- "Discovering Freemasonry" is an 8-part series presented by Rubicon Masonic Society which is an invitation only private group of Master Mason Freemasons located in Lexington, KY. The purpose of Rubicon Masonic Society is to establish a deeper understanding and connection with Freemasonry, its traditions and practices, and further cementing the brotherhood of its members and guests through conviviality and unity outside of the lodge.
Brothers within Rubicon have worked diligently in order to provide attendees and viewers with a factual overview and introduction to the philosophy and principles of Freemasonry.
This is a not an educational program to detract from the initiatory experience nor to reveal passwords, grips, steps, or any part or parts of masonic ritual that is considered sacred or private.
Upon our studies and surveys in and outside of Rubicon, we have consistently learned that new and even veteran Masons were never provided an explanation of the fundamentals that can be delivered in a basic overview such as this…hence the birth of this series.
This video is Episode 1, which answers the question:

Superb presentation Brethren! Very informative.
Thank you bretheren for what you are doing. I made it to 32° without the inner teachings, just parrot work. I had to look outside of lodge unfortunately but humbly I discovered what I was looking for.
I pray the lodges begin teaching the craft instead of just repeating questions, answers ect.
Would you care to share the information you have with me?
Perfect video. Thank you 🙏🏾 I appreciate it
I’ve always been interested in learning more about freemasonry, hope someone here can reach out and maybe help she’s some light?
Am I allowed to send a email enquiring membership?
You'll need to first find the lodge closest to where you live. If there are multiple, visit each, and then you can petition the one you like best. Good luck on your journey.

If the teachings of Freemasonry are so beneficial, why not show us the ceremonies?
I'm not a mason but I'd wager it's because of the misunderstandings it would arouse from the uninitiated (kind of like people saying Catholics are cannibals for eating and drinking the blood of Christ) and partially to keep it sacred and internal instead of parading it to the world. Parts of the ceremonies are available online and even that gets sensationalized despite the explanations being available.
They end up talking about it in part 3. Go to 53:28 in that video
