You can't do everything in one movie! I think that the movie was just fine, if we see Namor again I am sure we will learn more about him and his people, if it had been done in this movie you would be complaining about a ten hour movie being way too long and how they tried to do too much in the bloomin movie!
I think they didn't give too much away about the Talokanil because Namor will be getting his own film. But, if I could have swapped anything out, I'd have taken out Ross'/Val's stuff and focused more on Talokan, yes. But, as a writer, I get them not putting everything out on front street right away. You're not supposed to when you're telling a series (of connected stories). You give just enough for it to make sense in general and move the current story forward and then you reveal more piecemeal as the series progresses. That's one of the fundamentals I've learned about writing.

I couldn't help but be reminded by the end credit scene in this film of the conversation T' Challa had with his father in the ancestral plane, in particular when the former King told him "A father who has not prepared his children for his death has failed as a father"-- King T' Chaka 😔

Dude Namor "swimming" in the air as he called it, is one of the most EPIC things I've ever seen... he's such a dope character him & his people. I also love all the story/character parallels with the 1st movie & Wakanda Forever (2022).

Mermaids use it as a magic conch shell. People use it in real life to try & summon them. The sound that is made when you blow into it has certain spiritual properties that attracts mermaids & merman. It's also somehow connected to their orgin as well. It's a lot of trippy stuff out here.
Shuri was willing to risk eternal war between Wakanda and Talokan by killing Namor to avenge her mother's death. But, when the moment comes, she hesitates because if she does this, there is no coming back from it. The Wakanda she knows and loves, the beauty of Talokan and its people will be changed. These will be two peoples at war and inflicting pain and suffering on the other. Then her mama comes to her as confirmation to not do this. To rise above her anger and grief. So although she shares some similarities with Killmonger (i.e. revenge), she chooses a different path.
I just happen to live in Chadwick’s hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. this man has done soo much for the local communities & kids down here. Wakanda Forever, My King 🤴🏿🙅🏼♂️🍻

I like that shuri's suit is a combination of her brother and killmonger with the gold and silver but also a bit of herself with the dots and blasters also the fact that she got stabbed in the same spot as killmonger

The whole bridge fight was so incredible to watch.
Most folks give no thought to the fact that folks who live under the sea need to be able to withstand immense pressures (that would crush a submarine) as well as be able to move against the water, so Atlanteans are going to be extremely tough and strong.

@@ayushhh5213 I heard that too. I meant it was probably her last appearance as a live action character, unless they CG her up to play Groot's sister or something, lol.
Also, in case it slipped by, right before Namor first sees Ramonda and Shuri, Ramonda says something like "shuri, there's something I need to tell you about your brother." and since at the end, we find out that Ramonda did indeed know about TChala's son, and she was probably going to tell her there.
This movie was filled with a lot of emotional rollercoaster. I saw the movie in theatres two days after the release, and I started bawling my eyes out in the ending. Okoye and M’Baku deserve their own shows. Also, RiRi Williams will be getting her own show sometime soon, so I’m excited to see how the show would continue her story after her introduction in Wakanda Forever.
I'd totally love a Dora Milaje series and a Nakia series too. Nakia's such a superspy that she's out here rescuing princesses in one business day! 😆

The scene where Ramonda strips Okoye of her rank, that is the scene that got Bassett her Golden Globe Award this year. ✊
Namor managed to keep his people hidden for so long, but I remember back to Iron Man 2 when Fury was talking to Tony and the screen in the back of a map with certain locations highlighted. Before getting Black Panther we obviously knew the one in Africa was Wakanda, but there was also one in the ocean, that being Namor and his people. So SHIELD had some suspicions about an underwater civilization
Lake Bell was technically already in the MCU as the voice of Black Widow in the What If...? show.
Amazing reaction to an amazing movie. It's my favorite of all the movies in phase four. Angela Bassett won awards for this role and she totally deserve them, she was THE queen.

Two things that got everyone in the theater. When his coffin was going up to show the image of the crossed arms and just the sound of the wind for the Marvel intro 😢. I liked Shuri’s entrance with the suit on. Would have liked to see more battle scenes with her before the big battle with Namor.

Also, Lake Bell does the animated voice for Black Widow in the MCU.

Actually, Tony ran into an icing problem, not lack of oxygen. This movie was perfect, as you said. All of the actors should have won Oscars for their performances, especially Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, and Danai Gurira. It's impossible to get through this movie dry-eyed. This time last year I was sending up prayers for the Lord to take me..but when I saw the teaser for the first time..11-11-2022 was the only thing I had left to look forward to last year. I want to say, I don't blame the queen for stripping okoye of her rank. She warned okoye of the danger involved in bringing shuri when the queen absolutely did not want them to go and she lost shuri anyways. It wasn't okoye's fault but actions lead to consequences

Nice reviews/reactions. I have one disagreement, they couldn’t develop Namor’s back story without taking from Shuri’s journey. Had they done that it would’ve been Namor’s movie🤷🏽♂️!
They did Namor justice by making him a bad ass, even more so than they did Shuri as Black Panther(some fans weren’t happy about that). In the comic books, Black panther & Namor were pretty evenly matched, not so much in the movie.
Anything more for Namor & it would have been Namor’s movie not Shuri’s/Black Panther🤷🏽♂️!
They’re not evenly matched in comics either. Namor has beat the hulk before. T’Challa tech is what helps him.
