door is open now so maybe they will.
@@johnshepard8556 He is going to be portrayed as a Mutant and much older than he looks.
@@johnshepard8556 I think they will 'cause they didn't give him the blueish skin tone like the rest of the Atlanteans. He also doesn't wear those masks/respirator things the Atlanteans seem to have on, which means he's able to breathe on land...
Y’all just wait on that funeral scene the whole theater is gonna be crying. I’m excited for Namor who will be representing my ancestors the mix of Aztec/Mayan culture.
Don't forget Polynesian, a lot of the designs of the clothing is Polynesian influenced.
@@blowc1612 Is it??? I thought it was mostly Aztec?
@@blowc1612 it's Mayan/Aztec actually. Feige said so at comic con
@@Serenity113 it's mostly Mayan. The drawings on the walls, clothing, and even the language they are going to speak is Mayan.
@@weebnibba1540 I thought it was. Ive a couple of comments that said it’s Polynesian. I don’t know how some people think it is.
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this trailer now, but I've cried every time. I will be in somebody's theater crying my eyes out all weekend.
I barely cried watching the trailer the first time...now I SOB EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT.
I was not expecting this to hit me so f'in hard. god.
@@wtimmins the real life passing of Chadwick is definitely gonna impact the movie experience
I didn't watch the trailer but I watched multiple reactions to it.
And most of them were pretty emotional
Man tell me bout it, I'm pregnant and everytime I watch these reactions....I can't stop the 😭
I love the Aztec esthetic with the Atlanteans. Really makes this looks like a war between two Tribes
It's Mayan. :)
@@weebnibba1540 it's both, or more, like maybe Incan as well...just like Wakanda drew inspiration from the many aesthetics existing within the African continent to create an unique world. These combinations are what makes the BP team so amazing and well-deserving of their Oscars. :)
namor actually is marvel’s aquaman but fun fact: he actually came first! aquaman is technically the knockoff. he’s originally white and marvel gave him a mayan backstory for the movie which i LOVE also, he’s also canonically a mutant in the comics! we’ll see what they do with that…
Good that he's not white
Aquaman isn't a knockoff. They debuted in the comics within a month or two of each other, which means that both companies were developing them at the same time. Also, personality wise they are nothing alike.
@@mikeduncan3953 Aquaman was still the one more often stated to be the character inspired by Namor so until outright proven to not be the case, that's as far as what we know about it
@@khalduras784 Stated by who? It's like when there were two volcano movies the same year, or two meteor destroying the Earth movies.
@@mikeduncan3953 except the fact that Namor's creation dated back 1939. Aquaman's was around 1941. So your example is false equivalency
Welp, Angela Bassett RIPPED my heart out with that line reading.
All I know is they are dealing with some underwater villain
girl this trailer GETS me! watch me be all up in somebody theater boohooing and looking a damn fool smh… and i can’t wait either 😭😭
The baby is Namor the submariner of Atlantis. They are unfortunately in a conflict with the Wakandians.
And yeah that’s RiRi Williams aka Ironheart. 🥰
Seems as if the Atlanteans are mad because some Wakandans gave up their location to those soldiers.
@@chrisconnors9449 it's been rumored that Dr. DOOM will be introduced in this movie. So he may be the reason the two great nations are fighting each other.
@@RG-df2lr
Yeah but with everything going on, I feel he won’t be teased or mentioned by name until either the very end of the film or in the post end scene credits. I think Attuma will be the main on screen villain, but Namor will get the blame for a lot of actions committed that he never ordered. That’s the vibes I’m getting from this.
@@chrisconnors9449 I can see that. Dr. Doom can easily be an Avenger's level problem, causing shenanigans over multiple movies storyline
Yes, that’s RiRi in red outfit with Suri. Atlantis and Wakanda fighting, I’m not ready. Sis, they got Auntie hollering; I can’t 😭.
I loved the way Michael B Jordan/Killmonger called her Auntie n Black Panther
When the queen cries out about her family...
can't...
just cant
Angela Bassett/Queen Mother is bout 2 put on a acting clinic
Girlll....Angela Bassett tho....that speech alone deserves an award....i've cried everytime i've seen this trailer.....
This looks so good. And gosh, look at the representation! The Atlanteans design are based on Aztec/Mayan aesthetics, with some Polynesian! As it should! You know the team that gave us Black Panther would do it justice. And Iron Heart! That's the female black iron man character for those that don't know.
There's so much riding on this. So many cultures. Please be good.
You meant Iron Heart? Not female black iron man, show some respect
Feige at comic con said it was strictly Aztec/Mayan.. Which is why they strongly felt that they needed to cast a Mexican actor
@@RG-df2lr yeah, especially since I think they're trying to distance Namor from Momoa's Aquaman. Lots of ancient civilizations have unexplained parallels tho, so it's likely that mesoamerican cultures have some iconographic similarities with polynesian (as well as other geographically unrelated) cultures, and viceversa.
No worry it will be this will be the biggest movie of the year it’s on November 11 Veterans Day remembrance day most people will be off anyway I’m going to be at the movies with a big box of Kleenex crying my eyes out and loving every minute of it😭
In Ryan Coogler we trust buddy
All those beautiful black women acting making my heat swell in this trailer, even the woman singing…..
I’m here Ryan…. LETS GO!!!!
Rip Chad 😌🙅🏾♀️ #WakandaForever
Knowing that we all around the world will be crying in the movie theaters this coming November is so overwhelming and yet strangely comforting. Because in that moment, we will all share something unique and special with love to celebrate the legacy of Chadwick and his Wakandan family. I am ready!!!
For those that don't know, Namor came put before Aquaman. Without Namor there'd be no Aquaman. He's mainly an antihero in the comics and has fought alongside Captain America and Magneto. I think someone is pulling strings to get both Atlantis and Wakanda to fight each other. It's been rumored Dr. DOOM may be that person.
I also just want to say that I feel honored that marvel made a change to one of my favorite comic characters (making Namor Hispanic) and allowed a piece of my heritage to be represented and be apart of the most important and epic movie franchises Marvel has to offer. I love it. Can't wait to see my ancestor's culture represented, along side my African brother's and sister's culture. I hope they come together in the end and fight the real villain. Here's to making history along with y'all. 🍻
Thats baby Namor being born. You can see the wings on his feet.
"Who are we introducing?" Tenoch Huerta, who is playing Namor. I actually like the angle they're going for. It seems there'll be parallels between Wakanda and Atlantis, maybe a disservice done to Atlantis by the surface world resulting in loss. And a need in both for family heritage and responsibility. I really need to see Namor cut loose though. That man can be brutally ruthless in the comics and is a long-time antagonist to T'Challa and Wakanda. Lots of bad blood there.
Really? Cause I recognized him as Rafa from Netflix's Narcos (btw he's really good in that). I'm sure he's been in feature films before...maybe they're introducing him into the MCU?
Did NOT disappoint me! I was waiting on your reaction!!! Yas queen!
My whole entire feelings are hurt. I can't wait to he a whole ass mess in the theater.
@@ManicMeeks oh, I will be 3 whole ass messes! My body, mind, soul, and spirit are NOT ready!!!!!
Those are Atlanteans who are led by Namor Prince of Atlantis
I beg you to watch this film in theaters in honor of chadwick boseman
This has to be one of the best trailers ever with such heart and emotion
The one thing that catches my attention every time I watch the trailer is the little boy in the throne room as it's being hit by the wave. He appears to be 6-7. Rumors have been going around that T'Challa and Nakia had a child and she was pregnant when the Blip happened. If that's the case- then that little boy is the right age and could be their child. I could also be overthinking that part.
The baby was definitely Namor since you can see the wing's on his ankles. He is basically Marvel's Aquaman.
And I'm also absolutely sure that was Shuri in the Black Panther costume at the end, because of the wrist- it looks very feminine and... I dunno, just a gut feeling.
Could also be nakia
Aquaman is DCs Namor. He came out first. Many years before Aquaman. Without Namor there'd be no Aquaman
@@RG-df2lr Thanks for the info- I literally didn't know that. I love learning new things :)
@@bethyoshida6715 you're welcome. I'm glad I could pass along the information. 😊
@@blowc1612 Nakia has more hips than the person in the suit. It's Shuri.
Yes, that is NAMOR: THE SUB-MARINER (thus the original green trunks and wings on the ankles) and the Kingdom of Atlantis! They're doing Atlantis as a fallen Central/South Americn city! And the rest of the Atlanteans are blue, because in Comics, Namor is the 1st modern mutant, thus why he can exist outside of water so long, and can fly, and is super strong, and isn't blue. Namor was created in the 40s, before Aquaman, around the time of Captain America's creation, when Marvel was still called Timely comics. There are 1940s comics with him and Captain America teaming up. But from the 60s on, since he's been reintroduced, he's been more anti hero than hero, who'll help the good guys or the bad guys, depending on which one helps Atlantis most. When he's not trying to steal Sue Storm from Reed Richards! I wish they recast T'challa as He vs Namor is epicness straight from the comics, but I'm still excited to see this.
They don't need a re-cast and you know it. ;)
@@WileChile51 Yes, they need a recast. The character is bigger than the actor. T'challa existed for over 50 years before Chadwick played him. They recast Batman, Superman, and even Bruce Banner within the MCU. I grew up with these characters. I'm sorry for the loss of Chadwick as a person, but T'challa should live on.
@@thefearmakerlive Nope. The movies are not the comics. They've done a good job of sticking close the comics when it makes sense, and also deviating from the comics when it makes sense. I understand comic book fans want the movies to be as close to source as possible, but recasting the role would have been a disaster. There's only one actor I could imagine stepping into Chadwick Boseman's shoes to take over the role, and that's Michael B. Jordan, but obviously that's not an option. It would be so awkward to see another actor in the role, and some people probably would have boycotted the movie. So they are not recasting T'Challa, and that is very easily the right decision.
@@arodin It's the right decision NOW, but some time in the future when the pain is less fresh, then maybe we can get the character back. They have a built-in method, multiverse T'Challa varient. Not yet, but we'll see.
@@ketchup016 That's fair.
My head is hurting from crying 😭
Yea. Riri is in the movie. I'm hyped for her and namor
My guess trying to piece together the trailer.
Im thinking the US military/government is trying to get into Atlantis. I think you are right there. Atlantis and Wakanda have a connection so that would make sense.
At the same time it looks like there is another story showing the Dora Milaje fighting a group in all blue. This group looks to be from Wakanda as well. So maybe another faction trying to take the Black Panther position. This could split Wakanda in that they have to fight two wars. A war with Atlantis and a war against other Wakandians. And I think due to Wakanda being stretched thin someone has to stand up as the new Black Panther.
I never laughed and cried at the same time lmao you got my emotions everywhere 😂😂 definitely just gained a subscriber!
Never thought a trailer can put me in tears. A magnum opus already in my eyes.
This was the MOST POWERFUL, EMOTIONAL, SADDEST, HEARTFELT MCU Movie Trailer Ever!!! 👌👌👌
LET’S ALL WEAR WHITE TO THE THEATER!! In honor of Chadwick ❤️
“My color will not allow me not to show up” this the one!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's why Marvel are masters of their craft. This woman doesn't strike me as a hardcore comic book reader (since she missed the Namor, Atuma, and IronHeart references), but the trailer still moved her to tears because of how good the Black Panther movies, are, how invested we were in Chadwick Boseman, and how much it hurt to lose this man in real life.
You have a beautiful spirit Queen love your reactions
Nobody seems to be able to make it through this trailer without a tear. Super great job by Mr Coogler and company
"Don't DO THIS TO MEEEEEEE" GIRL I FELT THAT 😭😭
Love ur reaction❤,so beautiful. Everything gone b alright
Love your reacts!!!
I just subscribed, love the content
3:55 That's Namor. He came out before Aquaman. However, Aquaman is just more popular than him. But Namor is more of an anti-hero. The Atlantians in Marvel and the people of Wakanda are ancient rivals. In the comics, Namor actually flooded Wakanda!
Namor is also Marvel's first mutant as well
Wakanda and Atlantis are not old rivals, the "rivalry", more for T'challa wanting revenge against Namor, only starts after this one, with 1/5 of the phoenix, floods Wakanda, and parts of other neighboring countries
God every time i watch another reaction video on this trailer i always cry
Me too!!! I have been sobbing all night.
Oh. MZZZZ ANGELA is definitely hollering in this trailer.
NONE of us were ready.
Adding Namor is going to really make Black Panther very interesting, to an already great plot. Love your reaction.
oh great heavens...that really got me sobbing
This was so beautiful 😍
Omg.....you are KILLIN' me!!!!
LOL!!!
❤️❤️❤️ this review!!!
It's like I'm ready, been ready...but still not. You know? Yeah. It looks so good though. I'll be there opening weekend for sure.
Just for the beautiful and absurd work of ALL the others in this movie I decided after this trailer to leave my "beat" with the Shuri actress aside and go watch with ctz that will be one of the best movies of the year. So much new stuff just in this teaser:
- The first part of the MCU
- Namor & Atlantis
- Namor's Throne is simply the Dental Arch of a Megalodon
- Riri Williams (Iron Heart)
- tributes to King T'Challa
I hadn't noticed that about the throne! It looks lit af
You never heard of Namor?
Theaters are gonna be flooded with tears.
Tenoch Huerta a a famous Mexican actor
will be playing Namor, his character will be
king of Atlantis his costume will be the Aztec jaguar god, it's a huge tribute to the native Mexican community, this mix will bring the black and brown community together!
You are my favorite like you don’t even know lol thanks to Johnny Odell like your one of my favorites.
It's baby Namor being born. I also believe that the end credits will show Doom was behind Atlantis attacking Wakanda. With the FF and Secret Wars coming in phase six this would be the perfect time to introduce him as he is a major player in both storylines.
which headphones you are having?
in this reaction? please mention
You are hil-ar-ious! Loved this reaction! #RIP Chadwick
I haven't seen any reactors mention Michaela Coel's brief appearance in the trailer.
Namor actually was introduced in comics before Aquaman I believe in 1938 and is the first mutant ever.Of course his character is recreated differently for the movie and he looks great!
“Look at her ass!” Lol.
Underwater scenes are Naymor aka SubMariner & Atlantis. And yes, that is Riri aka IronHeart.
Namor was the baby being born , he was one of the original mutants and his character was introduced in the late 60s by Marvel.
Good thing Namor is a well known character, the first mutant. Very well known and hella deserves the big screen can’t wait
Great content!
Amazing!!!!
If trailers could get Oscars 🥲
You were correct it is Atlantis. The MCU is introducing Namor, the Submariner. He is the one in the green bottoms. He is actually one of the Illuminati members in the comics.
Aquaman is a copy of THIS DUDE!
Namor the Submariner , The Emperor of the Deep, Lord of the Seven Seas, Imperius Rex.
Every. Single. Time
Your right about Atlantis. In the MCU its a Meso-American inspired (Aztec/Inca/Mayan)
Best reaction.
Every single time you never lied 😔😔
Yea the underwater scene is Atlantis & namor they mentioned In avengers about the underwater earthquakes the got this casting on point. & yea thats riri indeed.
great reaction sis. so far, not one reactor, either noticed or commented on the underwater baby was Namor, i mean, the baby born underwater with Wings on his ankles! We gon'be up in that theater for this one fasho!!!!
Tbh I also missed it on my 1st viewing cause the scene's so beautiful and it was placed alongside other emotional scenes/lyrics that I thought they were just highlighting the parallels between death and birth.
Yeah I hear they're going to put a desk out front of the theatres where you can renew the expiration date on your black card.
Introducing Tenoch Huerta, the actor who plays Namor.
Everything is gonna be alright ❤🩹 It's like ALL the good feelings I had with the first Black Panther trailer only now way deeper with this one! Thank you Ryan Coogler!!! Thank you!!! 😭❤❤🩹🥰
Going to the movies in all white
“They’re version of Aquaman”?? That’s Namor!!! The Avenging Son…Imperious Rex”! Missed that whole set up. Does this take place during the snap?!

Lol just wait til we find out that doctor doom is behind the drama between the two nations 👀
Such a powerful trailer !!!
& Namor in the comics is the First mutant in marvel...
No way you can watch the trailer only once .. it always warrants like 2 or 3 extra watches ...and it always gets you in those final 30 secs
Introducing Tenoch Huerta aka NAMOR!
Umma be there with my people, we’re going through this together 😞💯
Oh, that would be Namor... King of Atlantis, once considered the 1st mutant, OG member of the illuminati, literally one of the 1st Marvel characters ever created pre-dating Aquaman and fellow king, sometimes ally, but long time rival to T'challa. Their rivalry is one of my favorite things in marvel period. That, and although they can be bitter rivals at times, T'Challa, Namor & Dr. DOOM have mutual respect for eachother as kings of their own nations.
There are some suggesting wearing all or mostly white when going to this to honor Chadwick, as it is the Wakandan color for mourning.
I will be wearing white. I'm already looking because it's gonna be freezing in Ohio.
I like the scene with Ironheart
It’s Namor in the water scenes Tchalla has a love child in this movie plus Dr doom they bringing mutants into this.. take all my money I’m there ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 Wakanda Forever
I think the queen was giving birth to the black panther in the trailer
November 11
I would love for movies that are sequels/prequels to have a trailer before the movie that is effectively a "previously on..." like how TV shows do. It would be quite helpful and kinda cool.
Keep up the awesome
Show up and SHOW OUT~!
1:46 It's Namor, check out the winged feet on the baby.
i feel bad for anyone in the same theater as you lmaoooo
👍
Meeks, have you viewed the trailer for The Woman King?
Tems' voice🥺
That’s Namor the Submariner, and Aquaman is DC’s version of him! Namor is the king of Atlantis and Atlantis and Wakanda went to war with each other in the comics.
You have a profound linguistic prowess.
