I think you're seeing these highlights in game 6 specifically because Connor is better learning his opponents as the series wears on. Sure he can always make incredible plays, but he's also always adapting his game and learning his opponents, which is a big part of the reason why he's so good.
Absolutely right assessment of the move. Players respond differently to star players and great point of noticing the foot position (as this is the key to putting anyone one on one). The power of one player doing something better than "average" one on one puts pressure on the entire system (not just McDavid).
Tkachuk didn't run to Florida to get away from Kane or the Oilers, more likely the money & taxes were a major factor as well as the prospect of playing with his ex Flames teammates Sam Bennett & Ryan Lomberg.
@@alexlin6573not only can I take a joke & I have a real eclectic off beat some say warped sense of humor. It's in this situation the narrative or joke that Chucky is running is in itself running thin. It no longer applies because that was then this is now. The supporting cast that Chucky has in Florida is a lot deeper & dare I say a little more grittier than Calgary was. It's no longer a one head snake we are squaring off against its a hydra.
All you have to do is attack Mcdavid diagonally or E/W where you can have dominant closing speed on him instead of from behind or head-on where hes strongest.
The herion must be great in Edmonton that can be the only explanation, for this comment? The only other reason could be you commented on the wrong video. This is an oilers hype video lol. They are explaining the keys to success for the oilers... However the oilers won't be able to do any of these things because the panthers have only given 50% this whole playoffs, and probably still only need 50% to beat the oilers.
@@tontweerspeaking of being on heroin... the Oilers just beat a team that made the last 2 cup Champs look silly. Florida has nothing for them they haven't seen already. You think the Cats are gonna walk this? Have fun, you're gonna be disappointed.
Strong defense, solid goaltending and standing up to Florida's physicality, will be the keys to beating the Panthers! Do not allow Florida from luring you into, taking unnecessary penalties! Play tough, but play SMART? GO OIL COUNTRY GO!!!!
Now it is time for Connor to shine and prove to Canada and Florida why he is the best scorer in the NHL! The cup belongs back in Canada, as hockey is Canada's game, period!
They have over 400+mins on the PK in their careers. They played more PK last year, than this year, because Knoblauch took them off. They jump on near the end of PK to go on offense when it over.
Drai's always been on the PK. He doesn't play as much PK as our role players, but he's our best faceoff guy, so it's not uncommon for you to see him out there for the first faceoff of a PK then quickly switch off after they dump the puck. McDavid has been used on the PK in different seasons. He's our best player and he does everything well, but it definitely makes you cringe when he's blocking a regular season shot. For that reason, he's often not used on the PK. Additionally the team tends to benefit more from loading up the attack right after a succesful penalty kill, so that's when you'll more often see McDavid.
Panthers in 5, Oilers do not play Team defense, they just throw pucks away for 2 periods to burn off clock and they stick-check they do not incorporate hitting , then they attack in the 3rd....Panthers play real defense and they incorporate contact full time. Panthers have real Defense but Oilers blow smoke.....this will not last long...its a reality check for Edmonton to go spend money on a Goalie like everyone else..
These guys do horrible job analyzing these plays. Hockey Psychology does great job at analyzing those 2 exact plays, and makes more sense as to what McDavid was thinking. Video called The NHL Playoffs Have Witnessed History. I never really listen to NHL network/TSN talk, they are there for entertainment hockey news. Say what everyone wants to hear with half ass analyzing like this lol. NHL network writers all picked Dallas to win the series because of depth they said lol.

People forget how Kane scared Tkachuk so much, he ran out of Calgary all the way to south Florida.
I think Kassian had more to do with that
@@Steno316 The Kassian stuff was in reg season. In the playoffs, he was actually trying to get away from Kane the whole series in 2022.

Every player has a piece of the ownership on this team,no one is left out…Under Knoblauch!
mcdavid is not just beating the best defensive-mans right now, hes also beating the scouts and coaches, CRAZY
All you have to do is attack Mcdavid diagonally or E/W where you can have dominant closing speed on him instead of from behind or head-on where hes strongest.
If you want to stop mcdavid you'll have to check him every chance he passes it. Not while he has the puck, but when you know you can finish a check.
#1. Score at least one more goal than other team every game.
Exactly, it's that simple. Yet we're inundated with a million stats and narratives

Keep giving the Oilers motivation haha
